  • In this video 'LCR Impedance curves with Omicron Bode 100', I'll look at various capacitors and inductors and even my 'non-inductive' load resistors for audio testing. The Bode 100 will plot impedance curves so that we can see how ideal these components really are - or are not;) #omicron #Bode100 #Impedancecurves #LCRmeter

    Electric vehicles are being built all over the world. Impedance also changes due to changes in the number of rotations of the motor and the parasitic capacitance of the board, so you can check it with a portable size measuring instrument like this and a laptop computer. You can also measure the heat generated by the battery while driving. Thank you.

    Very enjoyable video! Would have been nice to see how very old used caps (removed from old 50'sFender amps etc.) perform. Or a 12 inch guitar amp speaker element.
    I knew that the green monster resistor is not so inductive because I have had those kind of big power resistors (very old ones) for years and have had the same prejudice, but when I have tried to measure if the inductance of them is significant, they have performed as nicely as your test showed. Many people judge them by the " very inductive" appearance which is a unfair. 😁

    I like how the resolution is so good it comes down to a miniscule band but it shows so much. Most scopes would never show that would they? I mean the average persons scope like my siglent.
    I hope I'm getting my point across, having trouble finding the correct words today lol

    • @KissAnalog
      @KissAnalog  Рік тому +1

      Yes Joey - the Bode 100 has 24 bit vertical resolution, so it is well beyond most scopes that wouldn't cost as much as a house;)

    I assume that big 1.5mH is a Sendust core, ..I like Sendust (good value for performance). The very cheap Yellow/White Iron powder cores, which are somewhat crap, shows better than I expected ..cool!, ...but of course core loss above 50-80KHz will still kill you!

    • @KissAnalog
      @KissAnalog  Рік тому +1

      Great feedback! You are right, the type of core does really make a difference.

    The Class D Aho Tester
    Dear Eddie
    I know you probably are very busy, but would consider this. Would you make a schematic for an amplifier dummy load, but with measureing point to hook up a scope?
    I can make the load, but not the voltage divider? thing. There are some on utube, but often there is no schematic. I have 4-8 ohm maybe 2-300 watt in my mind. There Should also be a 1 and 10 times switch, so a probe is not needed when direct connection. I would be happy to acredit you if I build it in a video. Actually it is only the scope connection, I cannot do my self, and I am dead certain, that you could do this in your sleep ,😅🤗
    Kind Regards
    Claus, Denmark
