- Inspired by the new Marrs Guitars book, i did a quick run through of this classic tune.
I'm tuned up a whole step as per the original and I'm playing over Andy and Mikes studio parts. Guitar is my 1990's Rickenbacker 330 then into Amplitube 5 using Fender Twin & Super Reverb sims with a Boss CE1 in front.
Awesome! Also wanted to thank you because I learned this song because of you a couple years ago and it had a huge impact on my confidence as a guitarrist.

Thanks. I find Amplitube 5 is really useful for getting a decent sound quickly in my DAW

What’s been your hardest one?
Thanks. On the tunes that are taken at a fair old pace the tricky element for me at least is the transition from rapid strumming to picked arpeggios. Tracks like William or Nowhere Fast. But the main thing overall, particularly with the early Smiths catalogue, is his rhythmic feel. Is just very unique and hard to approximate.
@@HeadlessGuitarPlayer basically your saying there all hard :) I did start working on this one and like you say, rhythmically it’s unique and takes a while to get under your fingers and the head :)
