that was good. Give's you an idea of how complicated the game actually is and how intelligent these players need to be
+1loobie It's really not hard. If you've played football for a while, most stuff comes like common sense. Most of the guys in the NFL have been playing for YEARS, so they know most of this stuff already. As far as the play, it's broken down into separate parts. The first part of a play typically involves the lineman and whether if it's a run/pass and/or what kind of block. The 2nd part tells which formation and the 3rd part tells the play. The audibles are learned through practice and mainly with chemistry. Peyton and Marvin Harrison didn't even need to talk to each other for an audible to happen. Why? Because they played for so long, they knew what each person was going to do. That's why they tell you team chemistry in important in sports like football and basketball.
+Marlon R thank you for that Marlon. Football for me went as far as flag football. plays for me were "do this" and draw it with your finger. lol
***** Yeah, I played from about 4th grade to my senior year in high school. Had the opportunity to go to some smaller D3 colleges to continue my career, but just decided to focus on my education. I may walk on to my university's team, but right now, my focus is strictly education.
+Marlon R good for you

Cam newton is a better explainer than all my high school teachers that I have lmao
most qbs probably get asked these questions alot by their friends outside the sport, i would have to imagine theyre all great at explaining things after having to do it over and over again
A high school teacher: now class what did you learn today?
Cam Newton: It don't matter
Is Cam doing standup? This guy is hilarious!

Tim Ma those pants are hilarious
DrtyBrd5.0 bro what
Needs to work on a new profession since he’s failed as a QB.

If you don’t know what you’re talking about, why even comment something like that?
damn cam Newton is entertaining!
True...lots of fun to watch and listen to
Big personality, I can definitely see him as an analyst on a top network some day.
Kie Coleman his black
For sure, he'll have a successful post NFL career in whatever field he chooses. I'd love for him to be an analyst

I don't get how anyone can hate this guy.
Only racists and envious people do. Cam is Real and a very good person.
Scarlett O'hara What does race have to do with this? People hate cam newton cause he's a winner that's all
Scarlett just because people dont like someone who is black doesent make them racist. I hate him cause hes cocky. Shut the fuck up u liberal
Joey Paglia do you not read? Did you not see the words and, and envious? The fact is there are some people who dislike him because of his race.
Pelaiah Mpande.... ever watched his after SB 50 interview??? Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeah
People really underestimate how hard it is to play QB at the NFL level. Cam just gave insight on what he thinks through and the looks he is looking for and he processes all that in a few seconds and on ONE play that’s insane !!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💯💯💯💪🏾💪🏾
this guy got a future in standup.. ha
You and he both do not 'got' a future in teaching English grammar.
Tony Baird Hey illiterate lives matter!!! Ok
Tony Baird - You scrolled through UA-cam comments that were posted at least a year ago, found a nice one from someone complimenting Newton's humor, and decided to insult that person for their use of slang. Is this who you wanted to be when you grew up?
Yoshiling to be fair it's not really slang so much as just broken/improper english. Words like "ain't" are slang, using incorrect grammar doesnt really qualify imo. I do agree it's stupid af to correct grammar on a comment posted a year ago though

Highly intelligent thinker and articulate speaker. Obviously has charisma and is quick on his feet both physically and mentally. All the tools to be a great QB, as well as to be a great broadcaster.
I know people love to hate on him, but why isn't this guy getting more recognition as one of the faces of the NFL? He's charismatic and rather charming.
It's all right to be a good QB, but to be Great and a Black QB who is re-defining what it means to be a pro QB is too threatening to the existing order. The attempt is to stop Cam Newton "by any means necessary" by keeping out of the public eye as much as possible--and to demonize Cam in the media. Great QB's are not "supposed to be" Black, and Cam Newton is very Black inside and out--and proud of it.
Scarlett is a ridiculously dumb bitch who is using the race card to explain why her QB isn't at the top of the list. The fact is that he's young and hasn't done anything, other than choke and play like a paraplegic in the superbowl. He will get his time in the sun, but he hasn't proven himself yet. For the past 2016 season, he only completed 52% of his passes. Not too impressive. However, once he is one of the greats, he will be recognized more. If race was a factor in the NFL, jerry rice wouldn't be recognized as the greatest player of all time in the nfl, and lawrence taylor wouldn't be #2.
Skynetz Answer: He's Black.
Scarlett O'hara I rarely see white people hating on cam lmao, it’s more just salty fans of other teams hating on him after he dominated as a qb for multiple seasons in a row. All great players that aren’t quiet get hate
Scarlett O'hara I think it’s the opposite. I think they hide him, bc his skin color is black, but he as far away from the black culture as it gets and I think it rubs ppl the wrong way. He talks properly, he dresses properly and he doesn’t support that stupid ass BLM shit. The only think black about Cam is his skin.
" Oh chelsey he just gave him a fade signal!" Cracking up
I screamed!!! 😂😂😂😂
who is chelsey ? im a casual football fan who needs to know
Shows how IQ is everything at QB, which helps explain surprises like guys who went in the late rounds and succeeded and other guys who went early and underperformed. When its mostly about brains, instinct and work ethic, combine data doesn't help much.
Wow! Cam Newton can really deliver a speech!! He articulated himseld so well I don't even like football at all and I want to keep hearing him talk

I love Cam Newton.
Yooo, Little Vittles! When is the Viva la Bam reunion coming?

I love watching him fail.
Whats amazing is it took 5 minutes to explain that whole thing, from the end of the last play to the huddle with players coming on and off the field to calling the play lining up and processing what he sees from the defense all in 40 seconds. 🤯
"Been watchin film too huh?, That's cool watch this"
It's hard enough to explain a concept to someone with no familiarity b/c of the information gap that has to be closed. Even harder without a prepared visual aid. Yet even more challenging to do with an entire audience of novices. And even more difficult to explain a complex passing play (involving opposing sets of coordinated players). Cam just guided a bunch of ladies through the process of calling audibles on the spur of the moment and everyone instantly understood when the touchdown would happen in under 4 minutes. And he was entertaining as hell when he did it!
All of this! He’s intelligent, talented, and personable... I don’t understand why people don’t like him.
@@queendeche4555They don't like him, because he is confident and he speaks his mind. Unfortunately the "old school" media and beat writers like "those type" of QBs to be humble and corporate.

This Graham guy is the best Interviewer ive Seen for a Long time
What? I was told by youtube experts that Cam is a dummy and doesn't know how to read a defense.
Wait, so he read the rushes in the Superbowl and just let them come?? That's some meta play right there
awkzilla Wait, so he went 17-2, scored 45+ TD's with Ginn as his #1 WR, and won MVP while crushing the Seahawks and Cardinals top 5 defenses not knowing how to read a defense? That's some next level shit right there. GTFO you scrub.
as the Panthers cruised through the season playing the worst Defenses in the NFL with their only actually impressive win coming against a struggling Seahawks team (who completely shut them the fuck down in the second half of the Divisional round). They looked absolutely lost and pathetic after halftime, kind of how he and the Panthers looked the entire super bowl
Mikey Johnson Haha so defensive! I never said he can't read a defense at all. He just can't do it all the time... Especially against that sweet sweet orange crush in the big boy game
And thank you smokewitchills, I totally forgot about their schedule and that second half of the Seahawks game nobody wants to remember :)
smokewitchills Need new material. Panthers proved they were for real in the playoffs absolutely SMASHING the Seahawks and Cardinals, whom both were considered superbowl bound. And who gives a fuck about the 2nd half of that game? They went up 31-0 in the fucking first half and then went into cruise control. Nothing to see here. Y'all are pathetic. Get new material and then come back to me.
Haters choose what they want to see. You overlook a 17-2 season and only look at the negatives. You overlook an MVP season and only look at the negatives. You overlook the good parts of the game and only look at the negatives. Such negative people tbh.
I played a little and what people dont know about QBs is that they are some of the slickest con-men you will ever meet. They get up to the line and they have to fool everyone into believing something else is going to happen. Its second nature to the good ones
He's matured a lot since college, and he's cleaned up his speech in terms of being clear and well spoken. Well done I must say.
I just love his southern accent and him.
Alicia Green he has a southern accent? I can't notice it but it maybe because I'm from the south as well
Cam Newton after retirement could make a great TV host, Nfl analyst or a comedian. This man is entertaining as hell
You were close....He seems to be loving and doing well with his Podcast
Can we all agree there are no dumb jocks in football? Remember he had 12-14 seconds once he got to the line to check the coverage, change the route and blocking assignments.
And now “Benji” is talking trash about Cam these days and saying he’s inaccurate and lacks knowledge about the game...crazy man loyalty means nothing in sports
Seems like Benjamin blames him for his career not being what it should be, instead of acknowledging that he's overweight, slow, and doesn't run precise routes.
Loyalty? How loyal would you be to a guy who cost his team the Super Bowl cause he’s such a manchild that he jumped AWAY FROM THE FUMBLE. Strictly because of fear. Lol. What a loser.....I love watching him fail.
sickboy3636 That was one mistake from his career and that play has nothing to do with loyalty. Loyalty is how he stays on his team, never gives up on his own team. You don’t know what you are saying. Oh yeah yeah.
@@babytrap9163 You know nothing about football. Debating with you is like talking to a dog.....your perspective and outlook on the game are not even worthy of conversation.
@@sickboy3636 LMAO... you are a humorous troll... that was one play that is easily opinionated in slow motion... but guess what? Cam guided the Panthers to the Super Bowl WITHOUT KB. As for the SUBJECT of the comment... KB is not as good as he could or should be, and instead of admitting it, he blamed Cam. That is weak. And since you mention failing... how long did KB last in Buffalo... KC? Oh, yeah...

I've gotta say that CAM is a very likable guy. He's got a great sense of humor, very personable and just fun all around person.

Agree, a QB just dont take his team to superbowl with luck and also get to be the first pick in draft. He gotta be smart.
Too bad Cam doesn’t even fully understand it. Which is why he’s failed repeatedly as a QB and will never win the big game.

Cam is a funny guy. I remember watching this just before Supebowl 50 and not having much respect for him as a person before hand. But I'm glad I watched this because I gave him a lot more respect as an opponent.

Very well spoken and entertaining
im just seeing this now and now it makes sense to me why Cam felt so betrayed when Benjamin bad mouthed him behind his back to the media. You can see in this video that cam really loved benjamin. Wow now that confrontation video between cam and benjamin feels a lot more heavy. Cam handled that situation like a grown man. even more respect to cam now
It’s amazing what goes into the game. All of these plays that sound jibberish but have a purpose. Pretty cool
