Such a nice day! I'm a little envious... You may have heard this already from others who were on the same cruise as us, but we didn't get to go to Catalina- the weather caused the tender boats to not be able to get there in time. 😭 My sister and I were supposed to go ziplining- something I've been wanting to do forever. I literally started crying when they announced we were having a sea day instead. I vaguely remember visiting Catalina Island as a little girl and had been excited to return. We did get to go to Ensenada, but our horseback ride was canceled too. Such rotten luck- I'd been really looking forward to doing some of the more adventurous excursions that I don't normally get to do when traveling with my young daughters! Oh well...I guess I'll just need to go back some day. I love Tiana's! Such a fun restaurant! I had a Princess and the Frog shirt on the day we were there- Tiana loved it.
What a bummer to hear that! So sorry you missed Catalina. Surely a disappointment, but good job keeping it positive! We definitely feel fortunate we were able to have such fantastic weather 😊
What a beauitful day in Catalina! We had cold rain. We did the golf cart trip which could have been awesome, but instead was a little chilly! Oh well, can't plan the weather! One thing I did notice when watching your video - we did NOT have Tiana and Louis at our dinner! I am SO SAD! They didn't mention it so I thought I was mis-remembering that they would appear. The food was great and we enjoyed the live music, but sort of different experience without the main characters! We also saw dolphins, so beautiful! Glad you guys had a perfect day. I do have to agree, though...for doing "nothing", we are usually very exhausted on our cruising days! It's a different feeling than being DL or WDW exhausted. I can't describe it. Glad to know we aren't the only ones!
That’s so odd. We’ve always seen the characters in there when we’ve eaten there (except pirate night). And you are totally right. It’s definitely not parks exhausted, just kinda tired 😊 but a good tired!
That huge dolphin pod was pretty amazing. The Avalon Miniature Golf looks like a fun activity. The Bellanca Hotel food looks really good, especially the lobster roll, papas bravas fries, and mac n cheese. What a great table location you had at Tiana's. I love the shrimp and grits and that sea bass is the best. Wife, daughter, granddaughter, and I are going on the Disney Wonder April 18, 2024 3-Night Baja cruise in a few days so it was a real treat seeing your video!
SOMEONE once told me that the Disney Band Magic + wasn’t worth the price, but my gosh I do see SOMEONE seem to really be enjoying that said band. No names involved here. 😂😂😂 HBD Chris!! Glad to see those bands are getting some use. 😉💯

Catalina Island is one of our favorite port in the west coast and love the marine life we have experience on these cruises so I’m glad you ran into the pod of dolphins. Glad you guys tested the mini golf since cause we did not make it cause our cruise had a mini golf but totally worth making note of it. I’m with you guys Tiana is by far our favorite dining on the Wonder. It just checks all of the boxes lol

I believe those were porpoises not dolphins. Very similar but different. Still super awesome to see so many grouped together like that. Enjoying this adventure! Keep moving forward --------->

We were on the sailing right before yours. There were tons of dolphins in the morning on our Catalina day too. We did a scavenger hunt and one of the clues was at the mini golf course that you went to. Also, our Tiana's night had a different menu and they didn't have beignets that night. We were really disappointed. We were going to try them at French Quarter, but never got around to it.
We’ve had different menus at times as well, but that one is a bummer to miss. The beignets on the ship are good, but if you ever go to Disneyland, you have to try the beignets at Beignets Expressed in DownTown Disney. The best on the west coast!!! Better than Mickey beignets 😊
I went to the Campus by the Sea on the other side of Catalina Island for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship week long Spring break and it was such a blast!

I remember visiting Catalina Island over a decade ago when I was still in college. It was a few weeks before I got my bachelor’s degree and I was in a College Christian student organization called InterVarsity.
Do you know what the name of that beach is called? Or a landmark of where its by? I'm going on this cruise in 10 days and would love to take my baby to this beach =]
Hi! It is the beach right next to the pier. You will come up to it as you are walking off the tender boat. Maybe a 5 minute or less walk. You take little steps down right before the pier.
I love all the girls curly hair beautiful 😍 I’m getting excited for my first cruise in October Brisbane Australia. My daughter is autistic, is the Frozen show very loud? (She will have her headphones on). And which dining time is the quieter for the two?

late dinner is definitely quieter
We have only done later dining, so we can’t say, but if there is a show, like at Tiana’s, it will be loud. Fun, for sure, but loud.
