I can't think of a more greater accomplishment than that!! RIP ❤️
As a critically ill adolescent, I too was fortunate to see and hear Rev. Billy Graham preach at a crusade in person twice in one week in Sacramento 1995. Grateful to have the crusade team prayer for me throughout the years.
I remember as a 13 year old in '67 watching his summer crusades. Then one evening when he gave an invitation to accept Jesus - I did. From that point on, I can see his hand on me even when I suffered a stroke just as I returned stateside from serving in Iraq with the Army. As I laid in the ambulance, I asked God what could I learn from this experience to help the next guy. I heard "Nothing more will happen to you." Then the driver asked my attendant "Slow or fast?" The attendant replied "Slow. I think we're good." THAT was my conformation! I have no debilitating effects from my stroke. Praise God!
People don't realize how God will preform miracles, if you ask. I have seen many in my life. Every day God is doing things for you and me. Praise his mighty power.

Carson was a major financial supporter over the years of the James Randi Educational Foundation and regularly featured skeptic James Randi, who exposed several televangelists on the show. Randi treasures a letter from Carson in which he quoted the philosopher Francis Bacon's admonition that "a credulous man is a deceiver." Quiet and reclusive in his private life, he preferred to avoid public events and interviews but occasionally engaged in them. "In my living room I would argue for liberalization of abortion laws, divorce laws, and there are times when I would like to express a view on the air. I would love to have taken on Billy Graham. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. His life, imputed within, is one of the many things that takes place in the life of a Christian the moment he trusts in Christ as Saviour. He is taken out of Adam and placed IN Christ. What an incredible contrast there is between the first earthly man - Adam and the second heavenly Man - the Lord Jesus Christ.
All that are born IN Adam are dead in their trespasses and sin, estranged from God and without hope in the world. But in His grace God sent His only begotten Son as the one and only sin-substitute for the entire race of fallen humanity. Amen baby!. Not like Osteen whom shyed away on a Larry King question.
🙄
Reminds me of seeing Kanye West talking to Jimmy Kimmel around the time he released his Jesus Is King album. Obviously they have very different styles, but the boldness is similar.
This is great. An evangelist using the Tonight show to spread the gospel.
Sadly, I don’t see something like this ever taking place again. Jesus is hated even more today
@@JayyVee41 wouldn't happen today, if Jesus was quoted on a late show it would be deemed as politically incorrect
@@hellasrockriffs6347 yep
A lier, con man and fraud who sought and won vast amounts of money and way too much political power. He was evil...now that evil lives on in his child.
@@JoeSmith-zv9my did you copy and paste this lie? You think you know me and where I work? Hahaha! You must be one of the clean brain clan.
Fantastic interview. I loved the way Billy explained things in an easy to understand way. Johnny did a fabulous job interviewing him.
Such a great interview ❤️ It'll be so rare to see respectful conversations like this on tonight shows 😑
The word Respect has disappeared , its all about Wokeism today and how to silence the truth !
VERY rare.
So nice to see the respect Johnny has for Rev.Graham. Can you even imagine a Stephen Colbert or Jimmy Kimmel interviewing a man of Billy Grahams stature without constantly injecting their snark into it?
I would not watch Colbert or Kimmel because they do not have an ounce of sense about anything they are filling thier pockets on bad news that they spread ! I hope they all get a little shot of humility .
I hear that Fox News's Greg Gutfeld is killing them in the ratings!
Colbert is a devout Christian, he would probably be snarky, but I'm sure that he would be respectful about it. You can have humor during serious conversation.
Colbert and Kimball are complete Satanist evil people they have no idea about truth they're bot and paid for they're not about any accountability any responsibility they are just scumbags
Nowadays, late night talk show hosts are vile, not entertaining or funny, and way too woke! 🥱
He has absolutely stood by his beliefs throughout his life. Much respect to him. Thanks to Johnny Carson for this clip.
Actually, he was more flawed than some. Do as I say, not as I do. Typical Evangelical.
@@dan_hitchman007 what are you referring to?
@@moodymoosecannon4986 He was a Machiavellian disguised as a man of God who had the ear of the powerful because he shamelessly stroked their egos, and then whispered some poison in their ears. Only President Truman saw right through Billy and called him a "counterfeit."
@@dan_hitchman007 what a miserable person you are
@@bobsheppard8773 No, I just don't lionize people who don't deserve the praise.
There is something so simple yet powerful about the way Billy Graham speaks. And that i guess emanates from his integrity.
I am always moved by
Billy's preaching. When I met his wife, Ruth, back in 1977 in front of her home it was a great moment for me and my friend Peggy. We were working at Ridgecrest Baptist Convention Center and decided to drive up to Montreat, NC to see their home. We were parked outside the big wooden gate and Ruth drove up in a blue Mercedes convertible. She had beautiful silver white hair and she said hello. I introduced myself and Peggy and told her we were working at Ridgecrest and she asked us to pray for Billy. We said we would and we did.
Then she drove into the gate of their home. Great moment in time!
I miss him so much. He was comforting. A absolute National treasure.
Perfect time to post this on Easter.
Hallelujah, Revive us again. Thine the glory.
We definitely could use another Billy Graham. Someone who can tell the truth without the hype
Praise Jesus Forevermore!

Really good both Billy Graham and Johnny Carson. One for preaching and other for receiving the preacher. I love them.
This man was a legit evangelist. Was there to be a guest, but didn’t hesitate to share the gospel in a personal way.
A kid from Nebraska. With a kid from North Carolina. They really did like each other. It's not forced.
It's called respect which we are now lacking
Actually Johnny was an atheist and he would have loved to have taken on Billy Graham that night but he wasn't permitted to.
That's actually information from a time magazine interview with Johnny Carson.
@@code-52 Too bad!
@@code-52 Not surprising. I can see in Johnny's body language that he was closed off and not receptive to what Billy was saying. Being a professional he didn't make it obvious with his words and attitude but he couldn't hide it in his body language.
@@LM-hb6yn Yes. I'm sure it was hard to sit and listen to that.
RIP Billy, enjoy your eternal home..
He sure genuinely preached the gospel
Wow! The respect/silence from all in attendance is stunning and makes me ache for a time when I was young. Society WAS better in the olden days.
I truly enjoyed this clip. I got a blessing from listening to this intelligent discussion about faith, religion and God.
Amazing man. He touched more people in this world than anyone I know. Hope the youth find him and learn.
I saw this episode live. Absolutely the most respectful I have ever seen Johnny. Dr. Graham was simply the most intelligent, interesting man I'd ever heard speak.
That is so great that you were blessed to be there!
@@carolbell8008 A brief moment in my life I'll never forget.

God Bless Billy Graham. You have made an enormous impact on humanity. Your commentary starting @ 13:10 is immeasurable
I never knew how much i like Johnny Carson !!!!!! I WILL ALWAYS LOVE HIM FOR THIS INTERVIEW. Late night talk shows are no good anymore.
