What you said about the torque increase of unequal length headers is actually false. An equal length header will make more torque across the whole powerband. The volumetric efficiency of the engine improves with the scavenging effect of equal length exhaust, in addition to the turbo receiving a more favourable exhaust pulse spacing
In all honesty takeoff that fart can. Get it tuned. Open source Tuning is the best for those cars. Never ever ever ever ever use a COBB Tuner. I know, because I have one of the fastest Bugeye wagons in the country. Stock ball valve can handle up to 350 400 hp leave that on. Top mount intercooler is good till about 350 to 400 HP. From Mount is a good upgrade but you will get turbo lag until you get a better turbo. Everything on Subaru even just an intake needs a tune. By the way, the stock intake on those cars are one of the best All you have to do is mod the airbox on the inside of the fender. There is so many posts on form websites in regards to that even on UA-cam as well.
