These videos are even BETTER than your old tv shows! I hope you keep doing them!
Hello Dana how are you doing. I believe you are safe and in good health.
Just stop fake laugh.. years ago she didn’t do that in beginning videos... she cool she doesn’t need to laugh so much
Me too, yahooooo 🤗
Ladies let's love each other 😘 sorry Fred your not a lady🤭
Yes they are, she can do like she wants to in her own kitchen, I just love it!❤️
“Keeping a house” or “running a house” is a lost art. Both my grannies called it home train’in!
Paula....please don't stop these shows! I'm retired now up in Emerald Isle NC and live for your shows! Absolutely love them and have been making some of these dishes. My mom loves watching them too!
I’d love to know more about “showed her how to keep a house” in the old southern fashion - either a show or an entire channel. It’s a lost art and it’s not taught in high schools anymore. No one ever showed me so with working and all, keeping a house was more like putting out fires. Life has slowed down now. I’d be nice to have an old southern route to match the new slower pace at home. I love you, truly - so so happy to see you again on UA-cam....
I've got a collection of turn of the century & later "cook" books that teach absolutely EVERYTHING. What a lost generation we have now. It's really sad.
I hope they read this comment and make it happen!
Paula - You make my day - you're a Southern treasure - We all love you - Keep the videos coming
I just love your bestie ms paula! Ms susan is such a sweet and genteel southern lady. You two brighten my day. God bless u both. Im 43 and i lost my best friend when i was 18 to a drunk driver when she was just about to turn 20. I like to think of all the adventures we would of had if she was still living. You both are so lucky to have one another. I have never found another friend like my girlfriend who passed. She was truly one of a kind. Thank u for doing these videos ms paula. I know us here in Tampa Florida appreciate y'all doing it. I get up every morning and look to see what u have posted.
This is like cooking with your favorite aunties!
Paula we love you so much ...please continue to do these cooking shows on youtube. This is my morning routine ...and we all on here love this so much...coffee and Paula every morning. 😘
Yes we do this is what I do every morning t coffee and Paula ❤
Paula that laugh just melts my heart every time. It makes me feel like everything's going o be alright. Thanks for your Quarantine Cooking Shows. Your UA-cam channel is the best!
Miss Paula, I hope I have as many lovely stories and memories to share when I’m your age! Thank you for keeping your heritage alive and remembering people through recipes and stories. It’s so beautiful 💕💕💕
My in laws are moving out of the house they have lived in for 58 years. Well that’s a lot of years and a lot of stuff. I got a couple recipe magazine/cookbooks that were my husband’s grandmother’s. Two are almost a 100 years old, the was a handwritten recipe of his grandmother’s too! Loved one of the ingredients, it calls for a walnut size of lard!
That sure is funny....kind of like golf ball size except it described with a food item !!! HeHe
A walnut size of lard ♡♡♡ I just Love that quote♡♡♡ I bet the recipes are DELICIOUS!!!
Lard may be bad for the arteries, but makes great pastry.
Paula Deen and bubbles Yay ! hey Susan thanks for visiting with Paula she's so Amazing and loving!I I truly enjoyed seeing this Golda's Waldorf Salad Recipe being made its so yummylicous looking and I was looking for a New Salad to try out too! so perfect! Paula, I can’t tell you how much I’m enjoying these videos during this time! This is so sweet of you to share with us like this! This has certainly been a trying time for all of us, and I for one appreciate you so much! This recipe looks so good! I definitely want to make it. But the video offers so much more than just a recipe in a book - I loved hearing about Golda! What a blessing she must have been!
Thank you again. God bless you!
It warms my heart when people remember others. Especially when they've been so sweet in life this reminded me of my grandmother. I ran into a few family friends. Nobody talks about her. And they remembered her I got choked up couldn't hold in my tears . I try and talk about the people that I loved as much as I can. So they won't be forgotten. My grandmother has a lot of dishes that she cooked with love. When I cook them I always remember her. Bubbles is a sweetheart to share this moment with her bestie ❤
Good Morning Happy Saturday Y'all... it's my coffee time with my wonderful Paula and friends ☕ I love this salad grandma used to make this 😋. There is nothing like a morning story with Paula my friends. I love you all ..hope all you have a beautiful weekend 😘❤. Paula you and bubbles.... have a beautiful day friend ❤❤
@To Be Honest Happy Saturday ...have a wonderful night 😘
Hi there Paula! So I have been quietly watching these quarantine cooking shows for the better part of 2 or 3 months, never commenting. In fact, this might be my first time commenting. I want you to know that you are a part of my nightly ritual when I need to relax and wind down. My absolute FAVORITE video is that spectacular fig cake you made that sadly fell apart when you flipped it over...I wanted to take the broken pieces of that gorgeous cake off of your hands so bad I almost licked my phone screen😂😂😂 . I pray that you do another video featuring that cake. I've never had it before and would love to try it the way you made it. At any rate, I want to thank you and everyone involved for relaxing me, making me smile, making me chuckle, educating me about different foods, sharing stories of your various family members and friends. Please stay safe and don't stop making these videos ❤️
I love these videos so much. Been enjoying knowing Bubbles also
That freezer drawer is awesome. I love salads like this. Watergate, Ambrosia, Waldorf, Strawberry Pretzel Salad. Growing up in the 70’s and 80’s these were a staple at family holiday gatherings.
@Dandelionwishes 1072 • It's what I miss most of that generation...all my Greats would have a version of these salads and as a child, wow it was just like eating sweets for your supper.
Paula, please continue these videos after the quarantine is over. You have brought so much fun, uplifting/ light-heartedness and cooking enjoyment to my, and probably many others lives. God Bless You!!!
She said --"God has forgotten about her, and the Devil doesn't want her" lol.🤣🤣🤣
Yes we love seeing the family everyday on Quarantine Cooking ❤️🌹❤️
The chat between you two friends is priceless!! Thanks for letting us into your kitchen :)
The stories..I love the stories Paula❤️ Young people need to hang with older people. It reminds me when I was a little girl, around 1965 , and I used to go to my neighbors house and listen to the stories from an elderly lady “ Sofie”” as she ran her wringer washer doing laundry....precious to me still today!
In the summer I absolutely love. Garden dinner. Fried corn. Fried green tomatoes sliced red tomatoes. Green onions fresh half runner green beans cucumbers and what ever else I can find at the farmers market topped with my mama's corn bread. Yum yum. Omg time to go to the market 😆
What a beautiful salad for any occasion. I have spent quarantine alone; don't have a family. Enjoying the cooking shows and meeting Paula's friends and family has been so much fun. Love that the recipes are things I recognize and doable. Can't wait to take a covered dish!
Can I also say, I sure hope someone can say such kind words about me. (When I'm gone) That brought tears to my eyes Mrs Paula
Paula’s adorable giggle has got to be one of the most delightful sounds!
BUBBLES!!!!!! Y'all NEED TO TAP DANCE!!! I LOVED THAT EPISODE BACK IN THE DAY!!! Y'all are so awesome!!!
God bless Ms Golda🙏I have Rheumatoid Arthritis it is so painful bless all that have this form of arthritis it's horrible. So great seeing y'all together
I love old-fashioned recipes like this one and the little ladies in my life that always made them!
What’s Watergate Salad?? Recipe please! 😊😊😊
OMG! My granny called it Funeral salad too!!
@@candleshoemanor Hello! I had to run and grab my most beat-up, dirty, 'this is the one cookbook I can't live without', local-fundraiser cookbook for the recipe , and here it is: Incorporate these ingredients, put into a dish, and refrigerate overnight: 1 can crushed pineapple (undrained), 1 small pkg instant pistachio pudding mix, 1/2 cup mini-marshmallows, 1/2 cup chopped pecans, 9 oz. Cool Whip (or I suppose you could whip your own cream), a few maraschino cherries (I like to slice in half or use as a decorative topping.) That's it!
@@Trish.Norman So funny!
I have made Watergate salad often.
That looks so good !! I love these kinds of salads . Thank you Bubbles and Paula for sharing another awesome video with us !! ❤❤😘😘
One of the best shows on youtube. Glad you popped up on here today. The world needs more Paula Deen. Keep it up.
Nice recipe, it brings back memories. My grandmother, who lived with us for six months a year until she moved in with us in her latter years introduced me to Waldorf salad, used to make a Waldorf salad that I loved. She passed away in her late 90's back in the 1990's. Apples, raisins, celery, I don't remember if she put cucumber in it, walnuts or pecans, mayo, and I think she added something else to it, but I never saw her make it (I'd have been at school.) Everyone loves it.
These videos are better than your old show and I didn't think it could get any better. I feel like I'm right there in the kitchen with you. Never seen a cooking show I enjoy more. You're the best and I really mean it. Bless you and stay safe.
This is fantastic! Loved Bubbles telling about her mom. Mine just died at 100. Love y'all, nancy
Paula, Keep on doing your UA-cam cooking shows ... we just love em! We just love our Paula Deen!
I just love the stories and recipes!!!!
Hi Paula, just thought I would pop on here, and tell you thank you so much for taking the time out of your day, and sharing a part of your life, and your family. I've always enjoyed watching you, and just love your energy. I hope you continue the video after all this craziness were going through. I know 5 or 7 days a week can be alot , maybe you could squeeze in 2 or 3 ..I'm just from Alabama, and I've been to and through Georgia several times, but never been to Savannah, so my husband is a truck driver, and he told me that this year he would bring me that way, so I can eat at you place. Can't wait. I've really would enjoy it if you would show me in your videos how to make a cream of coconut. Well if you get a chance to read this .just know your so loved .Take care and try and stay away from this virus.
Where can I find the maraschino nuts? Haha Paula you make me smile everyday!!! 💖
I loved that she brought her friend and the conversation. I felt like I was right there! LOL! That salad was not what I was expecting when I clicked. I could eat that whole thing! Delicious!!!
Miss Paula I could watch your videos all day! This looks so good. I can't wait to make it.
Good morning, everyone!! ♥️ 🌞
When you said that word "turd" I blew food all over the kitchen counter😂😂 Love these videos. You are such a hoot and I have gotten such good ideas from you. Can't wait to make that "geriatric" salad. Looks so good. Wish I was enjoying a bite with you and Bubbles!
This looks delicious. I am going to give it a try and I feel like it will be a summer staple in my house from now on. Thank you for the videos, I look forward to them so much.
I thought you were going to cry talking about "one of the finest women I have ever met". I thought I was going to cry with you. We were both right at the edge but, in true Southern fashion we took a deep breath and went on.
I am so enjoying watching quarantine cooking with you. You make us feel like we are in the kitchen with you. I hope you keep doing these video's. I have never had the frozen version of this salad. I have made it many times, just never frozen. It will be so refreshing, on a hot summer day.
This is not a Waldorf Salad recipe. This recipe is often called Watergate Salad or Ambrosia Salad in the south. According to Kraft Kitchens, when the recipe for Pistachio Pineapple Delight was sent out, an unnamed Chicago food editor renamed it Watergate Salad to promote interest in the recipe when she printed it in her column. -- The Waldorf salad, originally a simple apple-celery-mayo combo, was introduced on March 14, 1893, at a charity ball honoring St. Mary's Hospital for Children. Its debut coincided with that of the Waldorf hotel, which opened the previous day. The charity ball was the very first event held at the hotel.
Absolutely awesome!!
God Bless You for the loving care to your elderly relatives!!!!
I grow red seedless grapes and will be trying this very soon. I love 💜💚💜 cold salads. Thank you. God bless.
Paula keep these videos coming. We all love them. Think I will try this both ways.
I love her cooking and her stories ♥️
That reminds me of my mother in laws “green”,salad the kids used to call it. But she just used a box of instant pistachio pudding mix small container of whipped topping, can of crushed pineapples half a bag of mini marshmallows and a little bit of milk or of half and half while mixing and “,viola” it was done. Thank goodness my kids were introduced to it as youngsters because anything green they won’t or I should say “wouldn’t” try and they loved this. That brings bk memories. Thanks Paula 🙏🏼
That's Watergate salad. My grandma used to make it for us when we were kids, too. It's still one of my favorite things.
This recipe is similar to the frozen fruit salad served with chicken salad rolls at The Columns luncheon spot in Lynchburg, Virginia back in the 1960s. My college campus was located across Rivermont Avenue from The Columns, and we girls loved to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions by having lunch there.
Yum!
Oh My Word! Happy to see another Randy Mac Girl on Miss Paula's UA-cam! I have not thought about The Columns in years. Love this salad too.
@@brendaashworth3581 Well, hi there, Brenda! I was hoping another R-MWC alumna would be among the group here and recognize the references. The Columns was such a lovely place, and they always served consistently good food. Of course the meals at the college were also very good. I'm from the Class of 1969, so we still had sit-down, homestyle meals in the dining halls. All those wonderful memories are painful now in light of what happened to our college. When the news broke in 2006, I wrote the four Board members from my class and told them they had sold Secretariat and bought a mule.
I am very pleased that Sweet Briar College has endured and now appears to be thriving once again as a result of her commitment to innovation within tradition.
That looks absolutely delicious!
My mom loved this dessert. My sister makes it too. Thanks for making it.
The shows are wonderful!
I am so glad you are doing these videos. It's like coming home! Thank you
my grandmother used to make this..we called it frozen fruit salad..yummmm
I love your quarantine cooking videos! Thanks for keeping us entertained.
Fold it... fold it... FOLD IT! Stop stirring and start folding, Bubbles. 😃💜
Oh, yummylicious!!! I loooooove Wardolf salad! I've never had the frozen version, but def. have to try. Love Bubbles idea of the muffin tin. I think those individual silicone cups would work perfectly, that way you can just take out how many you need. Thanks for all you do! God Bless you!!! ♡♡♡
That looks amazing! Definitely gonna make this one!!! Thanks for posting Miss Paula.
I just love love love watching you here on UA-cam. I hope you keep it going even after this quarantine.
My Mother made this when I was a small child and I remember I didn't like it.
I want to try it now myself, it sounds & looks so good. Thank you for sharing!!! ❤️
Perfect for a hot day, and we're getting plenty of hot days. We had homemade white bean soup, fried green tomatoes and zucchini, sliced cucumbers, sweetcorn, fresh cut pineapple, and cornbread the other night and it was wonderful. I love it when the garden starts producing! We have 28 tomatoe plants this year and they are loaded down.
I love watching your videos, thank you so much Paula!
I wait for these videos and watch for them to pop up. These are the best videos we can watch and I look forward to them so much. Thank you so much for being who you are and giving us such wonderful videos. I know I’m speaking for many when I say how much I love you, Paula! ⚡️💖⚡️
Thanks for doing this!
Yes, we are enjoying these at home videos!!
This is so fantastic and enjoyable to watch! This looks delicious! But nothing like a dear best friend. I’ve got 2 and this will be us when we get older; so fun! Thank you for this super sweet video! Please keep these coming!

@Woman of a certain age I feel the same way...wished I had known them ❤

Hearing about Golda made my eyes glisten. I'm going to look her up when I cross over 🌹

Thank you Paula. My Great Grandmother used to make this dish along with another in a jello mold. It was pale green. Brought back memories of childhood.
Paula love you and your cooking.
From one antique to another.💙🇺🇸💙🇺🇸💙
We like it chilled like soft serve not so much frozen it's really amazing and creamy. Nice. You making me hungry.
Hi Bubbles hi Paula. I love your videos. These are the best
We love you too...! a big ole hug from Texas !!!
Love your shows and your food!!!!
Love you Paula , thank you for the videos!
Hey Ms Paula and everyone. I sure enjoy watching and learning. I too use butter, mayo,(but I see u switched from Dukes to Hellman’s), and cook in oil...it all tastes much better. I do what u do...I don’t eat like that everyday and try to swim daily. Love u all ....bless u.
Is no one going to mention that random freezer drawer. I really need that in my kitchen
I know! Saw that last night watching the video! I bet it’s expensive!!!
I noticed it, really liked it. I wonder if the top drawer is a mini fridge - do you suppose that type of set up is to prep early for cooking later? (Chopping, measuring etc all the stuff that you'll need for cooking that evening - is what I mean.)
Love you and your lovely family! Great Food recipes💖
Love Bubbles! I'm so glad she's joined you in the kitchen ❤
