- Started the day with the VP on Marine 2, ended with Biden in the East Room of the White House, and in the middle, I saw the Oracle/Red Bull Formula One car floating down the Potomac River.
It was a weird day.

Very beautiful blue sky with nice puffy clouds.
good on the spot views again., Looked like on spot as the fire engines came in. Excellent view of firemen at work, esp the close up the ladder 'stairs' they used. Looks easier to climb than the ring by ring ladder steps of old.
Here's a funny note: back in 'the day', (90's) there was an Inn/Restaurant called The Old Anglers Inn, near where I lived, by the Potomac, where we locals had rumor that this was where many senators/diplomats/ etc., brought their 'mistresses' for an afternoon-evening of delight!!!! Very secluded from DC

Old Anglers Inn is still around. Not sure who eats there though. It's pricey.
You are really good on that bike! We rode them for the first time last fall when we were there. They aren’t as easy as I thought!

I lived in Potomac at the Great Falls and Falls Rd- MacArthur area, there is no way a float with a car on it could go down there

I agree with your logic about sharing your sub sandwich. You did buy them a lasagna, that looked very good. If you keep bring them food home, they will start asking if they can stay at home forever ! I was also trying to figure out why old Joe had the Greek gentleman as a guest to the WH. Then I remembered that, everything is Greek to him !

F1 car was cool to see, if you ever get the chance to go to a GP I would say go for it, it’s a great spectacle. I’ve been fortunate enough to attend a couple of F1 test days and GP’s because of my employer and I’ve met David Coulthard too, he’s a great guy.
