- I was very moved & overwhelmed by the kind gesture of my work team to buy me this amazing Mod as a Xmas gift. My 1st DNA chip enabled Mod. Let’s have a closer look at it.

The Balance V2 side-by-side style box mod is fitted with an Authentic Evolv DNA60 Chipset and supports variable wattage from 1W to 60W.
The mod supports 22mm diameter atomizer with max 36mm height with top cap and 24mm atomizer without top cap. The wattage is changeable by pressing either side of the screen under the device to navigate your chosen wattage up and down with zero buttons being needed.

Here are some settings. To lock the wattage press up and down at the same time, on V2 would be centre of the screen (or press 5 times the fire button) For stealth mode (turning off the screen) press fire button 5 times then hold fire and down together, to lock the ohms is the same as stealth but fire and up button.
For those who like to tinker. The USB port is inside, so you need to unscrew the two torx screws on the top and remove the body whereupon you can connect a micro USB cable to the USB port to Escribe platform.

Happy new year 2024, all wishes package, wonderful mod for RDL/MTL attys, maybe this mod will change your view about mod signal relevance because by personal experience, DNA signal is very different than usual wattage delivery, smoother, and even at 16W it can make a difference, I am curious to watch your future review after using this mod few weeks. (I finally have some NETs juices actually in steep!), thanks again for all your help and enjoy your gorgeous gifts!

Hi, you can lock just wattage by long pressing both + and - buttons together. So, you can still continue to vape.

Just want to second that! Most of the time I vape temp control, but even in wattage mode, the dna60 is a superior vape 🤩

Or maybe it is psychological either way I’m enjoying it😀

Thanks. The mod’s menu seems to cater to wattage only I haven’t yet figured out the settings. Also I read on a website that V2 can connect to Evolve Escibe but I can’t seem to find any USB port so I have no idea how it can be done. Happy holidays to you & family as well
Hi Nathan! I assume It is the same mod sold by 2fdeal (which I have). If so, it hast a USB C port you get acces to when you unscrew the mod and put out the electronic block... that ist easy but you have to be careful when you put it Back inside not to break the display! That has happened to me and mine is already send to be repaired by a german modder.
@@derechtebela3102 Thanks for the info, yes you are right as I now know that as well. I actually wrote it in the description section along few more settings. Also I showed a picture of that USB port towards the end of my review of the Diplomat RTA.
Dvarw MTL FL - 22mm with the 3.5ml tank fits perfect ❤ Mine is an authentic but it shouldn't make a difference as I'm guessing they are the exact same size. Only difference I can see is mine has red o-rings lol

Nice review, I love mine and glad you got one for Xmas Nathan. More 22mm mtl atomisers will fit inside the cover than one might think, I managed to squeeze a 37mm Moka clone in it and it vaped fine and a 25mm tank will fit as a sbs. The usb port is inside so you have to unscrew the two torx screws on the top and remove the body whereupon you can connect a micro usb cable for escribe, I find it handy, e.g. I upped wattage increments from 0.1 to 0.5 and displayed battery % plus you can load profiles for different atomisers if you want and then you can just select a tank as the settings are stored but best to do it all at once so you don't have to open it up again. You can also rotate the 510 plate but that's even more complicated. Btw 5Avape also made a dna60 version of the original balance as well as the one with the Ambitions Mod chip. Have a good one and take care.

I am delighted for you Nathan and glad it arrived in time for you. There isn’t an option for using escribe with this device as it would need the usb port which isn’t fitted. I thought if you take it apart there is a usb in there? I could be wrong or maybe I'm mixing that up with a different mod 🤷🏻♂️

Hello, Nathan. Greetings! Between the Kayfun X and the Dvarw MTL FL 24mm, which one do you recommend?
It is like Which car do you prefer Mercedes or BMW😊 Both are top of their class but different in someways. One is a top fill & other is bottom fill etc either one you choose you chose well. Maybe just maybe the flavour is tad sharper on the Dvarw.

So there is no usb port to recharge the battery ? 😢
You need to undo 2 top screws and take off the shell casing you would see a USB port. But it is too time consuming for battery recharging it is for firmware upgrades via evolve website. Battery charger is anyway a good idea with daily charging and they are cheap to buy.

I don’t think this mod has a TC mode. So far I think it only has wattage mode. Unless someone will correct me if I am wrong in the above assumption. I certainly didn’t discover yet any other settings but the default wattage mode.

@7:34 you can see, the original V2 has a USB port for updating the device.
Normally, there is no need to update the DNA60, different to DNA-C boards, where it could make sense. Some high end DNA60 mods don't even have a USB port installed.
But it could get important, because Evolv is developing a new firmware for DNA60 including famous Replay mode, known from the DNA-C boards.
Small explanation: With this feature you can save your last puff and the chipset replicates it for future puffs. You run out of liquid? Replay reduces the wattage near to zero, so you'll not get any dryhit.
But the development could still take some time.

Thanks for your informative feedback. For me as a wattage only vaper I don’t need to update at all. Although I am wondering if there is no USB ports that I can see on the Mod how can one upgrade at all
@@netvaper The DNA60 chipset and its firmware is absolutly reliable. So, some creators of high end mods don't see the point to implement a USB-Port, because of aesthetic reasons and because dirt could get in.
And some hide the USB port inside, like Stratum Balance V2 (Edd (5avape) Balance should be designed the same), for still having the opportunity to apply an update.
And another fact: If you don't have a USB port outside or inside, there is still a way to update your chip without soldering cables to the board: DNA60 USB dongle made bei stealthvape in the UK.
As you have such nice pipes in your collection, like shown in this video, I am pretty sure, sooner or later, you will also own a nice Dicodes mod like Dani Micro or Dani Mini (my recommendation, fits perfect in your hand). ☺

I received mine just the other day and can only concur...It's a beauty for sure - the Arcana 22 with cap performs wonderfully.
There is a list of compatible atomisers (for use with the cap) which Mark Todd kindly listed (below), no doubt there are many others, eg. the Neeko and Artemis!!

I already have mods whit DNA chipset , yes it it accurate in readings W,V, Ohm... but I just need W mode bcz I already know my sweet spot for every coil I use . 👍🏻🎄

You don’t say, really😀 the title reads clearly Edd Balance not Strartum. Seriously though the DNA60 is authentic as the original. If you ask me I can’t see any differences regarding design and solid quality feel. So it is your decision.
