I was always nervous being the engine driver. My dad was an excellent pump operator. Friend of mine from neighbor dept told me they had a building fire and he couldn't get a draft. My dad came up to him and told him to "move kid" and he pumped the other dept.'s engine
Watching this had me thinking about a brother an good friend I served in the Corps with and after we mustered out talked me into moving to his parents ranching in Mountaina and joining the county wildfire crew and getting red card certified We did that for four seasons and worked SAR/Rescue and county Mutual Aid company off season. While remained in the fire service I went into the state OEM Critical Disaster/Mutual Aid Response team. When you guys were talking about dedication to the job my brother epitomized that sentiment. It's shity I can't pick up the phone and give him a call, lost him in the line of duty in 2021 during a structural fire that collapsed on him and his crew. Nice to see you guys keeping your brothers memory's alive.
