Very Nicely explained!! The differences are clear but please can you also suggest how to decide if we are going to create CDS View or should we go for CDS View entity?In what scenario the decision to go for CDS View or CDS View entity is applicable.
@8:18 - You have mentioned that buffering annotation has been removed in define view entity. Can you please share how this is handled in the newer define view entity approach. Thank you, Bhai.

Cds view create one view on HANA DB .That we can use in calculation view . but its not recommended since cds is abap artifact and calculation view dB artifact. If you use cds in calculation view and somebody in abap changes then it can impact ur calculation view.... l never did real time but you can try and check ideally it is possible
Hi.. First of all big thanks for these happy learning.. im creating cds view entity its showing me error like this.. i dont understand why this is coming. Dependencies DDL source ZDDLS_SAMPLE_03- vies/entity not written(syntax error in ddl)
Basically, when we have multiple time same filter conditions on different fields of the selection field in CDs It will consider only once instead of considering various times:- what is the filter condition I have explained in below video:- ua-cam.com/video/MJltugFt6OE/v-deo.html

Always prefer CDS entity if it is available since it is advance version of DDIC based CDS . DDIC based CDS already obsolete ...
@@SAPTECHNOMANIAC many thanks...I was actually unaware of the fact that DDIC based CDS is obsolete.

if you want to buffer then follow below steps :- community.sap.com/t5/application-development-blog-posts/buffering-cds-view-entities/ba-p/13520422

Hello Ram, thanks for great explanation, I understood difference between 2 but if we choose DDIC based cds entity then will it cause any issue?
No, But it got absolute. SAP supporting just for backwards compatibility
@SAPTECHNOMANIAC thankyou for your response!
Selected template uses features which are not yet supported by the backend system .
when i click define view entity. Please give solution.
Which version of ABAP you are working on ?
Can we USE CDS view entity inside a HANA calc view?
