lowkey sick of everyone saying ur changed and expensive now. i personally LOVE the high end boxes BECAUSE i cant afford them. i would never know whats in them. im glad you’re able to share the experience with us 😊🫶🏼
Agreed! Tastes and budgets change, I used to buy drugstore stuff, now I like more high end so why shouldn’t content creators feel the same way?. Are they supposed to have the same interests forever and make the same content over and over again? I also think most viewers aren’t buying advent calendars of any price point, these are just light, fun videos to have on when you’re getting ready or whatever.
I don’t get all of the nasty comments on the last few videos. I love all of the different content no matter what it is. I feel bad that people say some awful things. Move along if you no longer have an interest in the channel.
I don't think "everyone" is saying that, it's literally only a handful of people out of hundereds. As long as her personality dosen't change too much.. is what I care about. I know a few beauty UA-camrs who turned into "pretentious snobs" a few years after their channels got bigger which is when I stopped watching them. One of them I now call "The Dragon Lady" becuase her personality changed [so much] the last 2-3 years. 👿

@@lindsayhoffman2688 my issue is that these expensive advent calendars are exclusively holiday content. she doesn’t make expensive content all year round she makes a mix and its only during holidays where things get more expensive. its just a given but people are taking it personally.

I love bronzing drops to mix in with my foundation. Sometimes my skin looks more dry and cakey with a little tan going on lol sometimes i’ll mix it with my screen too to give a lil something! helps match my face to my body since my body is slightly more tan than my face! ❤

Love this series from you! Last year you inspired me to buy a bougier calendar and it was so fun. This year, the one I wanted most sold out so I'm reusing the calendar packaging from last year and making my own for fun.

I just restocked on that Paula’s Choice mandelic acid toner for the Sephora sale. I love that stuff. I have very sensitive skin and I use it a couple times a week. It’s very gentle but exfoliates your skin beautifully and really helps with texture ❤
The only skincare that is worth investing in is actives (retinal's, vitamin C, and exfoliants). Plus wear your sunscreen.

The Dr. Levy stuff is INSANE. I haven't tried the booster cream but I've tried the serum, a mask, the eye concentrate and the cleanser.
I'm also an advent calendar girl so I've tried my fair share of Barbara Sturm and Augustinus Bader, so those are up there in price and they're fine but almost every Dr. Levy thing I've tried has made an actual massive visual improvement in my skin in terms of fine lines/wrinkles. Use it at a time when you're not incorporating anything else in your routine (so you know what's doing it) and watch magic happen, seriously. It blows my mind that I don't hear more people talking about it.

I think that was a great advent calendar! It sold out before I could buy it! I love the gisou, westman, & lisa eldridge!! Ive tried Dr. Levy eye cream and its wonderful. Tried the mutha brand and really wanted to love it but didnt. Great mix of products!! Thanks for the video! So worth the $ and shame on the US ones!

LH cosmetics has an all full size advent calendar. I purchased it and was able to get a shit load of their products.
I believe that particular Paula's Choice exfoliator is the one more geared to sensitive/reactive skin.

That $105 cream that came in the glass bottle seemed so much nicer until you realize that the cap is just as tall as the bottle with the product. Definitely not getting as much product as you would assume based on how tall the Outer box was
The ingredients in those are the same ingredients that are in prenatals prenatals have a lot more but I could see how that would work on the hair

This box is definitely a bit better than that $2100 Vogue advent calendar in terms of what you're actually getting, the products themselves etc. But it's still a bit underwhelming considering there's a fuckton of products here that simply aren't going to work for everyone. I wish there was a bit more variety. 3 perfumes... two that smell basically identical? Why? That's only going to appeal to like 2% of the population who buys these.

That thumbnail freaked me out! I thought that you bought that advent calendar for $1,300. I know $299 is a lot, but $1,300 is wild to me. My boyfriend and I make good money and we are saving for a new couch, $1,300 is the price range of a new couch. So spending that kind of money on a beauty product advent calendar is kinda crazy to me lol.

I think it's difficult for a creator to do a no buy/low buy if that's not what they want to be doing. I'd rather a creator do what they *want* for the sake of authenticity. When they're forced to create content they aren't interested in, channels begin to fail.
Idk how boring would that get after a while, I want to live through other people on yt I want to experience the luxury without spending the money myself 😂
