Pardon? The Mustang is much thinner and midrangy than the sire which sounds incredible. You can really hear the kind of cheap thriftwood they use at Fender nowadays. Try not listening on your cellphone.
@@Ordash I am listening on my studio monitors and I still think that the Mustang is rounder, punchier and richer in frequencies. I am a Sire owner also.
Interesting, I like the individual pick up sounds of the Sire more but the blend of the mustang more. I had that same Mustang for a while and put Seymour Duncan in it. That's how I learned I don't really like Seymour Duncan pickups!
Fender's '62 reissue split coil works really well in a mustang pj, I paired it with a fender gen4 noiseless and replaced that cheap toggle switch while I was at it...that gave it alot more note clarity and also volume balance between the pickups than the duncan qp I tried in it before that
Both are great basses but I like the more present midrange on the Mustang.
Never looked back after getting my sire
Man both bridge pickups sound so good
Sympa le concept. GG
Thank you for the test. Question of tastes, but I own a Sire and I’m going to switch to fender Mustang pj
He is sponsored by Sire and M. Miller

Great comparison. Thank you.
Oof that’s a tough choice!! They both sound great.
Was the string height setup for the Mustang lower than the Sire?
Slightly lower yes, that was the setup out of the box for both basses 🔧
Fender Mustang by a mile. Rounder tone and loads more grit to it.
