Hello Ram... I am a big fan of your channel... I am watching your videos, although I work in SAP and have access to a lot of training materials... Your content is very much interesting and easier to understand... Just wanted to add an information for this video content, viewers may get this information... What is the purpose of views? As you said we no need to write the same query again and again in multiple programs... This is from the developer point of view... But there is a performance element behind that... There are multiple SQL operations like OPEN, PREPARE, FETCH, CLOSE and so on(You could see in SQL trace results). PREPARE is the one, which will convert the open SQL to native SQL. When you write Open SQL statement in your program, this conversion will happen whenever you execute the same program... Whereas when you do the same with the help of views, only when it is executed for the first time PREPARE step will happen, where open sql to native sql conversion happens... Then this converted native sql will be stored and from the second time onwards same native sql statement will be reused. So views help in reduction of PREPARE SQL step in identical SQL statement executions using views...

Hi Ram sir, Happy New Year One doubt I have. I want to create CDS entity and make it as root entity which has header data in it, (Name: ZI_Target) then I want to create custom entity ( ZCE_Cutline) which will have Item data, this Item data will have complex logic which is already there in one function module. I implemented Query class for my CE. Now I make this custom entity as Assosciation to my parent entity which is ZI_Target. Parent entity: ZI_Target Child Entity: ZCE_ Cutline But when I am running my service in iwfnd/gw_client then i am only getting data for header cds entity and not for custom entity. When running the service from gw_client my query class is also triggered but still no data i am getting for Association to_Cutline I am i missing anything here? Can you please help me in this?

Hello Ram, your videos are excellent and help us a lot to learn. I've scenario where our backend system is ECC and FIORI is available through central hub with other system FE(S/4 hana). Service GBAPP_POAPPROVAL is not available in SEGW. Someone saying that service is not medeled using SEGW but it is implemented in ABAP(ERP) only. What is it and how to test it. In above manage BO, We are creating RAP object in which we are fetching all the records which are available in Travel table and exposes it to the user. But if in cases I want only those records should be displayed which user has requested. In short, how to create Parameterized CDS entity for RAP application. I tried to create Parameterized CDS entity and tried to create consumption view on top of that. But system not allowing me to create Parameterized consumption view.
