Pope Francis said laws criminalizing homosexuality are “unjust,” calling homosexuality a sin for Catholic worshippers - but not a crime. “Being homosexual isn’t a crime,” Francis said in an interview this week with The Associated Press.
He noted that Catholic bishops around the world support laws criminalizing homosexuality and discriminating against LGBTQ individuals. He said the leaders should "have to have a process of conversion,” and opt for “tenderness, please, as God has for each one of us.”
“We are all children of God, and God loves us as we are and for the strength that each of us fights for our dignity,” Francis said. The pope said the Catholic Church should work to end laws criminalizing homosexuality.

Whole family is Christian and I go to a church full of christians. We certainly do not practice hate because Jesus taught with love. We love all but hate the sin. I love my brother that commits bank robbery but I hate the sin. I love all but hate sin. This pope is going against God by saying its not a crime. The point people aren’t understanding is yes it is a sin but we are all sinners and must not point fingers because none of us are perfect. All sin is equally wrong, but not all sin is equally bad. I would rather be robbed than murdered. Both are equally illegal, but I don’t know anyone who would say they are equal. This is especially clear regarding sin against other people. In the Old Testament, some offenses brought about the death penalty. Others were along the lines of “an eye for an eye,” while others carried a punishment or repayment of some sort. The Old Testament Law spends much time instructing Israel how to deal with the earthly results of sin and crime. God gave us the instinct to have common sense regarding which sins are worse than the other or are relatively the same. All sin does separate us from God. Just some have more of an impact than another. Just like a sentence handed down from a judge. If we know something is a sin and we willfully continue in that sin bc we want to pick and choose what's right or wrong, we are playing God and therefore are separated from God. That's when we can go down a path of being very vulnerable to being tempted by the devil. The longer that goes on, the harder it will be to ever change up your mindset, fight your demons, and repent. You'll see street preachers on YT conversing with people who don't believe in Jesus or God and they always yell, scream, curse the pastor, and sometimes incite vandalism or violence. You'll never see that type of behavior from a true Christian.

I listened to man instead of God my whole life they always said homosexuality is not in the Bible or it’s man and child or it’s just love. I was bisexual for 18 years I’m 23 now and I always thought I was born this way until I started questioning if it was okay. It was always in the back of my mind when I was with the same gender and God showed me it wasn’t okay, the reason I like the same gender was because of sexual abuse from the same gender I was 6 and she was my teacher. That is what created me gay and perverted my mind. Jesus will not shame you he loves you all equally so much. He just wants to help you and save you turn to him before it’s too late when he comes back he won’t be merciful anymore. Jesus delivered me from homosexuality, video game addiction, suicide, healed me of physical and emotional abuse, depression, self harm, gay relationship, fear etc… he can to you too. Stop listening to man and start listening and following God read his word (the Bible) and see for yourself or just talk to him and he will show you anything and help you with anything.

My first point to you would be consider truly if the God of the bible is real, then once that is established, go into the morality. Just remember, God wants what is best for you. But blessing a homosexual union is not within the scope of Christianity (or any religion of the world), and therefore, if the Pope is going to pursue his own personal feeling rather than follow the teachings of Christianity, he should step aside, let someone else lead us, and join an LGBTQIA+++ entity. It's about the fundamental virtues and protocol of the largest church in the world, and the blessing of homosexual unions is not part of it. The blessings of men who marry their mothers, or their dogs, or any other union falls under the same category. All individuals need love, forgiveness, and blessings, but not all unions are to be blessed... especially if the essence of their union is sinful in the eyes of the church. Again, it doesn't matter what I think, I'm referencing the laws of this specific religion. The pope was implying that since homosexuality was a sin and we all sin, it is normal for some people to gravitate towards it, so there’s no need for making homosexuality a more severe sin than cursing for example. He said that it’s not a “crime” because being “gay” doesn’t harm no one.

If he’s going by what the God of the Bible says than he’s wrong in stating it’s not a crime. I’m not catholic however so I don’t listen to or take stock in what the pope has to say. But I am a Bible believing Christian, who believes homosexuality is wrong. If you think it’s a fairytale that’s your choice.
