You know your run is going good when you have two copies of the final boss on your side of the board
This is honestly one of the best games of 2023 and I love your playthrough for this Retro, keep it up! Very fun to watch.
I just finished the last achievement in this game yesterday! It was actually stacking 50 shell. I had a run with infinite money using the shade (summon 1 hp copy of enemy), the freeze all enemies guy with 2x frenzy and apply 2 snow, and a leader with smackback. I permanently froze the enemy's board with the exception of the boss (who can only have one snowball at a time) and continued to copy the money goblin. Every time the boss attacked I received 4 money, and there was no threat of losing. I stopped at 500 but could have kept going indefinitely!

Loving this series and hope it sticks around long enough to name heroes after Patreons so we have an unkillable Tom just wiping everyone.
Thinking about it...a sacrifice based deck, although a bit strange in playstyle comparatively, could be potentially both very strong to play while making an easier boss to play against...

Sacrifice keyword turns into "trigger when ally dies" when it's the enemy. But yeah, the other parts of sacrifice are pretty interesting... The items at least. Edit: Wait. Am I thinking of the right keyword?

I am still in utter awe of how an amazing gamer you are, Reto. I can't imagine myself lasting long with the cards that you were dealt with in this episode. And that's not even including the fact that you defeated the boss first thing after you just woke up in the morning. Kudos to you, Reto ❤

40:09 adding frenzy to junjun mask then using card sculpter to gain copy of the skullmist tea woulda been an insane combo where you place 2 junjuns, sacrifice one (+2 to all allies and +4 in total to the reaper guy) then later u sacrifice the other junjun who now has 4 attack due to the previous sacrifice (+4 to all allies and +8 in total to the reaper) which results in all your allies having +6 attack and your reaper guy having +12
although now that im further in the vid, having a shade copy a high attack enemy is much better
You can copy any unit except for bosses. You can copy mini bosses (including the Frost Guardian *mini* boss)

Berry sis synergises absurdly well with blank mask. Especially if you copy the mask, or add some healing like heartsmith station.

I wouldn't give any stock to tier lists you'd see for even the next like month or so. I won't say I wouldn't, but I will say that I haven't even used 1/4th of the cards yet lol.
That copy ability is plain nifty, hehe.

I just won a run, where my snoofl had a frenzy charm, a increase effects charm and a -1 turn attack, with demonize to all in my hero, that also had 3 charms, and some other stuff, I've reached this boss dunno how many times, my snoofl now has 18 hp and 7 attack, gives 3 snow per hit with 3 frenzy and a 2 cd ^^
Fights do have many moving parts, but if you understand them, you really can beat almost any run. This game is much more beatable than high ascension Slay the Spire, Monster train or Trials of Fire.
Anyway if people want more easy mode, they should have it, but it should be separate from the current difficulty curve.
EDIT. This run was... junky.
You know, I have been in similar situations as your fight starting at 54:00 (Krunker), only they killed me. But you danced for, almost exactly, 20 straight minutes in that fight and I'm still not entirely sure how you pulled it off xD

Mega Mimik does 2 attacks and then you heal it by recalling (discarding) it.
i don't think you can heal machinery in this game

I don't understand why not put down the snow and gold charms. Could someone explain?
it makes the boss harder while providing zero benefit to me because:
A) I'm not going to snowball any of my units at that point.
B) Money isn't needed at that point.
and
A) I definitely may snowball the boss version of the unit.
B) The game often converts charms that don't benefit the enemy into raw attack damage for the boss version.

I don’t understand why the enemies copied to your side just die when they attack in the infernoko fight makes no sense to me
Anything that is summoned can't be recalled, and lose 1 health after triggering
This run wasn't as fun as I thought it would be. Stacking damage is amazing but you got unlucky with the Munchers. Deck too thick, the flow was completely disrupted. Very annoying for sure.
Still an amazing game and a good run though, these bosses were nerve-wrecking NGL
I seriously have a love & hate relationship with this game...the RNG is fcking me up (enemy with Aimless + high attack can go fck themselves) but I cant stop playing because whenever I do a new run I always found new cards which excites me even when I only managed to passed the 3rd boss so far I just cant seem to get to the finish line...this game difficulty is honestly brutal maybe thats why the mixed review on steam...I hope the dev tries appease to the casual player as well...I don't mind the challenge but going in with zero knowledge its like dark soul of deckbuilding...you will lose a lot
