I just won one of these at auction yesterday! I have discovered currency collecting as a beautiful thing. Featuring beautiful art and history. Thanks for inspiring me to get into it!
That is a beautiful Black Eagle. Those 1899 facts are pretty cool. Definitely will be upgrading my Black Eagle at some point. Just of note, that signature combination was towards the end of the run between 1919 and 1921, as one of the most fascinating things I noticed about that note is the Series date on the right was in 3 different spots on the right depending on year issued.
Beautiful specimen of a classic note and one of my favorite series. Nice history bud, thanks for sharing! 36 bucks won’t even be able to buy a carton of eggs soon for that. 😢
What's the size of that certificate? I have one but not sure if it's real or not. My grandfather left em to me before passing and I'm curious of its value of any and it's origins. Thank you for your time and help.
Large size currency measured: 7‑3/8 x 3‑1/8 inches. Also look at the signatures on the front. Speelman and White are the two most common. Also look close at the serial number. Fancy serial numbers are worth more. I hope this helps.
Beautiful silver certificate! You really can’t beat the art work on old silver certificates. Thank you for sharing:)
