However what it does provide is the ability to make the connection looks like it come from another country, permetting to by pass any restrictions a country might have placed on its citizens' internet (example: buying a violent game in Australia, by passing China's blocade, etc...) . It is however illegal, so you can't really advertise this behaviour loudly, that's why they opted for this marketing strategy of making peoples think it's for security
