    Whoever figured out the tonal/ musical challenge deserves a national monument & a parade ! I think the secret ending runs with the theme of the game, that there's always something beyond the threshold. Probably just a fun nod. Great video!

    Hmmm, it seems like there were 6 creatures, and I'm pretty sure there are 6 total codes to input for the secret ending, so presumably each beacon called out to a specific god-bug each?
    And I'm willing to believe the protagonist was mostly just surprised. It might not even be a bad suprise either - maybe they're just amazed to finally have other peers to communicate with?

    • @pixelpondering
      @pixelpondering  11 місяців тому +11

      I hope that it was a surprise and that they will take their place to create a universe even larger than their own. Perhaps these are creatures that they haven't seen in a long time and didn't expect to see, but they will work together once they all connect.

    • @Tonaram
      @Tonaram 11 місяців тому +3

      my interpretation of the normal ending was that the MC eats/destroys its universe, so here I see that the other creatures are just bringing them more food.
      At least in the secret ending you can see that the universe from the normal ending is not there anymore.

    • @pixelpondering
      @pixelpondering  11 місяців тому +4

      @Tonaram I actually wondered if the universe was still there, it was so dark in that little shell. But I just figured maybe it was because of being shown from a distance. If the creature did eat the world, well that's dark too...but in a whole different way 😅

      You can simply load into all specific parts of the game after you finished it once, so it wouldn't be too hard once somebody has figured it out. But still I think it's better when these things arent achievement related, but stay true secrets

    • @Siniquitous
      @Siniquitous 9 місяців тому

      I'll admit that the secrets are ridiculously obscure (which some might argue makes it worthwhile to solve it yourself) but at least if you want to and know where the areas of the game the codes are located, it shouldn't take too much extra time to polish off these secrets to get the ending. (took me about 15 mins to jump around and gather the codes)

    I think that the reason behind all of this is simple as instincts versus cooperation(mind if you will). Resonanse is a form of communication which is very antagonistic to egoism. And egoism formed mostly by instincts. Aslo the thing that it's all done by community is a large plus to this theory. "To bring the pieces back together, rediscover communication" but... i'm also think that there is no answer for this at all. The main reason behind this game and art is actually communication. Let people talk and get heared by others... bring more empathy to this world.

      I will admit, for the amount of work and brain power that it took players working as a GROUP to put together, you would think the secret ending would be much more profound or, at least, add more clarity.

      its just a secret ending, it doesn't even give you an achievement so its not for completionism, its useless, you can just not do it.

    I just beat this game, and I really wanted to like it more, but ugh. The art design is so random. I know they were probably trying to make the game seem really alien, but it just feels like they threw stuff at the wall, and whatever stuck went into the game. I considered for mere seconds if I wanted to go through and try to get the secret ending before just looking it up, and I'm glad I didn't waste my time. I hated Limbo, freaking loved Inside, and am on the fence about this one. Hopefully their next one is a banger.

    • @pixelpondering
      @pixelpondering  7 місяців тому +3

      I agree that the secret ending was not worth the effort. I enjoyed the art style but I agree that it wasn't necessarily cohesive at all times. It actually made some parts difficult to navigate.
      I'm curious why you hated Limbo. I know when people love Inside, they usually also love Limbo too

    • @TheBluemindedGod
      @TheBluemindedGod 7 місяців тому +1

      I just never really liked the silhouette look, too little story, and the puzzles just seemed more annoying. I think I went into expecting more, because of it's acclaim. I loved EVERYTHING about Inside though. I'm a sucker for secret government lab stuff. The puzzles made me feel really clever, and there was much more variety. @@pixelpondering

    • @pixelpondering
      @pixelpondering  7 місяців тому

      @@TheBluemindedGod I do think the silhouette look is not something everyone is into. I was honestly surprised as many people loved it as they did. Inside definitely had a lot more intriguing visuals...especially the further you approached the end. Things took a lot more planning and stealth, that's for sure.

      Seemed to me like every world had a fairly cohesive visual aesthetic / theme. I absolutely loved the visuals. The art design blows away anything from recent memory in how interesting and original it is.
