- We asked our Mexican dads to taste and rank TACO BELL! 😂🌮
What will they think about this food?
We asked our Mexican papás to taste test and rank different Taco Bell menu items! Taco Bell has a massive menu and many things can be customized but the foods the dads tried today include Doritos locos tacos, crunchy taco, crunch wrap supreme, cheesy gordita crunch, Mexican pizza, mtn dew baja blast, cinnamon twist! What is your go to order at Taco Bell?
According to Wikipedia, Taco Bell "...restaurants serve a variety of Mexican-inspired foods, including tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, novelty and speciality items, and a variety of "value menu" items. As of 2018, Taco Bell serves over two billion customers each year, at 7,072 restaurants, more than 93 percent of which are owned and operated by independent franchisees and licensees.

Do you like Taco Bell? 😜
Doritos locos tacos rock 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi
Don’t judge me but yes I do!
Yes
yes and im craving it so bad.
I hear people claim others think Taco Bell is authentic Mexican food, but I've never heard anyone actually say that in real life 😂😂😂.
😂😂
I've heard it several times...it sounds funny the first time...then it's not 😅
Same! I’ve never heard anyone in my life say it’s like real Mexican food. We all know it’s just cheap fast food 😅
Exactly....Just like no one ever says Olive Garden is authentic Italian....but everybody always acts like people say its authentic
EXACTLY LMAO
I love that Vicente is always happy and always rates anything a 8 or 9 he just makes me smile. 😊
It really seemed like he took it for what it is, a fast food snack inspired by Mexican-American flavors, instead of comparing it 1-to-1 with Mexican cuisine
Vincente is absolutely one of those guys who is the funnest to talk to at parties, festivals, ect.
I loved the personalities and verbosity of all three, but Vicente (like with you) just makes me smile. Instant day brightener 😊
Vicente is the only one that actually reacts like a real Mexican. Mexicans are open minded to food. The other two seem Americanized and defensive about what a taco or pizza “should” taste like
Clearly he’s rating it on a Taco Bell scale and not against actual Mexican tacos. 😂
The dad that’s speaking Spanish with the glasses on just seems so sweet and pure. Bless him!
Right? I'm Mexican-American but can still appreaciate Taco Bell for what it is - americanized mexican-american food. It's good for what it is.
Vicente
"Weed is legal. People are high. And that's why they're buying it!" 🤣🤣🤣 I couldn't agree more with that very handsome gentleman. 😁
I really respect the guys who were able to consider that some items are good for what they are. Arturo was coming off kinda pretentious in a way, even if the topic is Taco Bell.
he always does
Arturo keeping it real. Taco Bell is not Mexican food so he’s calling it out.
They all said it wasn’t Mexican food. He was the only one who actively trying to not enjoy it for what it is.

I ain't calling Taco Bell real Mexican food, and I don't eat it often, but that "taco seasoning" taste hits the spot sometimes. They used to serve us "tostada bowls" in elementary school that was exactly what you expect - and no sour cream for kids I guess - but it was a lunch I loved when it was on the menu.
My mom got me hooked on the chalupas as a kid too. Weirdest bread ever but so satisfying. I guess its bc they aren't as salty. I'd still pick a chalupa over a burrito or crunchwrap supreme 🤷♀️

I used to work for a guy who would bring his cousin to L.A. from Mexico City to help us out a couple times a year. His first and last stop In L.A. was always Taco Bell, he loved it. "It's good, just don't call it Mexican food." He said.
I can't stand people who say they hate brand X just because it's brand X.
Why is the only guy who is speaking English hate Taco Bell so much more? LOL
That’s how it was for the Mexican moms and the Chinese moms too. The more “authentic” ones can appreciate food for what it is, whereas the “Americanized” people feel the need to compensate
Because he’s the most honest one
@@josereveles5137nope I think the other two are more honest. They know what authentic is. They’re just judging the food for what it is and saying how they feel about it. They don’t need to feel like they have to bash on it for not being “mexican” when no one ever claimed it was mexican.
Real Mexicans do eat Taco Bell if it’s nearby I’ve seen it a hundred times especially construction crews. When we’re hungry we say fuck it. Because as kids we were taught food is food and if you don’t like it well que te chinges.

Nah you high junkies gotta stop hitting up my taco bell ordering 12-24 tacos for one order at 4am. Taco bell isn't that good. How could you have done a video like this and not include Chalupas? That's the best thing at Taco Bell.
The bean burritos are the best thing IMO. They have been on the menu forever yet nobody ever reviews them.

just an fyi , tacobell never claimed to be authentic
I like Taco Bell food sometimes when I'm in the mood, but I don't bother to compare it to Mexican food because the two things are completely different.
I've never really critically thought about the name "Mexican pizza". I happen to really like that menu item. It's one of my favorite things. But it's also the only menu item that actually uses the word "Mexican" in the name. And it's not Mexican at all, is it? Just like most of their menu items are completely different from actual Mexican food. But at least the other items don't mention Mexico.
Every once in a while, Taco Bell takes the Mexican Pizza off of the menu. I want it to stay. Maybe they should change the name and remove Mexico from the equation, and then we can live in harmony. I particularly like it because most of Taco Bell's menu items are just different proportions of the same ingredients. Their Mexican Pizza is a little different. That's crucial.
taco pizza. problem solved ;)
@@pauleasley6488 Some people are just natural problem solvers.
The last time they took it off the menu, I googled how to make your own and have found a pretty close tasting one that I like more because I can control what goes on it. I just buy the bottles of fire sauce you can get at the store. I haven't been back to taco bell even though they recently brought it back. Lol. I also don't compare it to authentic Mexican food. They aren't even in the same category in my mind.
@@zoeye7095 I keep a bottle of Fire sauce at home, too. It's a more flavorful option than something like Tabasco. And with Huy Fong's sriracha being MIA for several months, you need _something._ It also blends really well with sour cream or in a homemade queso dip.
These Mexican Dads were cool. They've convinced me to go to my local Mexican spot today and get some tacos
Shout out to the man who gives every taco an 8. Taco Bell isn't authentic but it's more fun to eat with people who are enjoying their food.
I'm a Mexican, but I've never been close to a TacoBell, so I've never known how they taste like. Having said that, I find it quite logical that the classic TacoBell taco is the one they find better. The point of a taco is the simplicity, so it's quite natural they might find it nice enough, since it's the simple version.
I'm Mexican but live in the states and oh god, don't bother. As the one guy said you gotta be high. I used to eat the quesadillas when I was 16-18 and had my own money/car and it was 2 am. That's the only time I ever ate it and haven't for 15 years since. If I was forced to now, I'd get the potato one, it's just soo bad and this video pissed me off haha. I would have scored everything a 2, barely edible but good enough to keep you alive
This episode made me miss my grandpa Choforo. When he could still cook before he got sick, he'd always make a fresh batch of buñuelos for us to eat. We'd all fight to get them when they were still hot. 😢😢
Rest in piece

For me, taco bell isn’t about authenticity. Taco bell isn’t mexican food. It is slightly mexican inspired food. I know I can get better tacos almost anywhere. It is about getting something quick and cheap that isn’t a drive thru burger. If they made a carne asada taco with onion and cilantro, and a good red salsa on the side, it wouldn’t be taco bell, nor would it be as good as one I could get at any decent mexican restaurant for just a little bit more money. You get what you are expecting. The same 5-6 ingredients rearranged in a dozen different ways.

No one in my life has ever said, “Taco Bell is authentic Mexican food!” Taco Bell is just Taco Bell. You know what you’re getting yourself into.
When you look at a Taco Bell taco compared to what you see at actual Mexican restaurants or made from real Mexicans, you can tell the authenticity between fast food and the real thing. Taco Bell is still good, even though it's not really showing Mexican food justice.
