How To Slice on Cricut Design Space and Illustrator Slice for Glowforge

- This week we’re really buzzing about our new project! We’ve created a creative, unique Bee themed door hanger! We’ve created a Welcome to Our Hive door hanger complete with bee hive and branch. We’re showing you multiple ways to make this project. We go over how to slice a large image in Cricut Design Space and we use Adobe Illustrator to slice an SVG for the Glowforge Basic or Plus. You can also purchase our kit, purchase the SVG file and make it using your Glowforge or use the SVG file to create this bright happy spring door hanger using your Cricut! Cute design!!! Kim and Garrett, I have a helpful tip for you when layering and placement. Use parchment paper and lay your vinyl on it with just a small amount hanging over the top of the parchment paper, then line it up on your project with the small amount of the design with the transfer tape raised up, then lay it down when you got your placement, then take the parchment paper off and lay the rest of the design down smoothing from the middle down and then the sides. Hopefully I explained it so that you can follow. : )
The parchment paper is a game changer; it’s so helpful when precision matters.
Mr Crafty Pants has some great videos on using parchment paper to help layer vinyl. Game changer!

If you put a piece of parchment paper behind the vinyl to lay it, you can see through it and then pull it out after you center it where you need it to lay 😁 that way it doesn't accidently stick if you drop it. And love the designs!! Good job as always!!

All for under $203 I believe it was $202 and change. Worked out great. That's what my hubby paid for the Joy. 🔆

@@KimandGarrettmakeit after reading all the disclosures I felt that Cricut should not own my brother's and my art. Cricut never explain mo/ annual membership fee. And by not being a member I feel if I purchase a product it is mine therefore, I should not have to pay for it over and over again. That being said there was a newsletter, media, etc on Cricut limited use by not being a member if you upload over 20 times (monthly) that has been cleared however, I no longer trust the company. I really was happy to own cricut maker until I read the disclosures... I'm looking for other options. Thanks for asking.

I have watched a mind-numbing number of tutorials, but it is difficult to find videos that cover all the steps for making creative products for my business. Would love some input from a site or anything that doesn't require months of online education. Thanks in advance!

The vinyl looks great! Since I do not have a glow forge, I vote for the vinyl! At least it has inspired me to layer the 651 vinyl.

Kim, try using parchment paper when placing your vinyl! You can see through it, but the vinyl doesn't stick
