Hope all is well -- it sucks gettig older and having to face health issues. You are a fine man and I truly respect the work you have done for the reloading coummunity. Hope you will be healthy for many years to come.
Just received word that HornadyLoader has passed away. Reloaders Workshop should be getting moved to be open source and requirement for licensing removed in the coming months. 3/25/2019 I really enjoy the program, and hope someone else will take up the torch. Happy reloading.
JinkxSoldga I have only watched a handful of his videos.....and really enjoyed and valued his knowledge. I have only been watching on and off for a couple of weeks and the second I saw that his last video was two years ago I knew something had happened. I gathered that his name was Kevin....he was very intelligent and found joy in his discipline and took the time to teach others. I consider it a low down dirty shame that the comment section in this video is not flooded with words of thanks and condolences! Thank you Kevin for all of your help.... May you Rest In Peace❤️
One thing I noticed is that when I tried to input my scope which is a Burris 4-20 x 50mm which has a 34mm tube but all you have is 30mm and 1 inch. I believe there are larger tubes than 34mm also. And with reloaders shooting long distance a 30mm tube on a scope is not going to give the MOA adjustment needed for extreme shooting. Thank you for your time
Thank you for all your videos. I am a brand new reloader and hope that you are doing better. I see from a post you were facing some very challenging medical issues. All the best to you.
@@reuelvicta2697 Thank you. Very unfortunate as clearly a person that knew what he was talking about and will to share it for the purpose of helping others. I don't understand the reference to S/W as I thought this was reloading with an emphasis on Hornady reloading.
@@benkanobe7500 , Kevin created a windows application called Reloader's WorkShop which is used to manage reloading component inventory, firearms inventory, load data, etc. After his passing, Cody Beebe put the source code on GitHub and left it open source and free, as he did not have time to dedicate to it. I have since taken that "base" code and fixed some of the bugs and added some of the features that Kevin mentioned in the very last release notes.
found another problem with the program it wants to turn your photo side ways. when you turn it upright it will not elongate the picture and when you go to calibrate the measuring part. it jumps away from the arrow and then, when you mark where the bulls eye is it to is not aligned.
i just bought this program today and i shoot 6.5mm creedmoor.... there is no Lapua brass listed for the creedmoor but yet i have bought some.... so i assume that the data base is not updated?? please advise
Is this Reloader's Workshop still available? I downloaded it from its web site which says free but it does not install. The downloaded file actually does nothing.
I have taken over development of the software. And you are correct. I'm still putting the new website together and the download page isn't done yet. I have a small group of users currently using the latest update to help me get the bugs out that I apparently introduced.
Hello Hornady Loader. I have a problem maybe you or your subscribers can help me with. It mostly happens to my .223 and some 5.56 when I use the Hornady Varmints and V Max both with Cannelure. I load them with my COL gauge measurements. But when I try to chamber them the Bolt will not totally close and I of course get a miss fire. I have only been loading for a year and I have taken apart and reloaded enough rounds I don't even like talking about it. But I do take my time the range unfortunately is not right around the corner so I do tend to load more then I should. But I find it more like therapy also I enjoy the hell out of it. I don't get mad a little frustrated because everything measures perfect. Also I can take the rounds that don't fire in my MP. And shoot them through my wife's Ruger. Any help would be greatly appreciated I do have the AP Press and like you I am Hornady all the way. Thanks Larry
Larry, check out "Gavintoobe" he shows how to make the proper measurements from the lands and measuring the ogive properly. I own a MP .223 AR15. the problem I had was when I first started loading the OAL was too big for my mags. then I had trouble cycling because I was using to light a load. So all 300+ rounds will have to be shot through my Thompson Contender .223 then reload again. It is a learning curve. Just have to do it safely.
Question from one reloader to another? Why do yo think we are getting screwed so much for brass. Even once fired brass.. like 22/250 add .18 cents to the price and you can buy loaded ammo. It is crazy!

Thanks, Kevin for all the lessons and knowledge that you shared with us. My condolences to his family and may he rest in peace.

Reuel Victa Is the software still available?
Do the Hornady handgun seating dies come with a stem for truncated cone flat point bullets?

Hey Kevin, hope you are doing better......are you still working on the SAAMI link? Anything you need help doing?
Hi, I've found that the SAAMI website itself seems to be broken. Until they fix their site, there's not a lot I can do. - HL
HornadyLoader ok, thanks again!
Medium Speed Some Drag I believe he’s passed away, there a message in his site here:

Michael Andersen how do you like your 223 compass. I have been thinking about getting one. How is the accuracy?
