- I sat down with Luka Doncic one day removed from the Dallas Mavericks' 107-99 loss to the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of the 2024 NBA Finals to ask him about his late-game ejection, scrutiny received for his defense and how he's feeling ahead of Game 4.

Yeah, Boston fan here... I honestly don't know enough about the Mavs but it just appears that he has no faith in his team. He puts up so many shots and clearly thinks the team more or less revolves around him. Again, I don't know if this is warranted or how they accept things to be, but it shouldn't be that way.
The refs decided the last two games in favor of Boston. It was obvious. If Boston is the better team leave them to win it by themselves, don’t give it to them by preventing the possibility to lose in the last minute or minutes.
Speaking about Luka, he was fouled out by the refs - his last two fouls were actually fouls by Brown against Luka, not by Luka against Brown.
It’s obvious that they will not allow Dallas to be the champion because they don’t want Luka who is the best player in the world by far to be officially the face of NBA because that doesn’t fit the political agenda. It’s about politics, it’s not about sports. The coordinated media hit-pieces against Luka are actually the confirmation for that. A clown show in a sad world. Luka was above everybody in the first 2 games against Boston, he was the main reason Dallas to reach the finals, even though playing injured all the time, and suddenly literally overnight he is a total failure and he is the guilty one Dallas being 0-3 against Boston. Forget about the refs, forget about Kidd taking a time out when his team has big momentum, forget about the heroic and unmatched effort of Luka to this point of the playoffs and the whole season. Luka is in his own league. One level below him is Jokic. And one level below Jokic are the best of the rest. Media does not like that (they stole the MVP from Luka this year as they stole it from Jokic last year) and will continue to recreate the reality and to try to destroy Doncic because he is not the right man for the political agenda in a politicized sport.

Luka have been in the pro’s since he was a teenager. Playing in his home country Slovenia and in Spain. This is his gift and he is an athlete he will be fine and so will the Mavs. These guys started playing together in the middle of the season after the trade and look how far they went!!! It is just remarkable and totally awesome. We Mavs fans are proud of them!!! We love our squad and we love our city Dallas Texas!!!! #MFFL

Agreed. They weren't supposed to make it this far. They got lucky playing against inexperienced teams. Western conference was wide open this year and everything fell in their favor. However, Celtics are overdue.
If any of you have ever been in sports of any kind. You know the toughness that is required to be competitive! I’ve been in sports since I was a kid, I’ve coached Volleyball for 12 years and I’m a CPT for now 9 years. You work through pain, fatigue and naysayers and how you feel about yourself when your performance is not at its best. It’s not luck but when you’re gifted it comes with the highs and lows but at the end winners will enjoy the fruit of their gifts.

Here are some simple statistics for all the dummies (Windy included). In the game 3 of this finals, while Luka was on the floor (38 minutes) Dallas was up +9. While Luka was out on the bench (10 minutes) Dallas was down -16.
Now tell me again that Luka’s defense should be the main topic for today’s basketball conversation.

Despite the injuries and complaining for fouls, he just needs to reset and play ball. Just makes it more difficult when he is focusing on getting a foul you will not get versus putting attention on a play at a time, getting his shot, letting Kyrie do his thing, and putting trust in his teammates that need to bring energy, effort, and winning plays.

I do believe those were fouls, but historically those fouls are not called and many, many worst calls were ignored on both sides. To foul out when you're in a come back and it was easy calls to overlook, to me meant the referees made it about them. The game was up to the referees at the end. But, I do believe the better team won.
Love Luka, my favorite player after Lebron, but I always remember a couple yrs back when he said the NBA is so easy because there’s no physicality….cut to him constantly complaining to the ref when someone touches him and also cut to him possibly being swept because he can’t handle the physical nature of playoff basketball
