So I'm back.....with my baby! If you don't follow my IG you may not even know but yes I had my baby a few months ago & today we're talking about postpartum, some common (& not so common) changes!

I'm not pregnant or anything but totally related to the people texting me and not wanting to respond. I would feel upset that they reached out and then the thought of having to take on a conversation. Never called it anything but I guess it is anxiety lol.

Hey, the dryness of you hair could be due to the products you use. All the symptoms you're having are the symptoms that made me realize my hair doesn't like coconut oil anymore , my hair would shed , be dry , get matted, and my scalp would itch ! once I switched without coconut oil my hair felt normal again. our hair changes and something such as having a baby could be a big a reason for the change.

Very lovely video! I missed you . The last part about PPD is my biggest concern about ever being pregnant. I know i get very low, and have my moments, and I have anxiety really bad. i'm nervous for pregnancy to possibly amplify that, but like you said , there's resources available to help with that. Welcome back, and congrats on baby girl! ❤️

Congrats! She’s beautiful! Miss you’re tutorials. I’m a mom of three and I can attest to the fact that your hair changes with each pregnancy. I’m curls have loosened with every pregnancy and I’m a big shedder too and while pregnant it hardly shed. It’ll get better and just make time for you and your locks momma. Be safe 💕

Welcome back and welcome to Motherhood!!! Being a Mom is definitely hard! Like you said it’s not all glitz and glam. I struggled with so much in the beginning after having my son. Now, he’s almost 2 and I will say that it DOES get easier 💕
You are so right. It's not easy and it never gets easier but the levels do change so you can breathe a bit. You having help is a blessing so grasp it with both hands.
Your hair is not dry it's trying to level out. Your scalp was producing mega amounts of sebum. I think breastfeeding helped keep me from shedding and losing edges.
I found hot oil treatments helped a lot.oh and the length will shed off bcus during pregnancy the growing phase is turned on all the time. After delivery it goes into the off position and around the 3-6mo period your hair will shed like hella crazy.
As far as skin goes you gotta take those vits and take soaks in almond oil and use pure coco butter as your moisturizer. I had to learn this by trial and error.

Try a turmeric yogurt mask for the dark spots, twice a week, with a little honey for the dryness.
No, breastfeeding has NOTHING to do with your hair shedding. You're correct with it just being hormones regulating back.

Also I want to share that I kept taking my prenatals and then started taking Hair, Skin and Nails vitamins which actually have most of the same Vitamins as the prenatals.
I lost my edges like they felt bald, but they come back fast so don’t cry like I did 🤣 I also I take Seamoss gel which has a lot of minerals your body needs. I use all natural hair products, and flaxseed gel. My hair is now flourishing, and growing so much!

This was a great video, it’s hard being a new mom. When you said you’re a phenomenal mommy at the end I got a little teary eyed and my husband came by and said yes you are!
I want you to know the same you’re a phenomenal mom!! My son is 8 months now and my anxiety and low key depression has got a lot better. I have my days still but it’s beautiful to see the new things they begin to do and it makes you feel better. Children are the best blessing!

Awww, congrats! She's adorable! The hair struggle is real, I am STILL going through it and my baby is about to be 2. I retained my length with my daughter, but with my son it was SUPER dry and 6 months postpartum it started shedding like crazy (still trying to get my hair "back" from that experience). It's gets better though, enjoy the journey mama!
