I didn’t care for Josh’s albums or live performances. There’s Something about John and Hillel. They both have and had great chemistry with the band. It makes everything sound better. It’s natural and it flows.
I rarely log into YT let alone comment but here goes. I think Dave Navarro is an incredibly talented guitarist and he lends his own style into the Chilis it must have been hard for him joining a funk-oriented band with not much of a care for it. He played guitar on one of my favorite songs of all time (Aeroplane) and I think he found his middle ground with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. And that's alright with me. P.S. Hope people are still watching this video! Still one of my fave performances of this song! Thanks for the upload!
Absolutely. John is a huge reason why RHCP is where they are today. Obviously the best guitar player they had, but Josh, Dave, and Hillel were/are great guitarists too.

To me is like Rhcp featuring Eddie Van Halen or something like that 😉😎😁👍 anyway, Josh Klinghoffer now is the nice guy in this band, the good combo-mix with past and the future in Rhcp world 😏

Flea was given a new leace of life playing with Dave, he had a lot more say and room to express as Dave held back a bit due to being a new member. I bloody love one hot minute! It’s so unique, hard and kicks ass. Yes, it’s not John, but at least Daves plays true to himself and doesn’t try to make an album emulating John like what Klinghoffer tries to achieve. Dave is a serious player and won’t emulate anyone, he kicks ass and had the balls to be different.
I don't know who messed up at the begining but I honestly don't care because the chilis are awesome and if they make some mistakes during a concert is because they try too hard and they are always setting the bar a little bit higher in each show, that's something I like about them
This song attracted me to them. I recorded it on a mix tape to show my friends about this new style of music. Blood Sugar Sex Magic was ok, but it seemed like they never recaptured the intensity they had on this song. Actually, I hated their popular stuff. It had no magic.

Also, really hope you weren't implying Jane's Addiction were strictly a metal band. There's more to them than that. Songs like Obvious, Classic Girl, Then She Did, Slow Divers, Idiots Rule, Jane Says, Summertime Rolls, etc. etc. aren't exactly "metal."

Totally agree with that. Josh doesn't play that heavy which is a bit of a bummer, but he's still been doing a great job on tour. Heavier RHCP songs fit Dave more like Mother Milk songs.

It's funny that he doesn't bother to use the wah pedal for the main riff but then does for the solo. Persoannly I prefer the riff with the wah but that is a great solo!
Dave Navarro is very good guitarrist but Frusciante is another level, He's on the top of the charts, tecnique and composition in antoher level, but most important, Stone Cold Bush solo is a john frusciante classic...
