Do you know if both players have to be using the same input (Controller, Keyboard etc) in order for couch co-op to work? I tested this on my pc by selecting my character using my keyboard and tried plugging in a controller for a second player. But both inputs would act as player 1 and I couldnt get them working simultaneously.

I believe it's the same process. Connect 2-4 controllers via bluetooth or a wired connection to your PC.
