    The question about sitting at a computer for 10 hours a day also applies to work from home jobs that are PC based. I got inflamed nerves in my hips/legs three times within a few years that were so painful I needed prescription strength anti--inflammatory meds to help cure it, along with special cushions for my chair. I also need to make excuses to get up and do something on my feet once every few hours of work and to keep repositioning every 10 to 15 minutes or I risk doing it again. I think the issue isn't sitting for 10 hours a day and more a lack of movement outside of those 10 hours. If you exercise for an hour a day and sit for 10, I don't think that's necessarily unhealthy. It's a balance.

      Have you considered a sit/stand desk? If you ask your workplace they might even help you pay for it... And by ask I mean propose that they help you fund it and put forth the arguments for why you need it and how it actually benefits them. For example you wouldn't need to take as many breaks during the day making you more efficient, it would help improve your overall health and prevent unnecessary absence due to illness etc.

    • @DarkusZarvix
      @DarkusZarvix 10 місяців тому +1

      @@Kriss_941 Yeah, I've tried the standing desk and even the treadmill under the standing desk. Due to an unrelated injury when I was a kid, my legs are slightly different lengths; not enough for special shoes/insoles but enough to impact standing for long periods. For me, standing on legs that are slightly different lengths causes my knees, hips and spine to sit crooked when standing in one place without moving much for more than and hour or two. That led to more pain overall with a standing desk and swapping back and forth would happen once every hour and I felt I was spending so much time going between sitting/standing that 5 minute breaks every 2 hours was about the same amount of time. Walking is easier so the treadmill idea I thought would help but my job is super detail oriented and the movement while walking made the mouse control incredibly difficult.
      I do have a side business and I do some quick chores around the house during those breaks. Starting a load of laundry, filling the sink to do dishes, pouring a candle layer, prepping grocery lists, cleaning a countertop real quick, etc are all things I do real quick during my breaks. I'm just lucky that my job doesn't have tons of meetings so I can easily multi-task and make use of my time I can't be at my PC doing work. But for most, yeah, I'd recommend a standing desk or treadmill under a standing desk to stay active during typically sitting-only jobs. It just doesn't work for me for other reasons.

      Yeah, it’s so interesting how the understanding of “friendship” slightly differs from culture to culture. I’m from Russia and here a lot of people view friends not as people they know and like, but from the standpoint of “would they give you their kidney if you needed it to survive”. Obviously an exaggeration and may differ among the specific culture depending on smaller groups and independent individuals, but it is definitely an interesting phenomenon

    It's weird to see people in the comment section hate on Hasan for his perspective on the world when they are commenting on a video from a channel that for the past few years has been devoted to raising awareness & giving people perspective on issues that are really important.

      Those people are probably mostly from outside Anthony’s community. They travel across UA-cam to wherever he happens to appear in, in order to post their “takes”. It’s really sad tbh.

      That is one of the most preciously naive takes on Hasan ive ever read. Bless your heart mate, but in all sincerity, Hasan is a gigantic piece of shit that couldnt give a single fuck about another human being. He has done more damage by spreading misinformation and teaching a generation of misguided/uneducated teens how to incorrectly digest information on sociopolitical matters, than the little bit of spreading awareness he has done (which is like bare minimum journalism, and he isnt even doing it with integrity)

      Hes doesnt believe in crap he preaches. He shouldnt be idolized at all. Hes reports misinfo without doing research. You should look up the debate he had with willymac. It will change how you might precieve him.

      @@duckyworthIV what actual basis do you have to say things like that? Not some random words you are parroting from someone else. Hasan has done many things to practice what he preaches, just because it doesn't hit your sphere of the internet says more about you than him.

    The fact that Hasan dreams about streaming and presenting arguments just makes a lot of sense because I know in my life I will often dream about work, like just feeling very real and mundane. Except usually there’s an element of anxiety for me, like I’m either running later with every second of the dream to just get to work, or I’m at work and the day just isn’t going well. We tend to dream about things from real life, like dreaming is a way we’re processing the previous day, and sometimes it just ends up being very mundane rather than anything abstract.
