Its Thursday afternoon, not a day that I usually shop at my favorite Goodwill at Rainbow and Cheyenne, here in Las Vegas. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, and there was a bit of a crowd but the shelves were stocked full of treasures that flowed into my cart! I have my Thrifting Vegas Blanket and my reuseable shopping bags ready, so Thrift with me and learn what to bolo and what to leave on the shelf, and why. Hi Tiffany just wanted to let you know on your battery operated items I have learned even if they are corroded you can fix them with a simple Emery board alcohol and maybe an exacto knife you just scrape the metal clean and the spring can be cleaned with the emery board you just run it between and make sure that all the metal has the corrosion off of it I have repaired many mechanical toys that way❤
I've had great luck with nail polish remover on Q-Tips that I take some of the "cotton" off of first. Works every time.

This is Grandma from Texas. Tiffany you can put some wood putty in the wood server sand with 220 or higher. Then do your usual oiling. Well worth the effort for such a lovely piece

The crystal unicorn probably glows. It's usually the high clarity clear glass that will glow green or yellow. Even newer glass that is clear will glow blue.

Oh I love the Asian vases
Ooh, for $1.99, I’d have grabbed in a flash the golden yellow ceramic deviled egg plate with the basket weave pattern. They’re typically a vintage set made in Japan and had a pair of chicken salt and pepper shakers that sat in the two circles at the center of the plate. If not elsewhere on the shelves, the shakers usually can be found online for a few dollars to complete the set.

When you picked up the tall (white with blue) utensil holder
there was a sugar cube bowl (pink flower with gray & silver on lid) that my grandma had back in the 70's and used for MANY yrs. What a great throw back memory! The vintage beads are BEAUTIFUL. 💜

Yes, I was kind of saying the same thing. KEEP IT! Red glass is beautiful, someone may be missing just the creamer, and hey, the sugar bowl could show up next time into the shop. Ah well...

I believe the crystal horse is RCR, Royal Crystal Rock. Made in Italy.

Fenton was made about two miles from where I grew up

The Fostoria horse turned lavender from extended exposure to the sun. The glass was made with manganese dioxide and the sun turns it a purple color.

You have such wonderful Goodwill stores, it makes me sad. I went to our local Goodwill for our senior day (20% discount). There was almost no Halloween things and what was there was very poor. Those that were there were more interested in being on their phone and clogging the aisles than actually shopping. I have had better luck on the regular days.

you can use a crystal emery board to smooth out chipped glass.

Apparently Ebay no longer allows listings of uranium glass. After speaking with two ebay representatives, they have confirmed that they will be removing all listings of uranium glass from Ebay.
I just went to eBay and there's plenty of uranium glass listed...
