Not every signing we make can be classed as a "Big" signing so let's just see what happens with him after a good few games 4 us...Baldwin and Johnson both have pace which is something we've not had loads of in the past...4th signing so far and it's the last day of May so at least we've moved quickly and efficiently to get signings in so I'm hoping we can continue to clear the dead wood out and bring in better replacements as the window goes on...UPTFC 🐔🐓⚽️💪🏻
Well quite a lot of Notts County fans say he makes a lot of mistakes. But BantamsSmallTalk (or now BantamsGooner because he supports Arsenal and talks about Bradford City fans being disloyal for protesting etc) says Notts County fans are talking rubbish he’s a good signing.
It’s a really tricky one to know who knows the most about the former Notts County player who has yet to kick a ball for Bradford City.
Let’s just hope he irons out the side of his game that is sloppy and will be sticking mainly to the part of his game where he performs well. Maybe GA doesn’t want him playing the ball out from the back and that will help reduce some of the potential for errors and bring the best out of him. Kind of the opposite to Matty Platt signing for Notts County when you think of it. A non-ball playing defender wanting to add playing out from the back to his game moving to Notts County and we get a ball playing defender moving out of Notts County to be a Matty Platt. Who knows.
As for you getting slaughtered online for what you said. Some of those people also are making out Notts County fans don’t know what they’re on about or are lying. I mean, they don’t believe people who have actually seen him play week in week out and think they know better than them having not seen him play. I mean, they don’t see the irony of telling you not to judge based on actual evidence rather than just feelings that we’ve signed a player so he must be good.
Those same people who thought all the signings Mark Hughes signed were great purely because Mark Hughes signed them are out in force again.
9:15 final point. I think he might be there in case Johnson gets injured which there’s a fair chance will happen. So It will be interesting to see what GA does when the season starts.

Notts fan, Could be very good, and also very bad, Very hard to say what he will be like at Bradford but i would not play him in the middle of defence it could cost you.
Makes silly mistakes , on the other hand can play brilliant , not right for our style but could have you raving if he settles in, we are a possession team you are more direct from what iv'e seen. good luck to him.
He needed a fresh start with more of a solid team in front of him it was just all attack at Notts leaving Aden exposed …Everything went through Aden he was the main defender with poor defenders and goalie beside him…

Baldwin is a very good footballer. The problem he had at Notts was that we played with a wing back system despite having no wing backs. This put too much pressure on the back three. In addition, he was playing in a team that lacked the help of a good goalkeeper.
Disappointing signings so far.

Byrne is also great at promotion with quality and experience
Notts fan here. Baldwin made so many defensive errors for us last season, however, given our style of play, playing such a high line and for our centre backs to be required to dribble the ball out whilst having a good passing range this contributed to his errors. I feel he is definitely a league 2 level player and may flourish under a different/more pragmatic style

Aden was ofter seen as the culprit for our poor record defensively. Often the scapegoat for others and the demand from the coaching staff to play out from the back. In my humble opinion he often appears to have breaks in concentration given the dominance that Notts had . But at his best he'll be an asset. 😎🇬🇷

He has a lot of pace and can recover balls efficiently and he is very good on the ball, but he is prone to make a lot of mistakes and his attitude at times can be poor

Really poor soft defender.
He is awful. He can't play out from the back hence we got rid. Give the ball away far too much. He would be better just hoofing it away

Classy defender at times, but as everyone says hes a walking goal against sadly. Concentration levels are just not what they need to be for a top 3/7 team
As a notts fan, I think he could be a surprise. I think playing in the system we have at notts made him so prone to make mistakes as he was nearly always the last man. The mistakes he made were bad, however, other times he is fantastic. A change to your style might bring the best out of him and odds are he ends up being and insane player against us. We'll have to see 😅🤣
Your right to call out his errors. Seen lots of county fans saying hes constantly error prone. This looks a cheaper platt downgrade.

I don’t know what to think about this-if he is a backup to Callum Johnson then I think it’s a good signing. I thought Johnson would be a backup to another more proven centre-back but clearly not. Weird signing but I trust Sharpe. Lie you said mate we need a lwb, a rwb, a striker and a lcb for this squad to be complete. After that we need to see who leaves and work off that.

@@Sam_bcafc I guess so it depends if Jonhson is out starting rcb and if Alex is still here-I was expecting him to move on given how stacked our midfield is. Maybe Alexander will move him to rwb but he’s too good of a player to not be starting. He could be a star player for another team with different goals.

I just don’t think Alexander values him the same-at Christmas he was a player of the season contender and by April he wasn’t even in the starting line-up. I would love to see him stay but at the same time he is too good to just sit on the bench. We’ll have to see at the start of the season 🐓⚽️
