Been there, felt that, very true. I realized I was denying my own happiness to make her happy. It took 16 years to accept the truth, and the truth us you can't bring happiness to someone who is unhappy with themselves.

In 1989, I prayed & asked God to pick my future wife, because He knows me better than I know me. I asked Him to give mee patience while I waited. 19 months later, He brought to her. When I saw her, He spoke to me & said, "this is whom I've chosen for you" 30yrs later, we're STILL best friends.

I love the Lord. And I love listening to Billy Graham. I married very young, we were both 21. I came from a decent family. I met this young man we fell in love. He grew up in the ghetto, he had nothing, no-one had ever taught him anything, how to drive, how to apply for a job, and did not teach him about the Lord. I taught him how to drive, he got his CDL license, and although it has taken time he now knows the Lord. He has been baptized. He is a wonderful man. When I gave birth to our children he stood by my side and never sat down the 1st child took 8+ hours he fed me ice chips. He is a wonderful man. We have 2 children, we will be married 28 years this Summer.

@@kelvingoni6836 You are correct. There have definitely been some trying times. I agree with Billy Graham. I was young and did stuff without much thought, my situation is an unusual one. But here we are. People have to want to change.
I just remember that very early on I said you should get an application at Taco Bell. He said, "What's an application"? We are blessed and I am thankful day & night. Things haven't been perfect we've struggled. There is so much to live & learn.
He told me stories of the ghetto. What do you do if you are hungry and know no other way of life than street life? No wonder so many get stuck in that life, in that cycle & it's sad. Boy could I tell you some stories he's told me.
He should go to schools and be a motivational speaker.
