Got most of the games I wanted to in here, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to find Arkansas State’s 83-10 win over Texas Southern in 2008 and Texas Tech’s 80-21 over Sam Houston State in 2005.
Notice that UNC had 80 points with 5 minutes left in Q3. At that point, the coaches agreed to just let the clock run. UNC could have scored over 100 in that game easily.
Why do you need defense if you're offense can outscore them😂 the team with the most points at the end of the game wins. And how do you score points? With offense
Andrew Sebree that’s honestly one of the most dumbass comments I’ve seen. You have your defense to prevent the other team from scoring points. Are you also forgetting the fact that defenses can score points as well? Take the Oklahoma vs West Virginia game for example. How did Oklahoma win? With their defense scoring a late game sealing clutch touchdown
Penn St best Cincinnati 84-0 back in the early 1990’s. Back in the Day I modified Front Page Sports Pro Football season and had. Stacked Penn St team repeatedly do onsides kicks to rack up a 284-0 trashing of Norte Dame. At one point I got six straight onside kicks and scored within a few plays each time. By the end of game has nearly 1300 yards of total offense and had ball for 48 minutes.
I was at the UNC game. The game was so high scoring that the football team nearly beat their basketball team. For reference, the basketball team scored 83 points and won that same day.
What do you say to your team if you're the Savannah state coach after that game? "Well guys, we really sucked today. But there's always next week right?"
Then there was the time when Utah State dropped 84 on Boise State. That happened in 1975. I was in the stands at Bronco (now Albertsons) Stadium. That was when the Broncos were in Division 1-AA and in the Big Sky Conference. The final: 84-21.
1991 Penn State beat Cincinnati 81-0. JoePa was even a little apologetic about the result of the game afterwards, he even was playing players that had never played before and defensive formations to try and help Cincy get on the board.
This is the same Georgia Southern who played Alabama and Nick Saban was quoted as saying, "they ran through us like shit through a tin horn" after they put up 302 rushing yards on that 2011 defense that is regarded as one of the best of all time. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Bama fan but that was an impressive outing by Georgia Southern, no doubt. Alabama's defense only allowed 938 rushing yards on the entire season.
Savannah State were also 70-point underdogs in a game against Florida State maybe ten years ago. They have an illustrious history of getting blown out, it seems.
The highest scoring FBS game in recent memory is Western Kentucky over West Virginia...Tech in 2007, 87-0. Though I think WKU may have been only a provision member at this time.
The TCU one was stupid because fatty patty kept his starters in well after 60 points. He was doing it on purpose to score as much as he could. Most of these other ones had their backups in scoring points which you cant argue with get those guys some experience
Oh my bad... I thought it was combined points scored. I just clicked on the video and fast forwarded to see that game. Tbh LSU should’ve won early or in the middle of overtime.
I know a man who did win a natty in baseball at Savannah State so they are good at something. They also teach a graduate level english course on the writings of Outkast so they also win because of that
Penn State came super close a couple years ago, pasted Idaho 79-7, and it wasn't even that close, backups were playing most of the second half. Idaho was a bad team and Penn State was a national title contender, but still that's an impressive score.
Why only 3 out of the 14 teams on this video were from the Big 12? I'm not counting West Virginia because they weren't in the Big 12 whenever that game was played.
Kody Langham Sorry about my previous comment. I thought he was talking about 80+ points (combined) games. The thing is I immediately commented before watching the video. My bad.
trippieblue 920 well teams that have terrible offenses prolly can’t but I’m talking about great offenses that we have seen like 2019 LSU, 2010 Auburn, 2013 FSU, 2008 Florida, 2018 Oklahoma you know those kinds of teams if they keep their starters in they can score 90 on an FCS team
The literally could have, but they decided not to and shortened the game. I was there and the coaches decided to have a running clock in the 4th, and shorten the game by 5 minutesz
