I have had this car for one year now (since Dec 2022) and I tell you, everytime I park it, and walk away, I always do a look back at it. It's beautiful (especially from the front) and soooooo much fun to drive. I drove with it for 10 hours from my home in Netherlands to Austria and 10 hours back through the German autobahn and didn't feel a tad bit tired when I got there. It is built well. I recommend 10/10.
How's the car keeping up my friend? I just ordered one last month and arrives in December! Full spec so all of the tech, pro, comfort pack and panoramic sunroof. Storm Bay! Can't wait!
I have one and love it. I do take the point on depreciation, but there are some extras which many would consider essential the absence of which might hinder purchase second hand.
Had mine for 6;weeks now this car is so cool . You know what it’s BMWs best kept little secret. Great video. PS you forgot to mention the wireless charging
Just watched your video. It’s a great one! I’m currently in my early 30s, with a X6 (8-cylinder) and used to drive a 3-series and a 4-series sedan. I recently tested this car and fund it underrated on quite a few other tubers’ comments sections. My demands in buying the next car while leaving the x6 for my wife to drive are simple: 1) it’s a good daily car for working; 2) the exterior is not boring; 3)the AWD-like FWD is perfect for the six-months of winter in my province; 4) it’s actually fast and fun to drive; 5) some kind of fuel economy; 6) the back seat is big enough for my six-year-old son if I have to pick him up from school occasionally. I’ve tested a few including the latest M440i and M340i, and decided that I probably will order the M235i for the combined reasons I listed. But I still need to consider the price because the only one M235i in my town is fully loaded and the price is a whooping $72,000 CAD with all the packages and options. It’s really hard to make it a deal. I don’t know… I may even think myself crazy and stupid if I spend $72k CAD on a 2-series…
Yeah for that money might as well get an Audi RS3! This is a cool car tho. I think it's a bit too expensive for what it is. M340i is a solid choice over this for a bit more. Or the Audi
You would think this Beemer would get a bad rep because it their smallest sedan but I can tell this thing would be fun to drive. And I've never seen that expression from you when you did the first acceleration, that made me laugh!😄😄
It's for sure fun to drive! I've always been a fan of the Audi S3, so this is right on that level! Great little car. A bit pricey tho, but overall pretty cool!
Definitely considering getting this car. It’s very stylish, and is the only car that doesn’t have that ugly grille and not overly expensive. Just gotta make sure it has heated seats, rain sensing wipers, and SiriusXM. One thing is what does that Auto H button do? Is that brake hold? Wishing it had Adapted cruise control. My CR-V 2021 has that and I have it on almost always so it’s basically auto pilot.
Yes the Auto H button is brake hold and it’s great. It is a latching type of button as well, so it will remain in the Auto H mode until you cancel it. Mine does not have adaptive cruise( wish it did) or the Hartman Kardon stereo( ditto), but otherwise it’s well equipped and a blast to drive
300+ HP in a 2600lb car is a sweet combo indeed, it can probably go down the quarter mile in the low 12s. Great car to drive in nice roads like the Tail of the Dragon! 😎
Just got mine and I m in love with it. I was previously going for an I4 but the exterior look is way to serious, more of an old people car. Also, the grill is ugly just like an Audi. I m so happy with my m235 so unique and fun...
Yeah very similar to the S3. Unfortunately I havent been in the new S3. But I would buy the S3 over this. I like Audi a lot for that car. This is still really cool tho
Good review, but who told you it weighs 2650 pounds? That’s almost a 1000 under it’s real weight. And zero to 60 is more like 4.7 seconds, not 4.2 it’s a great car to drive and on the highway with a steady foot you will see almost 38 MPG.
Yeah I wish this was more like that. The M2 seems be a completely different car. You'd think this was just a 4 door version. It would have been cool if they did it like the M3 and M4. Same car, just with more doors. They could have made this more sporty and cooler I think. This at least looks better then the basic 2 series gran coupe
@@BrosFOURRSpeed They’re selling it as a hatchback in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and Latin America (including Mexico) but not the US or Canada. It basically has the same engine as this M235i.

The normal 2 series gran coupe doesn't sell too well. The dealership even told me that people end up settling and buying one because they can't afford a 3 series or nicer. So it gives you that BMW name for a more affordable price, but is definitely a waste since it's way more than a normal car. The M235i tho is a nice performance car and is right on par with the Audi S3. So this probably has buyers that actually want to own it.

When available I will! They have only had one come in so far and it was pre sold. So hopefully soon!
No fog lights? Is the AWD front wheel biased? I would think the opposite would make more sense.
