- Kill Team is set to receive an expansion in the form of Kill Team: Brutal and Cunning. The Brutal bit is easy, it's the Ork Wrecka Crew, a Tankbustas style squad with heavy armour and no sense of self preservation. The other team... Ratlings. Ratlings! Actual Ratlings!

Apologies for the low energy on this one gang, I've been fighting off a migraine so I'm not feeling great. We'll do the Christmas Battleforces tomorrow and then the new Underworlds stuff on Wednesday.
It's alright, the KT models were the most talked about miniatures since this last Preview.

I think Kill Team being "the place that old models go to be resurrected" has been a thing since at least the dawn of the last edition of Kill Team when Octarius came out with new plastic Kommandos and Death Korp. minis.
Yeah, I wish they would remake firstborn squad in truescale with Killteam, they did so with Chaos Legionaries and Night Lords.
Or the Eldar Corsairs!

You become a Krusha after a Demolisher. Once the demolisher swings and connects with his rokkit on a stick, it blows off his hands and blasts his face. That explains why the Krusha has a full visor (he knows better now, lol). Love these models. All of them.
According to the article the ratlings kill team can also be played with Ogryns and Bullgryns
So that will be fun
Between bomb disposal hobbit, the tripwires and the Battle-Mutt, I was basically sold. This whole team is very much imaged on Spec Forces Operators as they are visualised in typical movie fiction, and I'm all over it.
The Big Shot Ratling rifle is a mini Lascannon, I like that pose of him being behind the rubble.
The Battlemutt is already my favourite miniature from the KT kit.
The new orks are cool, but i was particularly surprised with the ratlings. The plastic ratlings that i have must be nearly 30 years old.
Love that the Bomber has an EOD suit but still bare feet. Safety but only to a point.
Goes to show how tough ratling feet are.
There's just something about the rocket stick boy wearing all that armour in event of his rocket stick exploding but still opting for fingerless gloves...
As a collector of both orks and imperial guard, I was practically vibrating with excitement about this announcement, plus the holiday miniature.
The sniper is Captain Price! Also, the las guns have muzzle devices for gas dispersal which made me giggle. Two glorious sets of sculpts.

I saw the Bomber, the missing eye, the dark skin, and instantly went;
"What makes me, a good demoman? IF I WERE A BAD DEMOMAN, I WOULDNT BE SITTING HERE DISCUSSIN IT WITH YOU NOW WOULD I?"
Breaker is a dedicated lad, no visor so he can see with perfect clarity the tank he has tohit with the hammer. Be an absolute krumpin from the boss if he missed.
these orks are absolutely my favourite reveal from the stream. ive been wanting to get back into orks in 40k for a while now (tried to collect them 3 times in the past before, and ended up losing them, having them stolen, or having to sell them each time sadly) and this set might be what kicks it off
Ratlings. Reminding everyone that 40K was (and to an extent still is) a fantasy universe in space

My guard army is meant to be an abhuman auxiliary so I am chuffed with this.
Hells yeahs. I like how each of the box sets are little self contained stories that paint a bigger picture when put them together.
It's just a bit pricey though.

That tankbusta unit, is utterly and completely amazing! Heavy infantry/sapper unit, with both firepower and close combat power!
I really hope that we can make a unit full shooting or full close combat, but even if that isn't the case, the quality of the models, means I need at least two maybe even three units of them!
I believe there were 3 of the "Tankbusta rokiteer"s at the same time in one of the shots and there was one "Breaka boy fighter" with a different pose in the back of one of the shots. It seems to be that they will be 2 datasheets in 40k ("Breaka boyz" and "Tankbusta boyz") and the 5 models (excluding the boss nob) will all have ranged or melee option.

@@aligaterr5137 I was wondering about that, given that the names of each model on the community site had more than just their kill team specialization name in there. Having an entire unit with rocket hammers would be killer (possibly to themselves)
@@daltonhall5888 I don't think there is more than one rokkit hammer (sadly) but there are multiple "demolition hammer" poses. From what I could gather, the options are:
1 rokkit hammer
1 double wrecking fist thingy
1 heavy rokkit launcha
3+ rokkit launchas
1 rokkits on an orks back (combined with a rokkit launcha, possibly a alternative loadout to a heavy rokkit launcha for a gunner operative)
3+ demolition hammers
1 boss nob loadout (rokkit pistol and small demolition hammer, possible that a big demolition hammer is an alternative loadout)
For me,this is the best killteam box ever. Fielding a killteam of ogryns and ratlings is in my near future and I’m so happy about it.
I’m not really an ork fan but those models look great, I love that they are wearing matching outfits

When you look at the Krusha Boy, it looks like he may have had his hands removed judging by the length and width of his piledriver weapons!
I am hopeful that there will eb more than just ratlings as the Scarper card they showed also mentions bullgryn and ogryn as RATLING operatives.
Like the fact that the tankbusta gunner's weapon rig looks like a lighter-weight loota shoulder weapon sans the roll bar cage contraption they usually have.
I am however disappointed to not see a tank-sized can-opener on any of these lads like on the original tankbustas.
Well they said the kit has more options then usual, so maybe it's in amongst the bits
What I want out of Kill Team is a full kill team of Fallen, in the style of the current Cypher mini they released back in 2016. Give them a bunch of archaeotech and dark age weapons, and let the new Inner Circle Companions and Deathwing Knights have something to hunt.

Little weird putting Orks and Ratlings in a box together, but I do like them both, and I wan both Killteams. They would probably serve in their regular 40K armeies though, the Orks in my Waaagh! and the Ratlings will serve in the 1st Abhuman Regiment in my Imperial Guad (Astra Militarum) army.
My initial reaction to these two teams was pretty luke warm. Getting a closer look at the figures, the look like they'd be a lot of fun to paint up, though. I've also heard that the Ratling team can also include Ogryns and Bullgryns, which could be fun. I may be picking up this release after all. 😅

I like both of these kill teams a lot! However; the Orks with the way their armor is, minus the Boss, really remind me a lot of Blood Bowl models. Still really cool though. A full team of Ratlings greatly surprised me but heck yea! More Abhuman support is awesome. Although I do find the contrast between one side being big beefy orks and the other basically halflings is amazing. Also, hope you feel better! Migraines suck.
So happy to see more orks and very happy to see rattlings I will probably get into guard because of the little guys.
I have no use for the Ratlings Kill Team, but I want them too.

These are pretty great. Especially the ratlings. 2nd best of the reveals for me.
Now that I think about it, it is a very Orky thing to bring anti tank weapons into Kill Team, simply because they have more Dakka.

They got so tire of sculpting space marines that when they got the chance to make something funky, they get funky
Since Kill team now has solo/co-op, teams that I didn't really have an interest in playing now serve a great purpose as possible NPO units (especially the 2 teams here...)

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I am withholding any and all hype for the new Tankbustas, as cool as the models are, until I see the full kit and 40k rules. I'll probably still get the box because I have a friend who wants the Ratling half, but I'm still not that excited about the new Boyz.
You could swap the heads of the Krusha with the Demolisha to give em da Ork protek zon?
My only issue with the Orks, the same issue I have with a few of the newer Ork releases, is that their armour looks just a tad too uniform for my tastes.
While I like the units, I would like to play my main army (nids) in kill team, there’s so many versions of guard and yet not a single nid, GSC doesn’t count. Not proper nids

Breaka Boy Fighter is my favourite of this lot, whatever's going on with his helmet is just peak.

I can't believe GW would just retcon Ratlings as "they've always been here", smh my head what about the sanctity of the lore. And these hobbits with a roast chicken and pies are so unserious, totally unbefitting of the grim and dark future where there is only war.
