I took down my Diy microlocs early last year due to some issues but I didnt see your channel during my time with them. I am planning to out them back in and from my research I do not see others doing their loc channel the way you are. You are so helpful to people like me. And the way you do it with passion is wow. You are amazing.

You did a stunning job! Your warnings on the so-called "protective styles" with extensions pretty much mirror what I've shared with my clients to help them make well informed decisions. Beautiful! Thanks for posting. It's my furst time visiting your page. Well done!

I just ordered this tool from Bramble. My hair is dense but soft, curly, and rebellious especially out of the top. I’m almost 5 yrs in half with sealed in half not. I also have some that unravel in various spots on some locks.
I’m going to attempt to correct this. I’m tired of the open ends that are too loose curly or fuzzy loose and fat.
I’ve decided to take control of my own hair bc most consultants will not do this for clients thanks Pauline!

Thank you so much Pauline. I really appreciate your video's. I recently ordered a Klixer tool. Its a power operated crochet hook. It works wonders on larger locs. I haven't tried it on sisterlocks yet. When you get a chance can you show us how you repair thinning locs. Thanks

Oooh, can you please share info on the power operated crochet hook you're talking about? Yes, on the thin locs request.

Pls do. I've noticed a loc that's thinning and apparently I'm the only one that sees it (not my loctition)

This happened to my natural hair. I wanted to get crochet locs over my hair before permanently locing, to see if I would like it. Neeeeever again. When I took the locs out around the front and very back perimeter my hair came out with the added loc! I do not recommend it at all! Thanks Pauline for sharing! Love your content!☺️😉

@@EnToiBeauty is there a "safe" way of having the look of butterfly locs over your real locs without risking your real hair coming out? Or like an easier, safer method?

    • @nikkij_2383

@@misn757 No, I don’t think I had a reaction or her method. She’s an amazing gentle braider and strongly cares about the health of your hair. I have really fine strands around the perimeter of my head, even more so in the back. Maybe I wasn’t gentle enough taking them out. Lesson learned for sure!😄

peace Queen. So I clicked your linnk and also searched all over for a .3 and only found a .5. There sere no .3 even in my searches and calls to places. Searching Bramble also turned up nothing. I ended up getting the .5 and trying the technique. rolling the lock while feeding the tool thru is really hard it seems. I am working on it! Thanks for the inspiration!

What’s the difference with using a needle &thread and crotchet ? Which is stronger 🙏?

    • @Amoni83
      @Amoni83 7 місяців тому

Using the crochet tool, connects your strands of hair without any extra materials. It would definitely way less than using a needle and thread. This is the way instant locks are formed, so I imagine this would be the sturdiest solution as well.

I just shaved my head and I want to reattach at something, the reason I cut the locs of is because the my new growth was struggling after having covid last year my hair and skin took the hit , so at this treated my locs and gave a lot of love to them be for I carefully clip them off 1 by1 so now I'm medically treating my scalp and using African healing oil every other day and loving the fact that I can actually massage my head and scalp..

Girl, that tool is no joke, especially the .35mm. You have to be really careful and know how to use it. I don't offer this service often, especially on clients with itsy bitsy locs. Like for real, what am I matting together?

Can you please do another video where you talk through the motion of your hands (what you're doing ) while slowing down the hand movement please ?

I made an accidental knot while retying one of my microlocs and now im frustrated because I tightened the knot because I knew I couldn't get that knot out. Then I kept retying that same loc only to discover that the knot just keeps getting bigger wirh every retie. I'm so annoyed by that.
Now I have to wait until new growth come in and then I will have to cut it and reattach it😢🙄😑

I have 3 locs that have an annoying knot in them. I really want to cut them, comb the knot out, and reattach but everytime I've tried to the loc never stayed. So I'm scared to even try. I accidentally cut two and couldn't reattach properly. But I used a crotchet with 2 hooks so maybe that was too big for my micros.
