comedy update, this is the only game where skills won't consume mana/energy. Skills should consume mana, energy or anything, to balance the game. If they remove it in physical heroes, they should remove it on magical heroes as well.

@@frost083 it's actually really big for hylos. Dominance Ice provides 500 mana in which his passive converts it by 1.5 times per 1 mana. This means that he gets 750 hp by getting Dominance Ice. Now that it's remove, it's a major indirect nerf for him

if what i remember on layla's workshop, they said the reason is mana is related to magic and they are thinking for an alternative for physical heroes, which 80% of the players are suggesting "energy for physical heroes"
If their gonna do this, then make it fairer for magic heroes, maybe make it so that magic heroes's basic attack is scaled by the caster's magic power, ofc also dealing magic dmg, this should really differentiate Physical and Magic heroes.

The only hero that got wrecked by this is Bane.

Magic basic attacks would be great, and more magic marksmen items would be awesome. Change might be a bit Op tho

I do get why they're removing mana for physical heroes as it doesn't make sense when they're not using magic to deal damage anyways
But there're some inconsistencies, most especially heroes like Guin who purely deal magic damage but doesn't have mana, and her rage bar is basically just a meter for her passive. If that's the case, then might as well remove the mana from similar heroes that deal magic damage but are not mages like Karina.
This will break the game.

In other games, if physical hero has spammable abilities without mana cost, the drawback will be the range of skill and cooldowns. Mages mostly do a lot of damage great range for poking power but their hindrance will be a valuable resource of mana.
This game mechanic design must adjust accordingly as per hero skill kit.

They should've done this on tanks instead. With the new TB not giving mana regen anymore, franco and khufra, etc are having a hard time. Fighters and assassins still have EB or blue buff.

As a user of Alpha, I don't think it would make any difference. I will still buy Endless Battle with or without mana. Alpha is a skill-type fighter, but I never got a problem with losing mana in the early up to the late game.
Roger on the other hand is going to be happy with this though.

As Tank meta jungler, currently assassin jungler. I think it's a good update. But if it stays as no limitation spamming skill, it would be hellfire. So, for my personal opinion, physical fighters could use some kind of "energy" as ling, fanny, nolan, etc. But i also think they could add "energy regen" like 120 gold mana regen and add it to "endless battle" or some physical item. We all know assasins without purple buff is headache. So i think having some item regening your energy would be nice edition to MLBB

FYI, a lot of Mages Main who have skill issues are screaming about this update is very unfair for Mages on Discord. One of them wanna nerf All Assassins' Damage by 30% and Buff All Utility Mages because he has skill issue. (Just wondering Harley, Kadita and Selena in his eyes need buff or nerf) I'm not sure how they're going to balance it. Should they add Mana Stats to more items?
As a muti-role player, this is just too unfair anyway. They should at least add energy bar to physical damage dealers then. Might as well remove the regen and recall effects as Ruby, Alpha, Terizla and many other heroes can regain their hp by clearing waves or jungle creeps so no point of going back to base.

Remove manaboots and Make mages have mana regen or higher scalling of mana
This is both good for exp and gold lane. No more tp to go back for mana. No more reason not to push the lane specially if your winning your lane.
Speaking of pushing, Moonton should add "Tower Damage" to KDA = KDATD. To have a more balance Gold/Silver/Copper ranking
Heroes with high basic attack should have more damage to towers compared to other heroes. This way, we'll know who is really not pushing in the early game, instead of just watching the replay.
I usually watch replays to see which of my teammate is not taking advantage of an open lane just farming creeps after clearing minion specially if the tower still has shield that gives gold (this gives more gold than any creeps).

Resources (like mana )are necessary as it keeps certain heroes held backby having a resource to manage. Take for example terizla, atm when a terizla runs out of mana when dominating in lane he needs to recall(duh) which gives their counterpart a bit of breathing room to catch up.
Basically the point im tryng to make is that mana on physical heroes is a vital part of the game and is smth that gives depth to it, by removing mana on physical damage heroes, Moonton is making the game much easier and is removing a lot of depth that should be there.
ML has depth? It disappeared since the Sky Piercer update.
Tbh I think it's kind of unfair for mages as they need to conserve skills now, unlike physical heroes just can spam their skills. Maybe just improve it by not completely removing mana but replacing it with something else

Maybe give them stamina bar instead? The bar fills up the more they use skills and when it's full maybe they will get some draw backs like at full bar they move a bit slower and skills will have additional cooldown, so that it can mimic real life Strains when you get exhausted???

Adding sky piercer is counsider a killed in seconds specially even tanks and fighters
defending the lane will be much easier with no mana usage on physical damage dealing heroes, either you over push or you lane freeze during the laning phase, a welcome improvement for assassins and roamers to gank over pushing players
In my opinion before fixing all these hero balancing and producing new skin or any new events they must first fix the network and game play issue. If the network (mobile data/ wifi) is slightly weak we can't even properly move, the ping fluctuats frequently but incase of other games especially HOK the game play is very smooth not much depending on the network strength. I think if they fix this issue lot of the players may remain in ML otherwise you know what i mean 😅
Instead of imposing *Mana* on Physical Dmg dealing heroes (fighters in general) we can let them have ;
1. Energy
2. Blood
3. Rage
4. Charges ( a self filling cell/Atk power)
Based on their hero characterisations or hero biographies.
Honestly, it's going to break the game even more.
Moonton had to adjust EVERY SINGLE physical hero to balance with the no mana, which is a grueling tasks considering it will take a lot and a lot of patches if it's going to be actually balanced.
It's not a route worth taking in, and it would make a balanced hero previously with mana, either too OP or too Weak (if they adjust it)

The need to go back to base inorder to replenish mana has always been the core factor in limiting broken physical heroes, especially those with high mobility+burst.
Imagine Rock Lee without his training weights. Get beat up early and you wont be able to comeback since your opponent has so much gold, experience, and probably objectives.
Unending clashes may be more apparent, thus your team would be able to feed more (since the opponents do not need to go back to base).

I'm not Bane main but judging his early performance he already struggle a lot against Alpha and Terizla spam. Either the devs nerf all non mana user exp or buff his sustainability in early game

I think they'll release a dedicated item to stack mana. Logically that kind of item should've been in the game for a long time. As for the mana one, it's valid. If they are getting damage nerf then no point complaining. It'll bring fresh air to the game. I
As Ruby main, she did not need to return base because of how strong is her LS until you realize that she is low on mana after continues assist or cc. Yeah. The effects is minimal but she is no longer need to back base.

They should have removed the mana from the heroes that have a much higher mana cost per skill. Removing mana from Roger, Alpha and Terizla seems to much even with the lowered DMG.
On the other hand, Franco, Grock and Arlott can really benefit from this considering that they have balanced stats and skill DMG in the early game.
As for the item changes, they should really think about this more because it can affect some heroes, albeit indirectly, in ways unimaginable until now.
For example when they fused the necklace and glowing wand, it affected mages with DOT (damage-over-time) skills like gord, Harley, zhask, Alice, and yve since they removed the additional DMG per skill DMG.
Meanwhile lolita getting mana system for her revamp
As a frequent Alice user I'm scared. I don't think my queen can handle her own after this experimental feature is approved. I'm happy for all the physical damage dealing heroes but I'm mostly concerned about mages and tanks like Alice and Cecilion whose skills scale with mana (but mostly Alice).
