Here is another thing about Bob Gunton. He also served in Vietnam an an RTO in the 2nd Battalion 501st 101 Airborne Division. He was in the Battle of Fire Support Base Ripcord in 1970. Funny thing the REAL Ron Kovic was also an RTO in real life in the Marines and served in that role on his first tour in December 1965 to January 1967.
