What is skating like with the Snogo? It looks good on the steeps but a lot of my riding involves catwalks, snowmobile tracks and fairly long stretches of flats to get to/from the sidecountry. Skis have no problems and even on a board you can pole if you came prepared. I don't see any videos of people that aren't on a significant slope.
Ben Sanders cat tracks are not a problem at all. You can have one foot on the SNO-GO and the other pushing like you would a skateboard or a scooter. You can also walk along side or run and jump on very easily.
Why the having to be connected to the sno-go? I don't secure myself to my mountain bike? Is clipping in similar to what you can do on a mountain bike so you can unclip when necessary?
John Graham the leash is a requirement for most ski resorts. The purpose is in case you fall from the bike it does not take off down the mountain without you.
I like the sno go,yet it needs an electric, solar engine & charger & brakes... Maybe a few clicks to extend handle bars, seats, body on it. Yet it looks fun. Led lights USB charger inputs to.
Stopping? What do you do? There’s a big “STOPPING” title but no explanation. “It’s a lot like turning but you use your legs and spray your friends.“ That’s not going to help stop me.
Thanks for reaching out! To answer your question, stopping is as easy as leaning on the handlebars while pushing down on your outside foot. The motion is so intuitive most people figure it out within their first run. Just remember this simple tip: "lean - don't steer".

If you ride no-handed are you skiing?
I tried exactly this last weekend with mine and the front ski will prevent you from "skiing" no-handed.
