My first BOOTLEG Set ever was the TMNT Movie figures i had no idea until later they were fake thats how good they looked. All four turtle's were spot on to the Neca except for Michael Angelos eyes looked crazy.
I wound up with a counterfeit of this exact figure. It's frustrating, it's so hard to tell before you order it on eBay. For me it was particularly obvious because the box printing is quite blurry. It might look fine on its own, but it's very noticeable next to other official boxes. Thanks for reviewing this further.
Yes it is hard to purchase off of Ebay. I like to see the pictures of it and also get the Street date on the bottom. If its not the original street date than its all good.

I’ve found out that Amazon sell the real ones where as eBay is most likely to be the fakes, it’s also depends on the price, fakes usually go for 20-25 quid, where as the real ones go for 32-35 maybe a little more.
Great video. The same workers that make the molds, steal the molds. They come from overseas, exactly where they came from. Employees still the molds. Just like everything else made overseas. Brake pads, to clothing, shoes, door handles, to toys, stealing is stealing.
I purchased one of these recently through Amazon Uk, and the paint scheme looks like neither of the ones you've shown here (overall darker skin-tone and more of a matte finish). Pretty sure it's a bootleg (no blood on pants, axe-wound in hockey mask not properly routed out, etc), but it looks pretty cool. Only paid £16.69 sterling (roughly $21 USD) for it so can't really moan. I can always mod it and put a little more blood on the headsculpts but could you tell me if enamel paint would be ok with the plastic, or should I use acrylic-based paint?

Not so, there are many that do not have blood on the pants and are not fake, if you bought it recently you will have the re-release version where there is much more dirt on pants, hands and shirt and no blood, you can check it by looking for videos of the Jason Part IV 1/4 figure, has no blood in his pants, just dirt
@aXe Just purchased a pt V dream sequence Jason for £23 from Ebay. Came from a chinese seller and apart from the limb & waist joints being a bit loose am happy with my purchase. A little bit of acrylic paint goes a long way
Well damn after further inspection didn’t have to go past the figure to inspect the weapons that I’m returning this one as well. His left leg is shorter than his right and he has to left feet. Guess I’ll try another place I was recommended to try . What fuckin shame this world has come too.
I just bought one off eBay says new and when I received it. Something just doesn’t seem right. The packaging seems different the clear window was loose and just pulled out. The head wear you can put the machete on side of his head doesn’t really fit. Seems a lot smaller than what I see on here. Did I get screwed over or is this the original release.?

There also seems to be different versions of fakes because mine was definitely fake and the back of it was so dark I could barely see the pictures compared to the fake in this video
If this surprises you, you should see the new knock off. They are so similar that I stopped making the videos because nothing is different except like the color on the box.

To be honest theres not much of a difference at all lol if you do customs a little bit of paint you could make it look exactly like the original or even better... Right now we won't be getting any licensed Friday the 13 figures for a long time because the franchise is caught up in a court case on who owns the rights... so neca or Mezco can't release anything new So very soon we will have to either pay eBay scalpers prices or grab the next best thing which would be one of these... My local Target just sold me a KO with a laughable quality read up, it’s barely legible and all the details on the box are slightly fuzzy so to speak. No issue so far I suppose with the figure itself but I’m pretty miffed that I have to be careful in my department stores man, what a friggin bummer.
The department stores get directly from Neca. The only way that would of been fake is if someone bought and returned the fake. I have heard of people doing that and its sad. But if that didnt happen then its real especially if its a reissue with the date at the bottom. If it has a newer date than its a reissue

You can get the real from stores like Walmart, Target, and FYE plus some others. Buying directly from Neca is also a option with some of the ones that are not sold out. I would find a seller that is directly buying from Neca is possible.

Do you know what the bottom UPC Dates is? They only made a fake of the original packaging. So if it has a newer date than the original then it is real.

I ordered on Amazon and the pants are pink and are a different color to the pelvis area pants. Almost the same color as his skin. Looks like he's only wearing underwear.
If it's sold by Amazon or Neca it won't be a fake , if it's a sellar on eBay or Amazon then you have to watch out. I just bought the 2018 Halloween Myers from Amazon for 50 plus tax. Its 100 percent real.
Ya it sucks when that happens. That happened with my terminator figure. Then I just did a Fake vs Real on the Police Station Terminator and when you move one leg the other leg moves also smh. They both go in the same direction no matter what.

I got one from Amazon where noone on it does it say NECA. The back is so dark that you can't see the picture. Its pretty bad. Luckily I bought one from Big Bad Toy Store also that is legit.
Which online companies are Legit for Selling Real Neca toy figurines. I know Amazon and EBay sellers will sell counterfeit Neca toys. Who do you trust. I'd be pissed if I purchased a fake figurine. I only buy my Neca's at Target.
Whereas on the original the fading effect on the chevrons is perfectly done, on the fake one, the faded chevrons look like crap. Besides, chevrons (especially the upper one) tend to be misaligned on the ko. Moreover, bootlegs are always sad. Why? because they're usually blue ;P lol I don't know why but fake ones tend to feature a bluish tint-- yes, fakes are definitely (blue) tinted... really messed up...

@ The point is moot now anyway. Did a custom re-paint of both heads and now it looks better than the genuine ones
@ Is so. The re-issue has a more detailed mask (nose-chip,etc). It doesn't matter it looks pretty damn cool now
