Thank you so much for making this video! My 90-year-old mother read an article in the Globe magazine and now think she’s sitting on a fortune of beanie babies. She was almost going to hire an appraiser for hundreds of dollars an hour. It’s heartbreaking to have to tell her that these aren’t really worth anything. But it’s so hard to convince someone of her generation that what she read in the globe magazine isn’t real. Thanks again for making and sharing this video!
How funny to see one of my sold listings in one of your videos! I can confirm the Ty Pluffies cat is legit and sells for good money, paid 99¢ for mine and it sold for $50
Rebel, this was great! I had a tote of beanie babies and went about researching them. I figured out very quickly with the SOLDS with only 1 bid and no seller feedback that a scam was afoot on so many of these. Thank you for all you do for the reseller community :)
Excellent video and topic. It's awesome to bust some myths. I did recently pick up a beanie for $10 that I think I can sell for $50. Time will tell, but if it turns out to be a total flop, my daughter really wants this stuffy (Canadians call them stuffies, lol) so it wouldn't be a total loss.
Thank you for this educational video! I found 2 Claude the Crab Beanie Babies last night that I was kicking myself for not buying because when I checked comps when I got home, saw there were MANY in the $100’s. After watching this I went back and looked at MANY more closely, ALL BOGUS.
That was a great video, I never thought about looking at the bid history. I normally just look at sold comps. And as a 90s kid, I was sad to see ty don't have much of a resell. So I just kept mine and gave them to my kids. When I was a kid my mom had gotten so mad when I took the paper tags off, because she thought they would have a resell value. Thank you for the research ❤️
A zero-feedback person can be a new seller and not a scammer. A buddy of mine has a storage full of beanie babies, some rare. I have been trying to convince him to sell a few of the valuable items online. Until he establishes himself, he will have very few reviews, but he is certainly no scammer. All sellers start with zero reviews.
Thank you for this. I’ve been trying to inform people of this for a little over a year now. I just saw a Netflix series called “King of Collectibles” where they hilariously appraise a collection of beanie babies worth max $100 for $7000. It’s a shame the show didn’t do their due diligence and ended up embarrassing themselves.
The information is there if you take the time to learn. Too many are after a quick buck and get hurt emotionally and financially. Thanks for all you're doing!
Very important info for everyone who collects anything, not just beanies. Also, research values under " completed listings" not just " sold". Completed shows everything thats ended, whether it sold ( prices in green) or didnt sell ( prices in black) If you see a ton ofvsomething selling for a low price, but an occassional super high price..... more than likely those crazy high prices are fradulent.
Thanks so much for the heads up! I found a box of Ty from McDonald’s that I had stored. One comp sold was $2400, got kind of excited. My friend Jenna sent me this video. I’ll research now.
My husband picked up a bunch of beanie babies for free. This is the problem l found when looking them up. Then I thought I need to see what Rebel has to say about these. The exact information I needed. Thanks so much.
Oh Rebel, I wish I would have seen this on Wednesday. I was bidding in online estate auction and they had about 30 listings of lots of 10 beanies babies per listing. I thought I knew better but then I saw what I thought surly must be rare ones, i spent around $337 after fees and I won 120 loose beanie babies all with tags on. I won 30 collectible smaller Beanie Babies on cards. I figure I spent about $2.95 per Beanie Baby when it was all said and done. I picked them up yesterday and I have many duplicates. I have 3 of the Princess Diana, 2 lambs, 1 Red Bull, cats, a bunch of dogs, 2 snakes & 2 ladybugs, a bunch of lizards, 5 Valentine bears, about 10 st. Patrick’s Day bears, about 6 Christmas characters, 2 ghosts, 1 spider. 2 Jack-o-lanterns, 6 uSA characters, fish and other sea creatures, the list goes on. I think I can at least make money back. I did have high hopes though. I should have known better!
I went to an estate sale where a man who had passed away had an entire room filled with beanies. I found it heartbreaking. He thought he would live to see his investment worth something and it never happened.
Awesome video! My youngest has had that Pluffie puppy since she was a baby. It was her number one childhood toy. If she had ever lost it, we might would've been willing to pay that $129 price.
Great, informative video! I will have to say - as an eBay seller (and buyer): The high numerical value of the feedback score and a high positive feedback rating percentage (99%+) are great indicators of a reliable seller. Many high-dollar items don't sell on the first auction try, so relisting is not a reliable indicator of negative seller activity. Also, if the ended auction listing can no longer be found, it is almost always because the end date is more than 6 months ago and the eBay backlog has purged it. If an auction finishes with a legitimate winning bid, it will show ended/won with the amount. If an auction is "taken down" or unlisted by eBay, it will show as unsold or won't be viewable at all. I hope this helps!
Thanks Rebel! I haven't been giving a second look to ANY TY thinking none of them were worth listing! Now I know that certain ones are! Appreciate the time you spend helping us out :-)
I'm so glad I found this newer video on the topic. I haven't collected them fanatically, but I do have quite a few that I wanted to have to give to my grandkids down the line, but a few weeks ago my daughter texted me and told me she was out yard-saleing with her 4 year old. My grandchild wanted a beanie out of a bin of stuffed toys and my daughter bought it for a dollar. It was a Millennial bear, and when they got home My daughter looked at it closer and Millennial was spelled incorrectly. They looked it up and this was apparently a reported limited error version. They saw others listed on eBay but the 4 year old firmly claims it as hers. As her Mema, I'm taking her side!!
Many of the beanies that have errors are still not worth very much. Definitely check the solds and use the strategies I showed in this video to make sure they're legit sales.
I was thinking of putting my set of 77 Ty’s given to owners of franchisee’s I’ve never sold on eBay. By her telling viewers that if there is no reviews then it is fake. I wouldn’t ever sell them unless I got what I’m expecting to get. The cardboard case fell apart. They are from the time that we were crazy busy and they were a gift from Ty for our incredible sells.
Just found you because I just received a tub full of Ty Bennie’s and don’t know where to start. There might be a houndred in mint condition. Cataloging then might be the first thing to do. Anyway Thanks for your information
awesome helpful video! I just wonder why do they do this? Go through all this trouble of creating a fake listing and fake accounts and having a fake bidding war? Are they just hoping some poor sucker will get caught up in the moment and overpay for it?
I do have Maple in package with mistake, pelican with ! spaced out, McDonald ones in package, Orca with wrong name.. many of the dogs too! Never used & perfect shape.
I have most ever original beenie babies in perfect condition an I have multiples I am looking to sale an don't know where to start can you please help me??
I will be willing to cut you in an even split profit with you if you can sale the ones I have an believe me I have good ones in great shape so please help me

Hello on my hubbys account -I’m still going thru all your videos when I get time rebel - I will never have a beanie worth money my youngest who is 8 has had a thing for tags since she was little won’t have a tag on anything lol. Also watch out for high sales when it’s over because people like to send out info asking you to ship it to a different location- saying it’s a gift etc. always verify. My husband just sold something the other day (high dollar) and right away after it ended he received a scam text. Always double check everything have a great day
I wish eBay would remove those those fake listings and solds. This was a great video! I happened to find a blue bear in Jammie’s this past weekend at a rummage sale. Needs a good washing I will let you know how he sells.
We have several Ty beanie babies my wife's grandmother collected over the years and kept in mint condition. How can we know what they're actually worth so we're not asking too much or getting ripped off? We think we have several that we think could be rare and worth a lot of money and we want to sell them.
My 80 year old mother and I just pulled out her 6 tubs full of beanie babies that she has been collecting and saving. She has 100s of them. She even has the larger ones matching the smaller ones. All of them were never played with, tags on, even the plastic sleeve on tag still in tact. Many of the rare ones she has in pristine condition. Where should we try to sell these? Would ours be considered legitimate? I am confused as to how people could NOT have legitimate ones.
Most beanie babies are only worth a few dollars. The Princess Diana one that people often think is worth a lot of money can be bought for less than $10. You'll see that some have supposedly sold for $10,000 on eBay, but nobody is really paying that much if it can be bought for less than $10.
I have a mint condition polyethylene is this thing worth nothing it’s got the tag. It’s got the plastic around the tag it’s in the box. Is it worth even selling?
thanks for the great info :) doesn't eBay collect listing and selling fees for these bogus listings? But don't you dare use Velcro or Jacuzzi in your titles or they'll take your listing taken down within minutes! lol Wish they would crack down on these fake accts. and leave us be
Hi! I'm new to watching. I enjoyed the information. Thank you. Also, I have a poster that is designed for displaying beanie babies that is also from ty. I haven't found any info about this poster. Or any clue to its value. Perhaps you can help me out? I appreciate your knowledge on these. Thank you again! 😉👍♥️
I have thousands of these beanie babies and I've been trying to market them for years and I don't know what to do with them I have rare ones retired ones rare errors ect
I have a ton of beanies that I inherited and want to sell . I have several McDonald bears still in package. And a few in plastic boxes di bear and I have a very rare Iggy iguana that is missing the spine
Great video. May i ask if you may be interested in some of my personal collector rare beanie babies? Or where you would suggest is the best place to sell them to get the most value out of my beanie babies as possible? I have some great collector ones like a princess diana bear, iggy the iguana, some of the mcdonalds collector ones, and some other rare original models. I could provide pictures or anything you require if you may be interested.
Most beanie babies don't sell for much money. A lot of the sold listings on eBay are not real sales. Maybe look for collector's groups online or sell them in lots on eBay.
I am someone that is trying to help my sister sell a few legit PVC pellets and a error beanie baby’s that she’s held onto for so many years. I never really sold anything on eBay and she hasn’t neither and want to open an account. We found out that a good amount of her collection can go for a lot. But after watching your video I feel like there won’t be a chance even if we try selling them for a low price to be fair. Even if we’re legit sellers we won’t have a chance because we need seller reviews.
There are very few beanies that are worth more than $100 and most are worth less than $10. As a new seller, you are going to have listing limits so I would not list things that might never sell, like the beanies. Focus on selling items that have a quick sell through rate so you can build your feedback.
I have so many of these being babies even the rare ones if that guy sold if anybody has any idea of how I could get rid of them or a place to list them or can sign them I would be happy to do so
The 129$ jumbo Pluffies dog that you mentioned was not a legit sale was my listing, and was paid for with no issues. Feel free to contact further if you'd like more information about it, not sure why it came across as illegitimate on your end. Just want everyone to know that "Big Whiffer" is actually worth quite a bit, compared to small Whiffer, so don't leave him behind if you see him.
@@TheRebelReseller Yep, I pick up all Pluffies, so I have a couple small Whiffers left, but large Whiffer is about 12" to 14" rather than 8." Several Pluffies come in jumbo sizes, like the gray elephant as well, and can go for twice as much as the standard size!
I looked at sold comps on eBay. They are selling in the package for $5 or so. 120 have sold in the past 90 days and there are currently 5,800 active listings. It will likely take a long time to sell, even at $5. -Robert
Hi. Im new to the world of selling anything on ebay. Are you saying that i have no chance and my listings would be looked upon as fraudulent just because im starting anew?
I have a whole bunch of beanie babies from the 90s hanging around the house. Most are in pretty good condition. I know for a fact I have the tie dyed bear. Are they really worth any money?
So… I DO have the original TY babies & want to sell them. How do I sell them? I have some with mistakes too! Can you help me? I don’t want to get ripped off.
I would put them in lots. It's tough to do research on them because there are so many fake solds. Some do sell for decent money. I would try to do some research on them but most are not worth much. I have a small tote of them and have decided I am going to put one in my purse and start handing them out to kids when I am out. Kids still love them because they are small.
This is why I made the video. Too many people were falling prey to the hype.
Always amazes me ebay can Vero in hours but can't fix all these bogus sellers. Great video!
eBay doesn't stop it because they get a share of the money that's laundered
Thank you for talking about this. Crazy how strict THEY are on some things yet all these fake listings remain🤔
I was always skeptical about those big prices ! I thought they might buy them themselves to fool us. And now you made it clear ! Thank you Rebel !
Glad I could help! Thanks!
I am amazed of the time you give to other resellers to give us much needed information to help us be better at our own reselling. Thank you so much.
How funny to see one of my sold listings in one of your videos! I can confirm the Ty Pluffies cat is legit and sells for good money, paid 99¢ for mine and it sold for $50
Same here, saw one of my solds in a different Rebel video! Kinda cool surprise lol
I love when this happens. Pluffies are my favorite Ty!
Rebel, this was great! I had a tote of beanie babies and went about researching them. I figured out very quickly with the SOLDS with only 1 bid and no seller feedback that a scam was afoot on so many of these. Thank you for all you do for the reseller community :)

Glad I could help! Thanks!

Too many stories like these unfortunately.

Appreciate this video. I just recently received some beanies 😊
This was very helpful, now I can take my grandmas totes full and lot them up and make more money and less time researching them all 😅
As an ebay buyer and seller I do not do any dealings with zero accounts.
Thanks so much for all of your hard work. You help so many.
I’m glad I found this but I’m nervous as a first time seller with no feedback wanting to sell my late mothers Ty beanie collection.

Hi Rebel, great video! This one was really important as Ty is so hard to price in general!
Thank you Rebel!! I have been waiting on this one...
Really appreciate all the good info you give! Thanks for all you do!!!!
Great information and thanks for doing all the research for those of us who have tons of beanie babies.
Great job Rebel
Thanks Rebel! A whole bunch of wonderful useful information!
Great information really appreciate your insight
awesome helpful video! I just wonder why do they do this? Go through all this trouble of creating a fake listing and fake accounts and having a fake bidding war? Are they just hoping some poor sucker will get caught up in the moment and overpay for it?
I have no idea but that sounds like something someone would try.
Really good video, Rebel! I still like the little ones but the pluffies I learned about from YOU! Thanks!
I still pick up beanies too!
Thank you! I knew these were fake but I didn't know what to look for. This was great.
You're welcome!
Rebel thanks for your informative video and information.
Very helpful video! With the few TY Beanie I've listed I put as much information as possible in the description to let people know what to look for.
I have an Echo beanie babies with Waves tags.
And Waves with Echos tags
Another good one, thanks Dani🎃🎃🎃
Thanks for your video Rebel!
Very informative. Thanks for covering this.
Thank you for this! Excellent video, as always.
I do have Maple in package with mistake, pelican with ! spaced out, McDonald ones in package, Orca with wrong name.. many of the dogs too! Never used & perfect shape.
Thanks Rebel. I didn't think they were worth as much as you've sold some for. If I get 10 to 20 dollars on most Ty I would be happy!!
Me too! Love selling plush for $10 and up.
I have most ever original beenie babies in perfect condition an I have multiples I am looking to sale an don't know where to start can you please help me??
I will be willing to cut you in an even split profit with you if you can sale the ones I have an believe me I have good ones in great shape so please help me
Most beanies are not worth much. I would make lots and try to sell them that way.
Thank you for the great information....
Thanks for the tips!!
Great video, Rebel!
I swear the universe knew I needed this video. Just bought a TY Beanie for $1 at goodwill. Got home and looked it up and it's curly the bear with a bunch of errors on the tags. 🤦🏽♂️ I got excited thinking it may be worth a bunch.
Sorry! Funny how the universe works.

Sorry about the lines🤦🏼♀
Fingers crossed, no issues. I agree, never change an address. Cancel and let them repurchase. If it is a scam, they won't rebuy it.
I wish eBay would remove those those fake listings and solds. This was a great video! I happened to find a blue bear in Jammie’s this past weekend at a rummage sale. Needs a good washing I will let you know how he sells.
Nice, I love those bears!
This taught me a lot thank you
Wonderful content! Thank you!
Thank you. Good show
Glad you enjoyed it
This was so informative! Thank you!
You're so welcome!
I sold a Diana beanie & buddy for 41.00.
Thanks for the info.
I picked up the Frogbaby because of you a few months ago and it sold for $30. Thanks Rebel!
Thank you for this
We have several Ty beanie babies my wife's grandmother collected over the years and kept in mint condition. How can we know what they're actually worth so we're not asking too much or getting ripped off? We think we have several that we think could be rare and worth a lot of money and we want to sell them.
thank you veeeeery much
Thank you for sharing💕💕💕
No problem 😊
What’s Jake the duck worth I have two in pretty good condition with the tags
Great video
My 80 year old mother and I just pulled out her 6 tubs full of beanie babies that she has been collecting and saving. She has 100s of them. She even has the larger ones matching the smaller ones. Ebay doesn't collect fees until the item is paid for which these were not.

Just want everyone to know that "Big Whiffer" is actually worth quite a bit, compared to small Whiffer, so don't leave him behind if you see him.
Well dang! Did you have another whiffer listed. I think I saw it and didn't double check that it was a different one. That was a nice sale!
Can you make a video of the valuable ones please
There are so many fake sales that it would be very tedious to sort through. I focus on pluffies and pillow pals when sourcing Ty.
Great video! What do people get out of doing all of these fake sales?
I haven't figured it out either.
@@TheRebelReseller so weird!
I have a Ty Britannia the bear in package unopened how much do you think it’s worth
I looked at sold comps on eBay. They are selling in the package for $5 or so. 120 have sold in the past 90 days and there are currently 5,800 active listings. It will likely take a long time to sell, even at $5.

What if you have a brand new account and want to sell your rare beanie babies…? Then your not going to have any seller feedback
If they were actually that valuable, then a lot of long-time sellers would be selling them and they would show on Terapeak as legitimate sales.
Hi. Im new to the world of selling anything on ebay. Are you saying that i have no chance and my listings would be looked upon as fraudulent just because im starting anew?
It's best to start out selling things that will sell quickly to build up your feedback.
I have a whole bunch of beanie babies from the 90s hanging around the house. Most are in pretty good condition. I know for a fact I have the tie dyed bear. Are they really worth any money?
Unfortunately, not.
So… I DO have the original TY babies & want to sell them. How do I sell them? I have some with mistakes too! Can you help me? I don’t want to get ripped off.
Most of these plush are not worth what you see on eBay.
Can you tell me what you think Claude the crab i think he’s 4th generation is worth so i know how much to sale it for?
Most beanie babies are worth no more than a few dollars. In my video, I explain how to check sold comps to see what they're worth.
Thank you and thank you for the video it helped a lot.
Are those reasonable prices? Do people actually get anywhere near 50 for the Princess Diana?
No, most beanies are worth a few dollars only.
I actually have the princess Diana listed and it hasn't even gotten a view..💜
How do you recommend I sell my mom’s collection? She passed away a few year’s ago and I have them in a closet.
