    Earlier this evening I was trying to figure out a chord in an anime OST. After watching this video my job became much easier..and I was able to identify three of those confusing chord patterns. Thanks a lot!😊

    So that means we dont need to think of scales ...we can just select the chords as per their bass/root notes...

    I know and can identify intervals pretty well. If I hear 2 notes simultaneously, 90%+ of the time I can only hear/guess the high note. The lower note I have a lot of difficulty hearing what it is to sing. I'm a seasoned guitar player knowing theory, but my ear training is difficult (I can sight read jazz charts). Hearing the lower note.... arg! Any tips?

      That's my problem with the whole "just hear the bass note, it makes everything easy!". Yeah...just do this non-easy thing and the rest will be easy.

    I think you flipped the chords for Dmjor and Dminor. Dmajor is D , F# A and Dminor is D , F and A.
