I love how Chinese players are always called "robotic" yet Ma Long seems to have figured it out at the second time of asking!
Kudos for coming up with a signature shot in such a widespread and heavily developed sport!
i agree.. Ma long is the least robotic chinese for sure. Understands the game in an insanely natural way
Tbf a lot of the players in those clips managed to do a decent return the first time
@@mortuc1 yes. But they didnt attack on it. They all give me a opportunity to attack myself and take over the point 😁 when they try to attack they dont really know how to. If that makes sense
Allways interesting to hear what pro players think about others pro. About Ma long ,I guess they call him "robotic" cause he seems to play like a machine.
Lind I really like your style and I'll be looking for your next games🏓
Ma Long's experience so far is more than anyone else, he faced a lot of unique players so he adapts the situation well enough to trouble the opponent back
it's means a lot to play against the best in history and coming from injury and doing good points, respect Anders!!
🥰🥰
Very cool technique Anders, I am reminded of Koki Niwa's chop block. Definitely a very useful tool that majority of players will lack experience against, doubly so since you are a lefty.
Exactly 😁
@@AnderslindTT I'm left handed as well
Insane skills! You can feel the struggle of the opponents to read the spin (backspin or topspin) and all these on high speed. Beautiful!
Thanks 😁
It’s crazy how we used to do this when we were learning how to play but coaches always told us to stop because it’s not technically correct. Now seeing pro players using it makes me wonder what other things we could have done if they allowed us to be more creative
Yeah. A lot of coaches think too much that young players must play like the asians to be great. But if u look at almost every single top european they found their own different style to find succes 😁
@@AnderslindTT i think the germans and Darko Jorgic both have a very 'asian' way of playing the game. They're not well known for creative snakes or strawberrys like for example morgard, you and simon gauzy.
For the germans its mostly heavy topspin to open the really and then its top to top. Dima does that style more the bh (same as jorgic) and boll aswell as franziska more with the fh. Also younger players like kay stumper have a more or less chinese technic. So id say europea is quite divided on that standpoint. But for sure its not the 'europeans' that are all creative.
In worlds top 15 its like morgard and calderano that have a more or less unusual technic. Then followed up by gauzy and you. Ah, i forgot Matthias Falck that kind of plays differently. But thats mainly due to the short pips.
@@AnderslindTT can’t compete on the same path with the Chinese since they train fulltime since 7-9 years old while on Europe they are treated closer to serious club activities at that age
The only one who actually figured it was Ma Long. The shots were still so strong Anders was caught off-guard when Ma Long actually returned them.
They usually dont come back like that🤣😁
To be fair, Ma Long has basically solved the entire game. There's a reason he's the undisputed GOAT.
good to see innovation and daring to be different
Love when a player makes their own style. Very deceptive, good stuff.
This guy seems very good
He’s decent you know
Decent, decent
@@magnushartvigsen515048. in the world is decent?
@@CRe-pn8yq37😁
I hadn't heard about him til recently, apparently because of injury. Wish him the best of luck building.
Excellent, I laughed a lot when looking at your shots!
Respect my man for making the comeback. Truly inspiring
Thanks mate :)
Insane feeling, very talented! Best of luck in future tournaments 🙌🏻🙌🏻
You are The King of side topspin! Amazing!
This guy seems very good!
I loved Gauzy and Groth’s reaction to your strawberry shot vs Felix Lebrun😂
hahaha yeah... good i could atleast give my teammates a smile even tho i lost that match :D
@@AnderslindTT if victory is judged by satisfaction, you are a winner in my heart
Omg i got love by Anders Lind, are you real Anders Lind? 😯😯😲😲
0:39 is one of the best rallies I have ever seen!
Incredible, and nice to see. All the best and keep going!
From all technics I've seen this would be my favorite because he can decide in milliseconds how to spin the ball..really really good one
Beautiful signature shot . Hope you improve so fast
thanks :D
this is best the strawberry I ever saw because you move your whole arm, not just your wrist. It creates much more spin and looks so cool
That's a pretty sick shot.
Thanks 😎
I would say it is not just tje slice, it is the the whole left handed bsckhand...always something special..i remember Jorg Rosskop but this is another level...dope stuff!
Thanks man 😁
I met Anders and chatted with him briefly at the 2021 World Championships in Houston USA. Super nice guy, and really cool playing style :)
Thanks for saying that 😊
You are one of the best players in the world, top 40 ittf ranking!
Thanks bro😁
O Ishy véi já sofreu muito na mão desse slice viu 😭😭😂
Infelizmente! ❤🇧🇷
what a good shot mate!! greetings from korea and hope you gonna going up higher in main event frequently 😊
🇰🇷🤝🇩🇰
You'll notice Lind is left-handed. That makes this sliced shot all the more effective.
This guy seems very good
Video matches the title. 😮Was not disappointed! Amazing!!
😁😁🥰
Plz upload more videos! I love to see
Glad to see you recovered well Mr.Lind, supporter and greetings from Turkey ❤
Great Anders! 💪🏻
😁😁💪
dude, you are such a inspiration to me that i learned how to do it myself, not yet like yours but still fine😁
Niceee 🥰 keep working on it ! Im sure it will become amazing also
Interesting! Need to add that to my repertoire. After that: chop block. 😁
Its a pleasure to see that beautiful shot like xuxing, simon gauzy, hugo calderano can do. That can help to mediatise table tennis!
Now a tutorial please😉
It will come at some point 😁😁
This guy seems very good.
There is nothing more cool than innovation! 🏓
I like your playing style, thank you for the inspiration!
Thanks a lot :)
Always nice to see some players with unusual styles. Makes the game so much more interesting.
Well that is something unique and lovely to watch.
wish you all the best ... future champ :)
เป็นลูกที่รับยากมาก และ. สวนกลับก็ไม่ได้ด้วย
🎉🎉
สุดยอด
Really spectacular plays mate! Hoping the best for your future career.
Crazy how Ma Long turned your shot against you, almost like: how do you like some of that yourself?!
I noticed you and your game back at the 2022 Team Championship. Immediately I realized the following: it's stupid to deny your talent and the fact of your amazing, unusual game. I have a couple of questions: 1. What was your mood at the beginning of the 2023 championship? 2. Do you have an idol in table tennis and if so, who is it?
Thanks so much mate🥰. My mood was good at the beginning because i felt i was in good physical shape which i very rarely feel i am in. And i dont really have an idol in tabletennis. But one player i like very much is Kamal achanta😁
WOWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!! thanks dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!! amazing shots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
😊🥰
You have a very good hands & feel! I wish you recover soon & be in the Top 10 Anders ! 🏓⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🍻
Ma Long be like
I used to handle all these spin and trik shots at childhood 😂
Great improvisation Anders!
No way I've actually been slicing like this most of the time because I never learned the proper slice technique-no way my goofy ahh slice works against the world's best💀
And seeing you play primarily with fast smashes with the occasional strawberry is honestly so cool since that's how I play as well. I always thought you either go all defensive or all offensive and that my hybrid style was just goofy but you really put it to the test against the top players which is awesome.
What anders lind im your biggest fan
Dare to be diffirent... I love it...!
Thanks 😁
Bro we want regular videos from now on
I will make 2-4 a month. Depending on my schedule with tournaments😁
@@AnderslindTT Sure
Will wait for them.
And please make tutorials too.
I am currently training in table tennis but I am not able to play Drive and Topspin with correct body movements.
That was insane Anders !!! 👍👍👍🤩🤩🤣🤣🤣
Thankyouu😁
Strawberry is right! That is one NASTY slice!!!
Lind performs the strawberry flick as Simon Gauzy, just much more better! This style creates enormous spin, but you really have to take care about incoming spin when doing this 🏓.
I think this shot can be return easily for Wang Li Qin, Ma Lin
Wow. I really enjoy the clip. I never met players returning like this. I will try the slice trick in near future.
Thanks mate. And yes you should try it 😁
Table tennis needs these new skills to be exciting and to throw off dominant using just structural skills.
I also like to see players that can mix defense with offense 50/50 to keep surprising their opponents.
I am gonna learn that slice backhand, it is awesome!
Guess I just learned a new skill I gotta try out. big up dude.
Great video and I was just about to say that whilst I understand that it's your video and your shot, from a fan's perspective it would have been interesting to see a few instances where the shot didn't win you the point, maybe a bloopers reel at the end. But you did include how Ma Long managed to neutralise the shot, so fair play to you.
Thanks a lot. And yeah maybe i should of 😁
OP
I believe anders Lind eat at least 10 strawberries a day
Kindly share more videos and learning tips
His strawberry chop is so effective because of his left handedness against most right handed players
Holy moly I hadn't seen close to all of your strawberries, this is mad awesome! Awesome to see you do so well as well, keep it up man :)
Thanks bro😁🥰
It's incredible...I got goosebumps when I saw it🫨
Those are some insane strawberries, specially the second ones in a rally.
Thanks bro 🥰
0:45 bro insane rally
Yeees i like it also a lot. thanks a lot mate :)
Great feeling !!!
😁🥰
pretty funny at the end. Ma Long just dont give a f...^^
Not really. You see how Ma Long is confused, the ball was rather high for a proper BH topspin, but instead he did some awkward block.
He handled it well from the start in the sense that he knew he should not risk playing an attacking shot on it.. so he just waited on it and controlled the spin. but he actually tried to step around to kill it 2times and missed both :D
@@abgvedr He wasnt confused. second ball hit the net and ma long had to adjust his racket in like 0.5 sec. he was insanly calm after both shots from lind. and this is a huge diff if you compare his "return" to some other pro player ^^
@@AnderslindTT lets be honest. ma long has / had (not sure anymore) a good "training partner" with xu xin, who is/ was also known for some random trickshots and crazy shots overall :D
@@Lawandfun thats why he is the goat 😍
This is insane!!!
Little Adam Bobrow!
Even in Appearance lol
Amazing shot. I'm gonna perfect this!
What kind of rubber do you use on your back hand? and how much does it help with that shot?
Wtf! You unlocked the cheat code bro
As you do this as a left handed player, I can exactly see, how much uncomfortable this can be to a right handed player, when shots played into the forehand third of the receiver's side. When very much spin is applied, I already found out, that balls having mostly vertical axis of rotation can be very difficult to manipulate with "classic" topspin or backspin shots thanks to the phenomenon of angular momentum (I also make similar shots, but not to this extent of quality) - even more difficult, when the inclination of the axis from vertical is at a direction close to or within the plain of the racket face of the receiver player.
Just Ma Long babe Just Ma Long
Damn I thought you were a chopper! Had to search up your playing style.
Hahahaha. you are not the first and for sure not the last to think this! :D
Interesting and inspiring (from a self taught left hand player).
subscribed! Looking forward to the followup where you teach this shot!
Only Ma Long 🐐gave a decent answer
It's great for surprise value and against players who can't figure it out. However, the extreme arm motion required means that it's not reliable in the long run, although used occasionally it still has value..
Good Good I like the skills and highlight keep going!!💥
i will! :)
everyone else failed, and then Ma Long: "Cut it out, kid"
I doubt he would say it like that. But sure😁
I'm new subscriber here. Big Fan
You seem to get a fair bit of net cords with them but that only make it harder
It's like suddenly facing a serve mid-point 🤣🤣🤣
Not with Ma Long ... 😂
this guys seems very good
good job
Amazing "top slice"!
Tutorial?
it's not just your slice...you are obviously a good player.
Do you see this shot as a solution to a pendulum serve (in right handed vs right/left vs left match) comming to the middle, exactly between backhand and forehand? I find myself struggling with those serves, because it can be quite awkward to use banana flip there.
Yeah its mainly on that serve i do it😁
You're crazy good.
Awesome technique!
What's the backhand rubber?
This is called a virgule and was introduced by Simon gauzy, today this gesture is taught in more and more clubs and becomes common
Wow.. This is a unique technique, i still can't figure how you manage to flex your wrist in such motion continously.
It looks like you are really hitting two shots, the wicked sidespin slice, followed by a a similar LOOKING shot, but you don't come UNDER THE ball as much as giving it a three quarter topspin, which makes it jump off the table when the opponent reads it as a slice.
So, if i understand correctly, you can spin the ball, making it difficult for the other side to control where it goes? Can that spin be achieved every hit? In G-d I trust.
