I have often thought that the remote controls should have a haptic feedback function...slightly vibrating the remote when a rock or pipe is encountered with the cutting wheel. Might be something to bring up with manufacturers.
My favorite part of the video is where u say "it's impossible there has never been a tree that size!!" Your voice is sooooo funny there. 😅
Thank you! 😊
I am currently enjoying all the TCI videos you did at each stump grinder manufacturer booth. Great job Adam. You asked all the questions that I would have. It was like I was there!😊
Adam, thank you for your raw and organic videos, I started watching like 2 years ago.
I also have a 67 fastback, keep posting your videos as they provide an encouragement to me.
Keep grinding.
Thanks my friend
I always enjoy watching your videos. I definitely geek out on stumps. 😊
Adam, thank you for your support and in-depth look at the new Vermeer SC1052 stump cutter. We appreciate your first-hand demo and comments!
No thank you guys for bringing it out to me and the time to learn what's new in the industry
If using that machine on a super sunny day i would want a huge umbrella attached for a sun shade. 😊
I dont think you would be on the stump very long
Loved your video on the shovel checker. Sooooooo true!!!
Great review! It’s a heck of a machine! I think the exhaust spins 120 degrees or so not 360. Enough to keep it off someone’s siding. I was really blown away by how much torque it produced at such a low RPM. Have a great week!
Great point!
Adam...you are the new test facility for stump grinder manufacturers!! Great work.amd great selection of tree for the test.
Thanks 👍
Nice looking machine. That's pretty cool you got to try it out and I bet your son loved it lol. Awesome looking shirt by the way. Can't wait to get one from you
Thanks 👍
Great video 👍. My set up is a 3025e John Deere 4 wheel drive tractor with a front end loader - Vermeer 630b with a 35 hp Kohler engine. Small and old grinder but it’s been one tough machine.
Thank you for the review
Nice 👍
Long time fan. Love that you said NZ as your random pick for a country. That's where I happen to live :)
LOL well what do you know thanks my friend and your entered
10:03 amen to keeping the manual controls because I keep seeing postings for guys who remote control units break or malfunction. I always want the manual controls for a backup, even on a remote controlled machine. I also feel like I have a better feel for how the machine is running with manual controls.
Good point about being able to see and hear what you're grinding. If you seea wire or a pipe, hopefully you can stop quick enough to not break something (we've had near misses a few times).
Well I see you get what I meant some don't
The backup controls on my remote machine are not fun. Had a problem with the wireless, and had to run wired. The wired remote is not progressive controls. Of course it happened on a job with a hundred small stumps trying to move a tracked machine around without tearing up the lawn. Real usable manual controls are definitely a bonus.
@@davidnation4437 Amen to that
Ever pulled a tree over with a stump grinder? This machine might be good for that.
Good video Adam! Can’t wait to get a shirt!
Awesome! Thank you!
I love your videos..very informative Adam
I appreciate that!
Super video Adam
I love the idea of having a huge stump grinder but for my business model, they are simply too big and expensive for me to purchase. I still love looking at them and would LOVE to test one or two of them out. 😊
I understand
Nice video thanks
Your in the drawing
Great video, Adam. I would look pretty sharp in a size large T-shirt!
your on the list
The 4.3 chev looks great but a hellcat in that puppy would be sweeeeet!
Nope an LS would be easier
Keep up the good work
Thanks, will do!
Interesting you spoke about the exhaust being able to change directions.... vinal siding definetly melts. Dont ask me how I know but i had to chuckle when u mentioned that.
Congratulation on having 12K subscribers.
Thank you so much 😀
Adam, great informative video about SC1052 and it’s inner workable bags. Chevy 4.3L is a proven motor
Yes it is a great engine
Well you won the shirt send info so I can mail it to mustangrebuilder@gmail.com
Let's keep going folks... comment comment comment... let's get this to 100 asap. 😊
Have you wver ground a stump in the snow? 4wheel drive certainly helps.
Yes
I would definitely want to have the dual wheels on that suckered...it would be a shame to flip it. Stay safe out there.
Nice shirt too, I’m in your mafia 😉
You have been part since the beginning
Hit the thumbs up for adam and the stump mafia!!
LOL
Lets gooooooooo and get to 💯
Great torture test. Machine looks awesome. Just a bit too expensive to really make it worth on 90% of the jobs.
On behalf of Vermeer Great Plains thank you for your support and review. We appreciate your partnership in the industry. Please reach out to Steven he has a gift from us to you!
Thanks again!
I would love it to have a vacuum ootion to help pick up the chip debris. 115hp should be enough to run a vacuum... lol.
This is the newest video I’ve seen of yours by I think 11 months or so. You lost weight, good for you buddy. 💪🏼
What’s the process for getting a shirt aswell?
Well you just entered and if you dont win dont sweat it because I will do it ever other week or every stump long video
I’ll prolly just get one from your store if that’s an option. But today was a beautiful day! Just waiting at a local hole in the wall for my fried mushrooms and tamales to get boxed up along with my ladies French dip so the destruction can commence. 🤤
Rise and grind with that new vermeer beast
I am also a manual controls guy, however i am now looking at buying a remote machine as my backup machine.
Go for it!
That Vermeer seemed way less worth it than a 2-4 year old SC30TX for $12k brother. Man, I’m sure it’s unbelievable but $1xx,xxx. My goodness.
I bought my 1st grinder in 1994 a tractor mount. In 2000 i got a Vermeer pull behind and traded up in 2006 i bought a Vermeer sc352(i still have that machine it’s a beast for its compact size) in 2015 i bought a Vermeer sc70tx and a Carlton ox. I only ran the Ox for about 2 years breakdowns and parts were terrible. I traded the Ox for a new sc852 the middle brother of this 1152, it got about 1100hrs on it now with zero repair dollars spent to date at 8y old not even a gear box seal. And the sc70tx is a great machine but that CAT diesel is junk! Would love to trade the sc70tx and my 852 for a new gas SC1152. Here in central East Tx i charge on avg about $3.80/inch. But if i can use the smaller sc 352 it’s about 3.25 per inch
Seems like most of them are from me
There’s not much better than a free t shirt. 👌🏼
Your in the running
Do you do your own accounting/bookkeeping or do u have someone who does it? That might be s good topic to do a video on for people just starting out.
Do all my own
5:40 the cutting system reminds me of the Lombardi cutting system. Not exactly but similar.
I thought the same thing
Great video Adam. I would like to replace my rg45 that got stolen with a nother 50hp wheeled machine. I really would like to demo the Vermeer 552 if my dealership had one too demo. The one thing I like about the Vermeer 552 which is similar to the 1052 is that it has a 25 inch cutting depth un like the bandit, Rayco, and Carlton are in the 15 inch cutting depth range.
Right on
Sometimes they let you put 10hrs on a machine
I really like Vermeer machines more than most others.
Since you’ve probably ran every machine and or also owned so many…If you could say this about any brand, is there one that is similar to Toyota/Honda in the automotive industry?
So is there any brand/s that seem to last longer/less with fewer/more (if any) issues even if maintenance isn’t the best/it’s always maintained like a clock?
Is there a brand/s that seem to hold their value more/less than any other brand too?
I hope this isn’t confusing. I started just wanting to see if any specific make was super trouble free or maintained value better but then i realized the converse would be even more interesting.
I have been a fan of Bandit and Vermeer but the EPA has made it tough for Diesel engines
You grind in oklahoma...has the wind ever been a problem while grinding?
Nope
Getting closer to 100 comments
Send me an email mustangrebuilder@gmail.com and you won a shirt
Question regarding repairability: does it look like you have easy access to anything that need to be fixed from time to time (belts, hoses, cylinders, filters, etc). I ask because (for example) our Rayco RG66 has 3 big hydraulic hoses that are the biggest pain in the butt to replace (insert favorite cuss words here). And a few other things that are a pain to repair too.
Looks like all front engine parts are easy and all hoses to cutter pump are there when you pull shield open
Do u like the smart sweep function? Or do u think it is a bit too automatic for a touchy feely grinder like yourself?
It works but I can feel machine just as good
I thought the power looked great for that depth in damp soil. The swing width looked narrow, but might have just been as wide as you needed to go on that part. I’ll check the specs.
I think the swing was 71 inch but with looking through the swingout window looks narrow
Did the cutting wheel stop rotation when your hands left the joysticks?
Yes it will
If u owned this machine would you consider switching to green teethnor keep the gen 2 wheel?
Not sure
I’m curious: which did you enjoy more? The bandit sg75 or the Vermeer sc1052? I recognize different class of machine, but curious.
I like the sg75 but it was remote
Great vid as always still prefer a diesel
Fair enough!
Can the dozer blade be used to help grind to a lower depth?
Yep
Instesd of the dozer blade it should have a snow blower attachment. Dual purpose, 115hp snowblower for snow or chips!!!😅
LOL
Size large for my shirt please...😊
LOL
Did u like the gen2 wheel? Ie changing teeth, and performance?
Only used it once
With the duals off will it fit through a 36in gate?
35 inches without duels
Did the wheel feel light or did it havre a lot of inertia to it?
Not light
What grinder is your son's favorite to operste?
The Bandit 2550
Is fuel your biggest expense or is there another?
Teeth and fuel
Well I guess anynway we get to 100 is aok
send me an email mustangrebuilder@gmail.com
