Our shop puts a new one in every one, weather it test good or not. Were gladly to spend 35-40 dollars so we dont have pull it out a second time, not to mention to have a pissed off customer .
Hi,really nice and educational video,my question is, do I need to rebuild the entire transmission if I have a problem with this input turbine speed sensor??any help will be really appreciated, thanks
I have a unit that was never approved and picked up. It's disassembled, I have to see if all the parts are there. If everything is there I'll make a training video with it.
@@AutomaticTransmission That would be great! I've been researching, and purchasing, everything new. Every Sonnax update kit, Transgo kit, Superior kit, Alto stage 5 master kit, Florida Torque converter heavy duty low stall, brand new converter housing, and pump. I have every, selective part, I even bought some brand new hard parts. I'm looking for a good case now. This build is for a built out over landing Explorer. 97' 5R55E, vin x with only one rear case sensor. No overdrive sensor, or sun shell sensor above the range selector sensor. Apparently hard case to find. I've been burned on to transmission's, so far. Oil slinger in planet was left out, and the second was the wrong converter. The out put shaft comes in 3 sizes, and convert has 2 different hub depths. The combination used was wrong. Sonnax has article on it. Had compensation for oil slinger tranny, and the second was blamed on my installation. So now I'm building it myself, I can't do any worse. I'm a mechanic, but not a transmission tech. I know that was long, and you probably don't care, but I need all the info. I can get. Thank you very much for your response, R. Garcia
I just repaired one out of a 2002 explorer sport track for no reverse I replaced the band and servo seals but still no reverse.... what could be fault?
Thanks for pointing out all 3 locations for the speed sensors on 5R555S

Exactly. Prevent future issues is the way to go.
As always good to here from you and good to here you explain Jimmy in Ala
Thanks Jimmy

great video sir, do you know what the correct resistance value is on the turbine speed sensor?
Not what I wanted to hear, but thanks for clarifying
Good video Do you know how to check if the sensor is in optimal condition?
How do you determine the type of 5R55E It is and if sensors are on the outside?
I wish we got the full 5R55E video. I need one for a build

@@AutomaticTransmission will you sell it, if you build it?
so to replace the solenoid harness how do you disconnect the wire that goes up to the turbine speed sensor
Thanks, Hiram 👍🏼
How can I check before taking it apart?
saludos jefe como pudo aprender a Reparar esas transmisiones automaticas!!
Buenas tardes que falla hace ese sensor iss. Gracias
Muy buen video saludos

What else did you install?
Direct drum works with reverse.
@@AutomaticTransmission Direct clutch and drum ok
