Just keep the ZD, patrols have rubbish gearing from factory, it’ll still be rubbish with a VDJ. Get reduction gears or auto swap it and it will be completely different off-road. You’ve built a tourer and surprised that it doesn’t drive one of the hardest tracks in Coffs that well… you’ve got nice tourers just make this one an off-road weapon

As for Mattys ZD you just need reduction gears and 35s power isn’t everything when technical wheeling
If a 1990 2.8ltr na Hilux can whee those tracks with reduction gears and 33’s the ZD is miles ahead of that in power with the twin turbo.
All the power in world means shit if it can’t be put down in the rev range you need it. Reductions, auto & fix the suspension. Drives like shit - picks up a wheel every bump like a 79
Take the ZD out and put a mercedes omo6 in there, or put a supercharged tb 48 in

How in all that is holy, did Matty claim the win for flopping? That was a flop, not a roll. Here in the States it is only considered a roll if you end up on your lid. Bri drove her ass for the win. Sammy was a close second. Matty, well........Matty was driving, so enough said. 🤣😂😆

Big torque (Cummins 6BT?) Reduction gears in transfer case, & regear the diffs (with twin lockers)to compensate the larger diameter tyres. 3" lift 35" tyres & THE BLOODY MAXTRAXX!!!!REMEMBER

Zd needs reduction gears and 4.6 diff ratios. A re403a would go good in it also.
