- Continuing from my Sydney to Seoul sector, I have flown Seoul to New York-JFK on Asiana's (아시아나항공) spectacular A350-900, which is only about a year or two old. I was continuing on from Sydney to Seoul (video link below) and stopped over for 15 hours. One of the best things about the A350 was how refreshing and comfortable the cabin was, and how I managed to sleep 14 hours on a flight. It's pretty good, maybe you should try it too.
I also reviewed the Asiana Business lounge, so have a check up on that. It feels a lot more refreshing compared to the older versions of the lounge, meaning that the renewal was worthwhile. The ambience was great, however the food was okay. Nothing special to write home about.
Overall I'd recommend this airline for their cheap price tag and very good service. It's not the very top, but it's still competitive (5 star level).

Good video mate, A350 is a great aircraft, lounge food looked average however, but i am envious of you going to my favourite city New York!
@@stevenholmes4395 excellent trip report and if I were you I would have gone for the Korean option if I remember correctly they might have nameyon or Bulgogi for either Asiana Airlines and Korean Air

You can go to the lounge even your flying economy?
I love Asiana. My first flight in my life was with them on OZ722. Although, it got delayed for 2 hours, it was amazing. It was on a B747-400. And that’s where my aviation obsession started. :)

Lovely video. I really surprised that they served Western meal with gochujang and kimchi, making the meal turned to be very fusion. Great job Asiana
I'm actually very surprised they gave gochujang to begin with. That sauce was the opportunity to spice it up. :D

I fly Asiana all the time. Last time I went was like 4 years ago 😣😪 on their 747.
That's getting phased out though, soon it will be replaced with A350s

You can choose your seat from when you book the flight, up to 3 hours before departure
I’m currently checking oz221 and oz222, and it states that the aircraft on both flights are the Airbus A380, is it some error?
Nah because during the northern summer period they deploy a380s because of increased seasonal demand. When it hits October/November then it'll revert to the a350 because less people and the a350 is a more efficient aircraft compared to that of the b777-200er

I booked when it was an a380 they switched it with no notification to the a350. Plus they moved my gf and I away from each other. Not a good start. Had to call to switch the seats was pissed they didnt have the honeymoon seats we orginally booked
Are all the arm rest foldable on Asiana airlines?
Technically not foldable but you can move them up and down

That was not Jamaica Bay that was Beach Channel and Far Rockaway okay that was not Jamaica Bay okay that was Beast Channel in Far Rockaway I'm a real New Yorker and I know my way around even from the air I seen some people that took off on Korean Air One time they said it was New York New Jersey they made to turn over the ocean into the beach and that was Rockaway Beach so I guess your people don't know what is New York but it's okay I understand
