  • George Cunningham from Tronix Pro is down on the South Coast with some light gear and jelly worms in his hands. A great spot for some LRF or Light Rock Fishing. He answers the question of what is LRF? And shows us how to set up a drop shot rig, how to hook on a jelly lure and then how to fish the drop shot method over the walls and rocks of Sapphire Hoe.

Hi could you please tell me which reel you are using

I've got a couple of piers near me but it's more estuary. There's no rocks or anything, basically it's in shoeburyness and southend. Could you tell me if this works for bass and if so what type of lure as the beaches are rammed in the summer. So it's impossible to fish from beach. Also is their a lure to use for maceral other than feathers

Dropshotting from piers can be great and yes you will catch bass on LRF gear, start with Marukyu isome or Berkley gulp sandworms they will catch many species.
For mackeral I use a 2g jighead coupled with a 2-3 inch clear worm with silver glitter in, such as the Aquawave straight worms.

Yeah lots, during summer, over the top of the tide, down in the well, you can catch lots of little black bream (great fun), smelt, I've had tompot Blennies too. Casting out you can find mackeral, garfish and scad, always the chance of a rogue flounder too! Will try to get some meets together again this year around Worthing and Shoreham.

    No hate, I LRF but
*LRF=The Fishstocks have been destroyed by continental trawlers, Seal overpopulation and contaimination of the spawning grounds with all sorts so all that's left to catch is mini spieces*

New trend ... what garbage , Fishing from the rocks has been around for Years ... More like some marketing whalloper decided to create a trendy term . And the guy is fishing from a harbour wall not even from the rocks ,,, by any means ..
How on earth is that even that which the video claims to be when it's clearly not
