Wow! Thanks so much for including our NS Pulse II basses in this excellent video. We really appreciate the kind words and support. Wishing you a fantastic 2023!
the origin effects svt bassrig is my favourite pedal, that i bought 2022. sounds 90% like my svt2, but is small and easy to carry. fantastic for a touring/live-playing musician.
Thanks for the incredibly kind words! Releasing the BASSRIGs has been an absolute joy, seeing it finally make its way into peoples hands after years in development is great. We promise we won't leave bass players hanging quite as long this time, stay tuned throughout this year!
That orange bass without dot inlays, a whole roasted maple neck more matching to the orange and perhaps some chrome tuners and bridge with a white pick guard. That would be a looker. Or a patchwork body with orange, green and purple with orange and white pickups and perhaps a PJ. Beautiful basses btw!
I had my hands on the ibanez btbs... I could not get myself up to buying one... I was looking for a multiscale for some time and tested the 805, the 605, and a dingwall. Got stuck on the dingwall in the end. I don't know why, but I just felt better with the 34 to 37 than the 35 to 37 of ibanez. Plus, i found the dingwall more comfortable. I had my hands on the ehb 1505 as well. In the end, I would recommend trying out scales and spacing on multiscales in a shop. As good as any of these basses are, multiscale is something you need to check out and find the one you like most.
The Origin BassRIG Pedal Super Vintage (Ampeg) It´s great! I have one and is the closest I´ve heard to an Ampeg. I compared back and forth with my SVT 2 pro. This pedal and a Digital poweramp o maybe a class d amp and you are set
So many engaging news at the end. I'm thinking about buying a 4 string Jazz in the future but always wanted it with rosewood/something near like pau ferro. Another model with those pickups would be great on the list.
Nice review, as a builder of basses that are interesting ideas but poorly executed here are my plans for 2023, feel free to steal any concepts you find interesting: 1. Finishing my Single pick-up fretless 4, the pick up is mounted on rails so you can physically change its position. 2. Finishing my quadrophonic 4 string with Kahler bass tremolo bridge. This uses a 5 pin xlr as it has a line per string for different effects loops. 3. Finishing my 3 string sub-bass BEA but with stupid thick strings tuned down an octave from normal & almost inaudible by humans even with 4 powered 200W 18" sub-woofers. 4. Starting the 5m, inaudible fundamental, single string (monochord) bass drone with fixed e-bow. If I finish any it will be a miracle but I'll let you know and you can invite me over with it for a nice idea but poorly executed review of more experimental, less commercial bass ideas.
Can´t understand that there are no active bass cabinets out there. As far as i know. Bergantino made one for a short while. We have an incredible selection of preamps where we can choose from. And than we have to bring our regular bassamp also to run the aditional preamp(s). Would like to see there options.
First, I'd like to thank you for all the great videos you've done & continue to do. They provide a great wealth of informative content. But I must take issue with your choice of #1, the Sandberg BassTheWorld model. It could be put together using the best components but that style bridge (shockingly poor choice) instantly disqualifies it from occupying #1 for any category with the exception of bass with worst bridge ever.
This bridge was particularly chosen for its physical and therefore sound-influencing properties. There’s a good reason why most modern JB designs still come with this very simple type of bridge
Great Video as usual....one thing I would love to see this year is a quality high end bass dedicated multiffects pedal. Basically like my old boss GT6B which has metal housing, knobs for parameter changes ,not menus....Id love to send my old one to boss and say, "give it a new brain" LOL
A sub-$1k version of your BTW J-J bass would be absolutely fantastic. Love the way it seems to downsize the J-bass shape a little bit yet is still J. So go for it please! It's what I've been waiting for, I'll deffo order one. Btw never forget blue and green, the great forgotten colours!
sorry Kevin, but this made me laugh 😂 but you're actually right. a matte-grey bass like these new VW and Audi's would be great. I love brown finishes, but it might be just us two. Yellow - yes please!
I'm new here and I sense a tiredness with the class D heads, having said that, did you ever review the class D offerings of Mesa? Thanks

my personal wish for 2023 - tube amp with output between 50 - 80W to cope with deaf drummers in club spaces. With nice pre-amp/gain settings to make bass sound more driven and saturated in given range. Oh, it should be affordable as well...
If you struggle with any RSI issues related to playing bass, the Dogal Hellborgs are a godsend. Cannot recommend them enough for getting through long sets/sessions. Plus, their tonal quality is superb. Once you make the switch, you’ll never go back. Flatwounds in the works as well…Great video, BTW!
One thing i have a problem with: I hate light coloured fretboards. And something like the Cort Elrick oder the Sandberg bass the world all have those... Black Bass without a dark fretboard looks weird to me :(
Just as I went to buy one "The product Harley Benton MV-4JB Gotoh BM is regretfully no longer available." Disaster - I have been thinking about getting one for weeks. I left it too late.
Omg, let’s please get away from the class D amps. How about more hardwired bass amps… I’m so tired of cheap circuit boards. Make something serviceable like the turret boards found in Hiwatt. And I think fender is long overdue for a good 100 watt all tube bass amp as well. Although, I have had my eye on the 100 watt ash down amp. 👍🏻✌️❤️
I would love to see darkglass do a pushed clean like an old SVT pedal with the multi band compression of the x series. Also I thought you guys always had DR high beams on the bass the world Sandberg's? I was surprised to see Dunlop super brights listed as the stock strings.
I’ve switched to Marcus Miller SuperBrights as soon as they came out. The Hi Beams are amazing. The SuperBrights sound very similar but do something magic with the highs that sounds stunning on these sandbergs
correction regarding 7:22 - there was something completely different in the boxes... not even Elricks. I should read my emails more carefully ;)
Is there any videos where you actually play? I'd love to see it
0:30 (10) Ibanez BTB805MS

I've hidden my creditcard before watching this video!
Vanderkley amps check them out.
It's not hidden if you know where it is
When show any bass pedal for very low sound for country music.Evry time you show metalic ton and slap..
😂😂😂😂
I feel like watching this channel makes me a better bass player!
Keep it up, this is so precious

He’s the reason I’m waiting for a six string
Love the NS Pulse, looks and sounds amazing
I would like to say, that year by year your channel is getting better and better. Marvelous gear, marvelous player. Thanks all.
Thanks 🙂
Interested to see a Top Ten list (if not done already) of best of all time gear.
Excellent video, Gregor. Thank you so much for including the Atlas Compressor. It means a whole lot coming from you. Long live, Bass the World!

Thanks for another year of great content
I knew that Two Notes pedal was going to be the honorable mention item. Good choice. I wish I needed one.
I don't remember if it came out in 2022 or not but the best pedal I personally bought was the empress bass comp. Incredible pedal!
It came out like 10-15 years ago
@@CraftCreepzzz There is a new one, released 2022
Yes. Thank you Hondo Felder. www.youtube.com/@HondoFelder

@@basstheworldofficial how you gonna do me like that bro?!😂
Your channel makes me happy. Awesome work. Highly entertaining and informative. Thank you for sharing.

Excellent recap of 2022 in Bass and wished for 2023.
Thanks for a great year Gregor! Keep doing great reviews! Love it.
Ohh my word, those Spectors😍😍😍
Happy New Year! Thanks for a year of great videos! Please keep it up!
Have you guys reviewed the Jad Freer Capo 2 channel bass preamp/drive yet?
I would love to see a smaller version of the Two Notes ReVolt Bass (maybe just 1 or maybe 2 channels) and 9v
Love the channel and your demo players are fantastic, I wish I was that good. :)

Obviously a good year for BTW....when Gregor is wearing a Bell & Ross watch....
hell yeah 😁
Yes-Cort/Fodera! They would not be able to make enough of them!
Thanks Gregor 🎸🎸🎶🎶
Love these vids!
Nice video! Please review the Glockenklang 15" bass cab that you mentioned in a previous video!!

What on EARTH is that bass line at 8:45 ?! I remember loving it when the original origineffects video dropped, but this reminded me all over again!
Phil Rehm always plays his own music and just dropped an album very recently. Check it out!
Greetings... where can i get the Dogal hellborg strings ? I cant find them for sale..
From their website or Strings By Mail. Highly recommend.
A great year for the Cort brand and the Cortek factory.
this is a great shopping list!

What about Boss Katana for Bass ? Does it sounds good ?
A sub-$1k version of your BTW J-J bass would be absolutely fantastic. Love the way it seems to downsize the J-bass shape a little bit yet is still J. So go for it please! It's what I've been waiting for, I'll deffo order one. Btw never forget blue and green, the great forgotten colours!
Grey, Brown and yellow don't see much love either.

WOW! This is a REALLY GOOD top ten.
😎👍👍
Ooooh I’d love an Electra Orange Bass the World bass in a 5 string!
Please make video about swr mobass😃
I hope Harley Benton would come up with a new 6 string bass of their progressive series with a 35 inch scale and a new look from the previous model.
Is there anywhere to petition a 4-string multi-scale BTB? Does anyone know why Ibanez don't make 4-string/affordable BTB's anymore?
I love the sound of my BTB bass, but the wide neck is hard on my fingers.
Aye! Lovely. Left handed Sandberg Basstheworld Bass please?
No problem. Sandberg offers all their basses left handed
Who is the bass player playing the cort. Guy is a bad ass on bass. Mixed all the funk n disco
Would love to see F Bass collaborate with Cort.
Ps: the link to Thoman doesent get you to the Hellborg strings.
Ohyeah gimme that 5 String BTW Bass :D
Merci,.
What about the CAVEMAN BP1compact ?
There are only 10 spots in a top 10 list. The caveman is brilliant, but we’ve seen the regular BP1 before, so it wasn’t that much „news“ to me
What are the 4 metalic dots on the Sandberg basses for?
That’s the sandberg logo
I would buy the electra basstheworld bass 100%
What was that orange bass!?
The Sandberg BassTheWorld Bass
I’m keeping my ampeg stack 😂 modellers are brilliant but the can’t make my soul shake like a crank amp
My Top 1 is René Flächsenhaar
Can anybody send the link to the basses collectors' group please?
Bass Upfront on Facebook. you'll find it
Love the video, hit my poor third world country heart! Salut mister!!
Orange has all my money.
your Thomann link to Dogal doesn't seem to be correct. In fact, they don't seem to carry them...
One thing i have a problem with: I hate light coloured fretboards. And something like the Cort Elrick oder the Sandberg bass the world all have those... Black Bass without a dark fretboard looks weird to me :(
It’s not about the colors, maple is chosen for its sound
Yes Ashdown 2.N should have been on the list…
No news from Cort Myster Thomas Ramdhan ?
Seems like a music man made for south asian market…
Not too many words sir.
Just as I went to buy one "The product Harley Benton MV-4JB Gotoh BM is regretfully no longer available." Disaster - I have been thinking about getting one for weeks. I left it too late.
they take basses off the site if they're sold out. I'm sure it will come back
👍👍👍👌

Of course a sales pitch
Sandberg should make some 6 string basses
they do, almost all models are available as 6ers
Guy in blue has GOT to lose some weight.
He won't be with us much longer, otherwise
How good was the sound on the sandbergh, missed that video!
I hate it when the guy demoing the bass plays lead guitar
