    Really excellent, informative and clearly explained video. Thanks!
    Question: are signals transient, or do they remain and can be detected with a multimeter? Like high and low?
    Or a signal turns high for a short period and then reverts to low once the signal is passed and acknowledged?

      You need to follow the power up sequence and check for each signal whether it is present or not

      Hi brother
      First check the 3.3v ldo at the EC chip
      If it is there try reprogramming it befor you decide to replace it..
      and is worth checking the EC ON line for short circuit to GND...

      It will be a voldtage normally.. 3v is High or 0 v Low
      Pulled up 0v->3v
      Pulled down 3v->0v
      Trigger up 0v->3v-0v over mll seconds
      Trigger down 3v ->>0v->>>3v over mil seconds

    Would be a good idea to number the diffent stages to be able to logically track the various signals... But excellent work and your English is excellent . Kindly do a video explaning how to track the sequence using a schematic diagram if possible. Thanks again!!!!

    Wrre can will locate the ldo

    • @FixTronics
      @FixTronics  2 роки тому +1

      Its the 3 and 5 VALW power supply chip
      This chip will generate the 3v LDO directly after it receives the adapter 19v and then it will produce the 3VALW and 5VALW when it receives the enable signals at the ENTRIP1 and 2 pins from the EC Chip

    Thank you very much for detailed explanation.
    Is this for both desktop motherboards and laptops?
    Is PBTN.OUT a voltage drop from 3.3V to 0V when the button is pressed?
    I work on a motherboard where it is only 0.8V when not pressed (it drops to 0 when pressed). I think this is not correct but all the voltages supplied to Superio seem to be present, I'm puzzled....
