Holy shit you dead ass wrote the same comment on a different channel as well that's funny as hell. My man's been in PTSD over MH for the last 5 years and has made it his life mission to comment this on any video on modern.
Dude I really appreciate u taking to time out of your vacation to give some thoughts!! I admire your dedication to your craft because what u say is really smart and relevant!! Hope the rest of ur vacation is awesome!!
Rhinos and Living End were not the most dominant deck before the last banning. Nothing really changed other than that they banned Fury and Beanstalk. The new surveil lands improved Living End a little, but both they and Leyline of the Guildpact are brand new, so it's not like they somehow shifted the meta. So literally the only change is that Fury got banned and Rakdos dropped away. So is the pattern now that for every Banned & Restricted announcement we just find a card in the current best deck to ban so that deck dies?
So, I found a thread on reddit that answered this question. Apparently those are Homunculi from Esper that were influenced by the red and green of what I am assuming is the Jund shard after the shards collided during Conflux.
It didn't creep up until they create it that new leyline and that's when everyone started playing the five color version. Violent outburst was fine and banning it killed off two decks that people put their money into instead of just banning the new leyline.
My man just can't take a day off 😭 Very happy with this BNR, outburst was definitely an issue with FoN and frankly just sucked to play against at instant speed. Overall it seems like Mill gets to creep up a little in the rankings and now our biggest issue is Yawg. Looking forward to MH3 and the RCQ season!
Thank you Wizards, I've hated this card forever. Both living end and Rhinos were insane to have to deal with since they had free counter spell back up at all time. Easy ban and well deserved. I would to have seen some kind of unban as well but this is a good start to see before what monsters get unleased on us this june.
But Living End is so easy to shutdown...Chalice on 0 shuts down the casting of Living End. Graveyard hate completely shuts it down (Endurance is free if you evoke it, Leyline of the Void, Relic of Progenitus, Tormod's Crypt, Unlicensed Hearse etc..).
I stopped playing MTG back in late November early December ‘23… I’m almost finished reading the Holy Bible. I’ve spent an amazing amount of time with my family and I’m only here to spread this word. I played for 27 years. It was insanely painful quitting… but i did. I wasted an absolutely incredible amount of my life on this game. WASTED TIME I WILL NEVER GET BACK!!! My advice to you guys and girls out there, in love with this game, addicted to it, co-dependent upon it. LET IT GO!!! No one told me… So this is my attempt to help someone see reality. There is NOTHING for you at the end of your MTG journey. Nothing but LOST TIME and LOST MONEY! I wish you pilots out there good luck. Getting away from this game was the hardest thing i ever did… 27 years of my life focused upon garbage. Grab a book. Go outside. Climb a mountain. Go on a hike. Ride a bike. Make love to your partner. SAVE YOUR MONEY. But most of all… reclaim your life!!!! Time is all we have. Don’t waste another second on garbage.
Modern wont be the same at my lgs. Especially because a handful of people sold all their cards to the shop to get into other games like bg3. RIP modern
I'd say unban Tibalt's Trickery if you are going around banning the problematic cascade cards. That card was boosted because of cascade and is fine even with it.
Classic example of the baby blue players being the problem behind the problem but no one wants to talk about how blue always played off the back foot and as soon as another color using temporal mechanics players have q hissy fit it all comes down "you mean I lost the game with a counter in my hand and im blue wah wah😢" of course its ok to ice down a land and go off dress down 90 percent of other randdom win cons is fine 🙂 horrible banning seems more like 0 drop cards as big Dick entended them getting cheated is always the real issue
Apologies for the quality but heres my quick takes!
Hi mill guy
WotC "monitoring" orc bow master is them deciding to weigh and measure if they think they can keep selling more print runs of that set.
Violent Outburst is a fine ban. But its going to do very little in addressing modern's problems.

@@sas911 but he's right tho. modern is such sh!t full of degen unfair bs. More bans are good so more viable decks can exist again
@@sas911 Modern is awful. Other formats like legacy, pauper and premodern are so much better.
What exactly is moderns problem?
@reviewchan9806 Ooor do you just need to get good?

Time to build rakdos shadow to fight big mana hell with blood moon style effects

Ok, now that Violent Outburst has been banned can some someone please...
WHAT THE HELL KINDA SPECIES IS THAT ON THE CARD???

Albinaurics from Elden Ring maybe?
@@wacosta13 That card was originally printed in 2009, and as much as I would like to believe they predicted the future of gaming, I highly doubt it.
My pet deck does surprisingly well into Yawg, but I'm really not looking forward to fighting titan.
i saw someone joke about it earlier, but man it'd be funny if violent outburst was just replaced with the blue Leyline that gives stuff flash
I think Wizards is preparing us for modern horizons 3. Winter is comming....
Orb?
just take ur vacation if i'm being honest.

If Yawg is gonna creep up, maybe we need to look at banning that card. Amulet of Vigor probably also needs to go...too much free mana.
still no grief ban so this sucks

This also might lead to a resurgence in affinity beats
Im too far removed from the full Modern meta to make a meaningful comment about how this will shift said meta. But, I'm not sad to see VO get banned.
Rhinos is probably going to be tier 2, which is pretty much dead. Living End is completely unplayable now. Really bad ban.
Is this one of the best bans. You should be thinking about the health of the hobby and format as opposed to your personal pet decks
I fully agree!
incoming leyline of anticipation rhinos
Where does OG ponza fit with this B&R?
I thought someone got in trouble at a tournament or something. :P
They should have unbanned hypergenisis when banning outburst.
I'd say unban Tibalt's Trickery if you are going around banning the problematic cascade cards. That card was boosted because of cascade and is fine even with it.
@Xhadp agreed, dude.
the problem with tibalts trickery was never that its too strong, it just always lead to non-games@@Xhadp
But 1 Ring is fine despite being one of the worst experiences to play against…
The one ring is still safe. Wow!!! Trash card

I think you should be banned for making a video while on vacation like that's against all rules while taking a vacation.... but I don't mind this ban
