There are plenty of comments requesting Vulf on the NPR videos, so I think this is more a nod to the fans requesting it rather than getting NPR's attention. Just my guess. It will be a good hold-over for now.
I love how their music feels like a journey to me. Bass walking down the road to meet his bros guitar and drums. While riding the groove keys and sax show up with love while the funk keeps getting better and better.
The drum fill around 2:34 is simple yet elegant and so satisfying. I come for Cory Wong’s guitar chord riffs, I stay for the ultra-funky bass licks, and I keep coming back for the keyboard’s smooth contributions. But the drummer is always so solid and knows just how to put the puzzle pieces together. I genuinely believe that no other drum style could bring this group to the height of groove that this drummer does. A+++
I woke up today and just had "that feeling"; Vulfpeck must have a new video.. A true fan will develop these Vulf-Senses over time! Let's get these guys on Tiny Desk Concert!
There's also something called a notification bell. You can find it to the right of the sunscribe button. It means that if you click it, it will tell you that there are new videos, whenever there are. Might come in handy! 😂 Jk, it's a nice comment of yours!
You guys DO need to be featured in NPR Tiny Desk! I dig how you kinda created the location background in this video as if to say "Hey NPR, we're ready!" Funky!!!
just did something unregretful: turned this extremely high volume and went by driving through the city with glass windows open. suddenly my head started to bob back and forth, and i realized why Joe Dart is happy. this is a recomendation y'all, do this as soon as you can
That kick so fat you really should take it aside and have a meaningful conversation about your concern for its health and how it only seems to be putting more space between itself and the high hats
lmao watch out guys this dude has so many functioning neurons that he can be an insufferable asshole in reality AND youtube comments. How does he find the time? Where will his functioning neurons take him next? Will he ever fill the void of emptiness that can only be filled by the loving meaningful touch of a woman? Come back next week to find out.
This is my favorite level of Toe Jam & Earl. The only way to get here is to start the cartridge in 1991 & make your way to this song 29 years later on UA-cam.
Starting the video while practising the guitar... -Realising that can´t stop after hearing the first notes -Desperately trying to find a good reason to listen to the whole song -Writing a comment
I've listened to the album so many times that at the end of this track my brain went, "Wait, why isn't Disco Ulysses starting?" Like, I can already hear the intro to Disco Ulysses playing in my head right after this track ended lol.
Funny. Was playing like this in actual clubs in a big city with a hot trio for years. No one could care less. Yet, this band is now a big thing on youtube? Why? What planet is this?
dude this album is fucking awesome!! everyone of these songs has that head just cant stay still quality that makes it hard to even get you mind out this massive groove filled with buttered pecan cookies.
Fuckin love these guys. By sheer luck I came upon Adrienne and Adrienne while at a bar, and the bartender had his music plugged in and I could see it was by a band called Vulfpeck. Now I can't stop listening to them. I think it's good that this type of underground music gets less attention because it's like it's just here for us and nobody else.
The comments section of any Vulf video is the funniest/most informed section of UA-cam. I watch the video on the first listen, then enjoy the comments on the second run through. Thank you everyone! X
Greatest Tiny Desk Concert that never happened.
OMG yes
😂😂
Tryna get my friend excited about not gettin invited on TDC. Thats an opportunity to have a funky time.
I know NPR likes to shove a lot of people onto these desks, but this is just ridiculous
Can a real one please happen though? For real?
I love how the category for this video is education
explicit content education.
Teaching the right way to have a tiny desk concert.
Sex education. And they gon' 'splain to ya.
I'm not in class, but I feel classy
It's because all other bassists got Schooled.
The reason it's not a real tiny desk concert is because Joe Dart's head needs space
Audrey R meeeeowww!!!

Lol right?
I know it's cool to hate on people who always manage to get a top comment, but in my opinion, you deserve your spot up here
Why thank you sir. People don't hate in the Pack, probably because hate's unimaginative and lacks funk.
@@birdjacobs Not what?
"hate's unimaginative and lacks funk." needs to be a t-shirt!!
Any chance of releasing Joe's pre-recording sesh neck stretches?
Hahahahahahahaha best comment ever 🤣😂
The recording sesh is his neck stretch.
Is this Vulf’s way of trying to get NPR’s attention? 🤔
I'm sure they will if they already haven't
There are plenty of comments requesting Vulf on the NPR videos, so I think this is more a nod to the fans requesting it rather than getting NPR's attention. Just my guess. It will be a good hold-over for now.

Tossing shade at NPR, in the funkiest way possible.

"London bridge is falling down" - Joey Dosik

We can only wish.
I could use a little more Compression!

One of the greatest bass players in his age bracket
best tiny desk concert yet! thanks for this npr music!
theres so much tension in Joe's attack you cold start a new Cold War
There are no words to explain how amazing you guys are. Always bringing the unexpected.
Awesome gig at the tiny desk
This is my favorite level of Toe Jam & Earl. The only way to get here is to start the cartridge in 1991 & make your way to this song 29 years later on UA-cam.
The fact that Joe has this mesmerizing full-body bob going on is a testament to that obscene bass
Joe's basslines make me want to quit bass and at the same time makes me want to practice more
Just makes me want to learn the line ! Wot a great groove, and it's not as hard as you think 👍
Practise more.
@@stephenbennett4265 True, it's not that hard to play. But to be that in the pocket and producing that tonal quality is quite hard.

Greatest CGI I've ever seen.
look it’s Alex Ball
an absolutely thick slathering of vulf compressor on that drum beat tho

That compression on the drums and bass is crazy
Cool tune. This reminds me of a mid-70s Crusaders cut, especially with the upright piano and sax. Like it!

Looks like Vulfmon finally freed them from his living room
The drums and percussion especially, but everything is mixed so well! Sounds great!
Is that the famed Cory Wong, receiver of the coveted Koz Nod? Oh my!
Best Tiny Desk Concert so far in my opinion 👍🏼
That has brightened my Monday significantly.

Funny. Was playing like this in actual clubs in a big city with a hot trio for years. No one could care less. Yet, this band is now a big thing on youtube? Why? What planet is this?
When a real vulfpeck tiny desk concert will happen, they MUST play this song.
I know, that bass run, and everything, but that SNARE!
the reason why vulfpeck's never been on a tiny desk concert is because there's no room for joe dart's head bopping
Who knew that the best could become better? I did. Because Vulfpeck does it every god damn time! Joe Dart is a beast!
That bassline would sit perfectly in a ToeJam and Earl game.
We should petition Adult Swim to get it into the new TJ&E game

the highest compliment a bass player can receive
dude this album is fucking awesome!! everyone of these songs has that head just cant stay still quality that makes it hard to even get you mind out this massive groove filled with buttered pecan cookies.
I feel like the inspiration for this bass riff came from the live improvised solo on beastly, joe plays ocasionally.
I dig that
Every time I hear Cory Wong play I hear Prince. Thanks for keeping him alive.
Why do I own high-end studio monitors?
Oh, right. For Vulfpeck videos..
Also to brag. Because the returns are diminished for each dollar you spend past a certain point.
@@TheArchiveOfWonder - $150 for a pair of KRK Rokit 8's doesn't seem too bad...
